#1 Beekmantown Eagles VS #2 Peru Nighthawks November 8th 2024
The Beekmantown Eagles would be crowned the 2024 Section VII Class B Champions with a 32-0 win over the Peru Nighthawks. It would be the Section VII Class B Football championships from the Plattsburgh High School, and it would be the classic rivalry as the #1 Beekmantown Eagles would take on their longtime rivals, the #2 Peru Nighthawks, for the title and the berth in the NYSPHSAA tournament. The game would start well for the Eagles as they would get on the board in the 7th minute of the first quarter when Patrick Hagadorn would hit the 34-yard field goal and give them the 3-0 lead. In the closing seconds of the first quarter, the Eagles would get the game's first touchdown on a 24-yard run from Shamus Bilbeau and take the 10-0 lead. Then, just past the halfway mark of the second quarter, the Eagles would connect on another field goal and take the 13-0 lead. However, during that drive, there would be a scary moment as the Eagles Quarterback Josh Sands would be tackled, have his lower leg, get rolled up on, and need to be stretched off the field. Then, with 11 seconds left in the half, the Eagles would strike again on Shamus Bilbeau's second game score, this time from 5 yards out, and take the 19-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Nighthawks would do their best to keep them in the game as the defense would step up, and there would be no scoring in the quarter, and the Eagles would hold onto the 19-0 lead as they entered the 4th quarter. In that fourth quarter, though, the Eagles would waste little time adding to their lead when Shamus Bilbeau would get his third game score, this time from 7 yards out, and they would take the 26-0 lead. Then, with just over two minutes left in the game, the Eagles would put the icing on the cake with a touchdown from Parker Broughton and make it a 33-0 win. With the win, the Eagles go to 8-1 on the season and will head to the Nymphs tournament next weekend against Ogdensburg on November 15th at Plattsburgh High School. Section VII Class A Girl's Soccer Championship: #2 Plattsburgh Hornets @ #1 Beekmantown Eagles October 30th 2024

Beekmanrown's Olivia Hagadorn (22) fends off Plattsburgh's Bailey Hewson (10) and fights through and gets the shot on net as they get the 5-0 win. It would be championship Wednesday for Section VII, at least on the class A level from the Northeastern Clinton Soccer Field, and the first matchup of the night would see the #1 Beekmantown Eagles looking to repeat their title against the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets for the right to head to the New York State tournament. The Eagles would get the scoring in the 14th minute as they would take the 1-0 lead on the Grace McCasland goal. They would waste little time doubling their lead to 2-0 on the Carly Hafadorn goal. Then, to finish off an impressive 7-minute stretch, they would score again, this time from Payton Parliment, as she would score in the 21st minute to make it a 3-0, and that's where the scoring would stop in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay hot, and they would extend their lead to 4-0 in the 46th minute as Payton Parliment added her second goal of the night; in the 57th minute, the Eagles would put the finishing touches on the game as Olivia Hagadorn would find the back of the net and make it a 5-0 game. From there, the Eagle's defense would put the final touches on the game as they would only allow three shots on the net in the winning effort. Also, in the winning effort, Grace McCasland would have 1 goal and four assists on the night as she would get game MVP. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles will enter the New York State tournament with a 16-1 record and play Schalmont 16-0 in the opening round. #2 Plattsburgh Hornets Vs #1 Beekmantown Eagles October 30th 2024

#3 Beekmanton Eagles @ #2 Plattsburgh Hornets October 25th 2024
Plattsburgh's Joel Avos (16) and Beemantown's (10) go after the ball at midfield as the Hornets would get the 1-0 win. It would be a semi-final action from the Plattsburgh High School as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Beekmantown Eagles in Section VII Class A Boy's Soccer action. The Hornets would waste little time in getting on the board as Joel Avos would score in the 15th minute of the game. That would end the scoring in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, both teams would give it everything they had, but the defense would be the game's name, and no one could find the back of the net. The Plattsburgh Hornets would get the 1-0 victory and go to 11-2-3 on the season and will face the undefeated Peru Nighthawks in the Section VII Class A Finals on October 30th. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 7: Plattsburgh Hornets @ #25 Beekmantown Eagles October 18th 2024

