The Peru Nighthawks are crowned the 2024 Section VII Class A champions with their 3-0 victory over the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be the second game of the championship Wednesday for section vii at Northeastern Clinton as the #1 Peru Nighthawks would take on the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets in a rematch of last year's title game that saw the Hornets get the win in the 12th round of the shootout almost a year ago to the date. The Nighthawks would come, and they were not looking for a repeat of last year as they scored in the first minute of the game on the Nolan Miner goal to make it a quick 1-0 lead. The Nighthawks would keep their foot on the gas and extend their lead to 2-0 on the Nick Petro goal. Then, in the final minute of the half, the Nighthawks would add another one, this time from Zach Benson, to make it a 3-0 game as the teams headed to the locker room. When the teams return for the second half, the Hornets come out trying to get on the board, but the Nighthawks' defense would be too much for them on this day, and the Nighthawks would get the 3-0 win. In the winning effort, the Nighthawks would stay perfect on the season at 14-0-1 and will enter the New York State Tournament and take on #9 Schalmont in the opening round. Plattsburgh's Nataliya Canada (8) with the dig on the return ball she gets to before the ball gets to the court. It would be the last regular season game for the Plattsburgh Hornets as they would host the Ausable Valley Patriots in Section VII Volleyball action from the Plattsburgh High School. Before the game, they would honor the six seniors on the team. As for the match, the Hornets could win straight sets (25-16, 26-24, and 25-9). In the first two sets of the game, the Patriots would be holding their own and even have the lead a few times and had a chance to win the second set. With the win, the Plattsburgh Hornets would put the bow on their perfect season and go 16-0 as they head into the playoffs. As for the Ausable Valley Patriots, they will fall to 5-1 on the season as they have their season finale Wednesday Night against the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. Gallery

Platsburgh's Ryan Colburn (13) had a catch over the middle for significant gain and was first down as the Hornets would get a 31-26 victory. It would be the final of the season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference, and the Plattsburgh Hornets would travel to Saranac Lake and take on the Red Storm in what might be the final game ever played at the Wilson Raymon field as they are supposed to have a brand new turf field at the high school next season. The Hornets would get the lone score of the first quarter from Danny Hartman on 21 21-yard run to give the Hornets the 7-0 lead. The Red Storm would return and get on the board on a 3-yard run by Zac Goetz, making it a 7-6 game. The Hornets would answer back with 1:07 left in the half on a 16-yard strike to Dominic Deangelo and take the 13-6 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the second half, the offense on both sides would pick up as the Hornets would strike first on the 12-yard run by Danny Hartman and take the 19-6 lead at the 3:54 mark. The Red Storm would come back down the field and make it a 19-13 game at the 6:14 mark of the third quarter. The offense would stay hot for the Hornets as they would make it a 25-13 game at the 9:57 mark of the third quarter when they would hit Ryan Coulburn on the 79-yard pass and catch, and that's how the quarter would end. Then, just 39 seconds into the 4th quarter, the Hornets would score again on the Bryan Kemokai run to make it a 31-13 game. The Red Storm would come back on the next drive and keep themself in the game on a 5-yard run by David Montroy to make it a 31-19 game with over seven minutes left. The Red Storm would keep coming, and with 1:54 left in the game, it would make it a 31-25 game as Zack Goetz would score on the keeper. From there, the Hornets would finish off the game and get the win as they go to 5-3 on the season. They will take on the Peru Nighthawks in the Section Class B Semi-Finals next Friday night. As for the Saranac Lake Red Storm, they would fall to 4-3 and will get a bye week as they take on the Saranac Spartans on November 9th to decide the Section VII Class C crown. Gallery

The Plattsburgh Hornets would celebrate as they would get the game-winning overtime for the 1-0 win. It would be the semi-finals of the Section VII Class A Girl's Soccer as the #2 Pittsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Peru Nighthawks, with the winner taking on the #1 Beekmantown Eagles on October 30t in the title game. This game would go back and forth all evening, with both teams having their chances to get on the board, but regulation would not be enough on this day, and overtime would needed. In the overtime, they would enter scoreless, go through the first ten minutes, and no one would score. So they would need double overtime on this evening, and in that overtime, Bailey Hewson would send the home crowd home happy as sh would sneak it under the crossbar for the goal. That would give the Hornets the 1-0 win, and they go to 13-3 in the season as they head into the title game against the Beekmantown Eagles. As for the Peru Nighhawks, their season will end at 5-10-1. Plattsburgh's Joel Avos (16) and Beemantown's (10) go after the ball at midfield as the Hornets would get the 1-0 win. It