Jefferson Community College Cannoneers @ Clinton Community Cougars November 16th 2025

Jefferson Community College's Jaydon Koiner (3) takes flight as he drives to the hoop for the score in the 88-78 victory. We would have NJCAA Division III Region III Men's Basketball from Clinton Community College, with the home Cougars hosting the visiting Jefferson Community College Cannoneers, who would get back on the winning track after yesterday's loss to Onondaga Community College. The game would be tight through the first half as the teams would trade the lead back and forth, and when the intermission hit, the Cannoners would have the slim 36-34 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cannoners would explode out of the gate and take a quick 16-point lead and look to have the game in hand. Although the Cougars would give everything they could to get back in the game and, at one point, had it within four in the closing minutes, the Cannoners would win the half 52-44 and secure the 88-78 win. Gouvenour Wildcats Vs Saranac Spartans November 15th 2025

The Saranac Spartans are crowned the 2025 Section VII-X Super Bowl champions with a 29-6 win over the Gouvenour Wildcats. It would be the start of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Football playoffs, and we would see the Gouverneur Wildcats and the Saranac Spartans at Plattsburgh High School, with the winner playing Schuylerville next weekend in the quarterfinals. The teams would use the first quarter as a feeling-out time, as neither team would be able to score. Then at the 5:41 mark of the second quarter, the Spartans would strike on a 15-yard pass to Chace Scovil for the 8-0 Spartans lead. The Spartans would keep coming and extend their lead to 15-0 on a 41-yard run by Teegan Smith, and they would take the 15-0 lead into the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half, the Wildcats would get the game back within one score when Haden Stowell took it from 2 yards out. The game would stay there till there were 35 seconds left in the quarter when Chace Scovil would strike again, this time from 3 yards out, as the score would go to 22-6. Then at the 4:10 mark of the fourth quarter, Storm D'Ambro would score on the 17-yard pass strike and take the 29-6 lead and put the game out of reach. With that, the Spartans would get the win and go to 7-3 on the season, and will face the defending champion Schuylerville next in the quarterfinals. Buffalo State Bengals @ #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 15th 2025

Plattsburgh State's Zoe Puc (37) with the wrister that she rifles to the top corner, but doesn't find the net. It would be the #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Buffalo State Bengals in women's hockey SUNYAC action in front of 400 fans. The Cardinals would waste little time getting the opening goal of the game at the 8:41 mark of the first period from Kayson Ruegge, and from there, defense would be the name of the game as it would be the lone goal of the game, but the Bengals would be held to just 12 shots on net. In the winning effort, Chloe Lewis made 12 saves in the shutout victory, as the Buffalo State Bengals go to 3-1 on the season, while the Buffalo State Bengals fall to 3-3. William Smith Herons @ #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 14th 2025

Plattsburgh State's Sydnee Francis (5) with the wrister on net as the Cardinals get the 4-0 win. It would be the first-ever SUNYAC Conference meeting between the #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the William Smith Herons from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 373 fans. The Cardinals would take the lead at the 8:13 mark from Kayson Ruegge's lone goal of the period for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 4:49 mark of the second when Riley Keller would score to increase the Cardinal lead to 2-0. The Cardinals would keep on the gas and extend their lead to 3-0 about 5 minutes later on the Bailey MacKellar goal. The Cardinals would finish off the game at the 16:28 mark of the third period, as Piper Smith became the fourth different scorer of the game. Norwich Cadets @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 11th 2025

Plattsburgh State's Irwayne Connell (35) drives to the basket past the defender for the score as part of his nine-point night. It would be the home opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals, as they would host traditional non-conference foe the Norwich Cadets from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference on Veterans Day, in front of 500 fans. The game would go back and forth in the first half, with both teams leading but always staying within 10 points, and the Cadets would have a 41-37 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals' defense would step up as they would hold the Cadets to just 19 points for the half, while the offense would get out there and score 30, as the home Cardinals would secure the 67-60 victory as they go to 2-0 on the season. In the winning effort, the Cardinal Reem Welch led all scorers with 24 points. For the Cadets, they will fall to 1-1 on the season, and Michael Ndayishimiye would lead the way with 21 points. Gallery

Fulton Montfomery Community College Raiders @ Clinton Community Cougars November 12th 2025