It would be a battle of the top two teams in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference during week #7 as the #25 Beekmantown Eagles would host the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Eagles would get off to a fast start just 2:12 into the game on a 34-yard run by Shamus Bilbeau to give the 7-0 lead. Then, three minutes later, the Eagles would strike again, this time on a Parker Broughton score from 14 yards out and take the 14-0 lead. Then, in the final minute of the quarter, Parker Broughton would score again, this time from 39 yards out, and take the 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Hornets would answer back 24 seconds into the second quarter on an 85-yard catch and run to Dominic Deangelo to make it a 20-8 game. However, the Eagles would answer right back 30 seconds later on a 50-yard pass and catch to Parker Broughton for his third score of the half as they made it a 28-8 game. Then, just over five minutes into the second quarter, Miguel Herrera was on the 1-yard score. The Eagles would end the scoring in the first half on a 30-yard pass to Patrick Hagadorn with seconds left to take the 41-8 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would pick up right where they left off as they would score just 2:15 into the quarter on a 13-yard run from Parker Broughton for his fourth score and make it a 48-8 game. Danny Hartman would be intercepted on the issuing Hornets drive, and Seth Beebee would bring it back for the score and make it a 55-8 game. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would get their second score of the game coming from George Dejesus to make it a 55-16 game, and that's where the game would end. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles would go to 6-1 on the season and finish off their season next weekend at Ausable Valley as they have clinched the regular season title. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 6: Saranac Lake Red Storm @ Peru Nighthawks October 12th 2024

Saranac Lake's David Montroy (34) fends off Peru's Chris Williams (12) as he breaks off the big run. It would be week #6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football season, and the Peru Nighthawks would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm from the Apple Bow. The Peru Nighthawks would get off to a quick start and have a 21-0 lead by the end of the first quarter on the Red Storm. The Nighthawks would keep the pedal down as they would get a 6-yard score from Landon Wilkins at the 3:15 mark and make it a 28-0 game. Then the Red Storm would get on the board with 1:53 left in the half on a 46-yard scoop and score of the Red Storm, making it a 28-7 game. Then, with 1- seconds left in the half, the Red Storm would score again on a 6-yard run to make it a 28-14 game as they head to the intermission. With under four minutes left in the third, the Nighthawks would extend the lead to 34-14 on a 1-yard run by Wyatt Bridges to make it 34-14. The game would stay there till the three-minute mark of the fourth when Carpenter would score on a 56-yard pass and catch it, making it a 41-14 game. Then, with 2:40 left in the game, Landon Wilkins would break off a big 73-yard run for the score and take the 48-14 victory, and from there, they would hold on for the win. It would be week #6 of the Champlain Vallery Athletic Conference Football season, and it would see the Moriah Vikings traveling up to Beekmantown and taking on the #25 Beekmantown Eagles as the Eagles would look to continue their winning ways. The Eagles would get the scoring going in the first quarter at the 8:14 mark on the 43-yard run by Parker Broughton to take the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 7:27 mark of the second quarter when the Vikings would strike for a 16-yard pass to Wyatt Whitman to tie the game at seven. The tie would be short-lived, though, as the Eagles would march down the field in 90 seconds and regain the lead at 14-7 on the 19-yard pass to Parker Broughton. Then, to close out the half, Patrick Hagadorn would hit a field goal to take the 17-7 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay hot as they extended the lead to 24-7 on Shamus Bilbeau's 28-yard run. The way through the quarter, Shamus Bilbeau would strike again, this time from 11 yards, as they took control of the game at 31-7. It would be a battle inside the top 20 as the #18 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #13 Beekmantown Eagles inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls's Soccer action as both teams start to make that late-season push for the playoffs. The Eagles would start the scoring in the 7th minute of the game as Grace McCasland scored to make it 1-0. The game would stay there till the 30th minute when Grace McCasland would strike again and make it a 2-0 Eagles lead, and that's where the first-half scoring would end. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay on the attack and extend their lead to 3-0 in the 47th minute on the goal from Carly Hagadorn. The Hornets would get on the board in the 63rd minute on the goal from Bailey Hewson, and there would be a bit of history as she would get her 100th point in her career, making it a 3-1 game. From there, the Eagles' defense would take control of the game, and that's where the game would end.
