It would be the start of the regular season's final weekend, and the Plattsburgh State Cardinals are fighting to host a first-round game in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament as they take on the Buffalo State Bengals in front of 650 fans. The first half of the game would be tight and back and forth, and the Cardinals would hold the slim 31-30 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, it would be more back and forth, with both of them having their chance to win the game down the stretch, but the Bengals would win the half 37-36 and force overtime tied at 67. In the overtime, the Cardinals would get the 78-77 win when Franklin Infante would make the game-winning free throw with seconds to spare. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Franklin Infante would lead the way with 24 points as they go to 13-11 on the season and head into their final game against the Fredonia State Blue Devils.