Clinton's Jay-den Matos (1) goes up and around the defender for the basket as part of the 90-76 win over Fulton Montgomery Wednesday night. The Clinton Community College Cougars would be back at home as they welcomed the Fulton Montgomery Raiders, a fellow Region III opponent, looking to build on their win last week in the early season. Both teams entered the game at 1-1. The teams would play at a high-octane pace, up and down the court, and the first half would be tight throughout, with the Raiders leading 52-47 at the break. When the teams returned for the second half, the Raiders would keep it up and extend their lead to almost 15 before the Cougars would start to find the nylon, before they would turn up the jets and be off to the races as the Cougars would win the half 48-31 and secure the 90-76 victory. In the losing effort, the Raiders fall to 1-2 on the season as they are back in action at home over the weekend. As for Clinton Community College, they would improve to 2-1. As for the Gallery

SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves @ Clinton Community Cougars November 5th 2025

Clinton's Anthony Thomas (15) made a diving save along the sidelines to keep the offense going. It would be the Clinton Community College and the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves from the Clinton Community gym in NJCAA Region III Men's Basketball action. The home Cougars would be looking to avenge their season-opening loss, and they would be off to a good start as they would jump out to a 46-300 lead at the intermission. In the second half, though, the Timberwolves would do their best to get back in the game, nd in the closing seconds of the half, they would tie the game at 8. Although the Cougars would have one last chance, Jeffrey Weeks II would get the 85-83 victory. In the Cougars' winning effort, Jeffrey Weeks led the way with 23 points, as they go to 1-1 on the season heading into their game next week against Fulton Montgomery. Plymouth State Panthers @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 1st 2025

Plattsburgh State's Josh Belgrave (10) with the backhander for the goal as the Cardinals get the 4-0 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would face off with the Plymouth State Panthers in Non-Conference action at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 1400 fans. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead with just over three minutes left in the first period when Quinn Tavares would score. The game would stay there til there was 1:41 left in the second period when Blake Hall would score on the shorthand to make it a 2-0 game. The Cardinals would add a second shorthanded goal at the 1:59 mark of the third period when Josh Belgrave would score to make it a 3-0 game. Then, in the closing seconds of the game, the Cardinals would put the icing on the cake with Aaron Carter's goal to secure the 4-0 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Brady Spry would make 34 saves in the shutout win to go to 2-0 on the season. #15 Norwich Cadets @ #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals October 31st 2025

Plattsbuergh State's Tessa Morris (24) with the wrister in front of the net for one of her two goals on the afternoon as the Cardinals win 3-0. It would be the season opener for both the #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the #15 Norwich Cadets, as we have a top-15 match to start the season at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena in front of just over 300 fans. There would be no scoring in the first 20 minutes of the game, but that doesn't mean the teams didn't have their chances to score. It would take until just over halfway through the second period, at the 11:32 mark, when Tessa Morris would get the opening goal of the season and give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The game would remain there until the 7:37 mark of the third period, when Emily Kasprzak would score and the Cardinals would extend their lead to 2-0. Then, with just over 90 seconds left in the game, the Cardinals would add the empty-netter from Tessa Morris for her second of the game, as the Cardinals would wrap up their 3- 0 victory. In the Cardinals' effort, Chloe Lewis made 21 saves in the shutout victory as they will head to Endicott College next weekend. Castleton State Spartans @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals October 31st 2025

Plattsburgh State's Aaron Catron (12) with the shot from the right face-off circle that goes in to give the Cardinals the 4-1 lead. It would be the 2025-2026 season openers for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Castleton State Spartans from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 1100 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 16:51 mark of the first period. Patrick Cole would give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Spartans would answer right back 1:10 later on a shorthanded goal by Emmett McHardy to tie the game at 1. The Cardinals would come back and retake the lead at 2-1 on the Blake Hall goal 4:06 into the second period. Then, in the closing minutes of the period, the Cardinals would add three quick ones from Gabriel Filion (twice) and Aaron Catron to give them the 5-1 lead at the end of the second period. Then, in the third period, the Cardinals would put the icing on the cake at the 13:41 mark on the power-play goal by Jake Sacratini to secure the 6-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Dominik Bovan would make 22 saves as they went to 1-0 on the season. As for the Spartans, their goalies would combine for 19 saves as they fell to 0-1.