would be a semi-final action from the Plattsburgh High School as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Beekmantown Eagles in Section VII Class A Boy's Soccer action. The Hornets would waste little time in getting on the board as Joel Avos would score in the 15th minute of the game. That would end the scoring in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, both teams would give it everything they had, but the defense would be the game's name, and no one could find the back of the net. The Plattsburgh Hornets would get the 1-0 victory and go to 11-2-3 on the season and will face the undefeated Peru Nighthawks in the Section VII Class A Finals on October 30th. The Beekmantowmn Eagles are crowned the 2024 Section VII Class A champions in Girl's Soccer for the second straight year after their 5-0 victory against the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be championship Wednesday for Section VII, at least on the class A level from the Northeastern Clinton Soccer Field, and the first matchup of the night would see the #1 Beekmantown Eagles looking to repeat their title against the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets for the right to head to the New York State tournament. The Eagles would get the scoring in the 14th minute as they would take the 1-0 lead on the Grace McCasland goal. They would waste little time doubling their lead to 2-0 on the Carly Hafadorn goal. Then, to finish off an impressive 7-minute stretch, they would score again, this time from Payton Parliment, as she would score in the 21st minute to make it a 3-0, and that's where the scoring would stop in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay hot, and they would extend their lead to 4-0 in the 46th minute as Payton Parliment added her second goal of the night; in the 57th minute, the Eagles would put the finishing touches on the game as Olivia Hagadorn would find the back of the net and make it a 5-0 game. From there, the Eagle's defense would put the final touches on the game as they would only allow three shots on the net in the winning effort. Also, in the winning effort, Grace McCasland would have 1 goal and four assists on the night as she would get game MVP. We would SUNYAC Women's Soccer action from the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse Soccer complex as they would host the Potsdam State Bears and were looking for their first win at home this season. The Cardinals would get the match's opening goal in the tenth minute as Kelly Licata would score for her third goal of the season and the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals and Kelly Licata would strike again in the 25th minute as they would take the 2-0 lead. The Cardinals would stay hot and extend the lead to 3-0 in the 32nd second minute when Allison Brown would score her third of the season and give them the 3-0 lead, and that's how the half would end. Peru's Nick Petro (12) with the flick shot past the Northeastern Clinton defender as he would score to clinch the Nighthawks 3-1 victory. It would be the regular season final for both the Northeaster Clinton Cougars and the #7 Peru Nighthawks, and they would meet up at the Apple Bowl at Peru High School. The Nighthawks would look to avenge their only time of the season. The Nighthawks would control the game through the first half, but no one could find the niet, and it would be tied at zero. The game would stay there until the Cougars took the 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute on the Evias Carpenter goal. They would stay there till the 69th minute when the Nighthawks would break through and tie the game in the 69th minute on the Collin Powers goal. Then, three minutes later, in the 72nd minute, the Nighthawks would take the lead on the Nolan Miner goal at 2-1. Then, to finish off the 9-minute bridge, the Nighthawks would make it a 3-1 game in the 78th minute on the Nick Petro goal. The Nighthawks would get the win, finish off the undefeated regular season at 13-0-1, and go into the playoffs as the number 1 seed in the Section VII A bracket. Northern Adirondack's Kyle Reif (10) and Seton Catholic's (9) battle for the ball along the sidelines as the Bobcats would get the 4-0 win. It would be the Seton Catholic Knights' last home game and senior night as they would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in Section VII Boy's Soccer action. The Bobcats would waste little time and get the game's opening goal in the third minute from Kaleb Guay to give them the early 1-0 lead. Then, in the 22nd minute of the game, the Bobcats would stay on the gas and add another one, this time from Calvin Magoon, to make it 2-0 Bobcats, and that's how the first half would end for scoring. When the teams return for the second half, the Bobcats stay on the attack and add another goal in the 62nd minute as they extend their lead to 3-0 on the goal from Donovan Turner. Then, in the 72nd minute, the Bobcats would end the scoring on the Shane Gilmore goal as they would secure their 4-0 win. We would have a match-up inside the top of Girl's Soccer action for Section All, be it one team from Class A and the other from B inside Section VII, as the #20 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #16 Saranac Chiefs in their last game of the regular season. The home Hornets would get off to the early lead on the 6th-minute goal from Bailey Hewson to give them the early 1-0 lead. The Hornets would waste little time expanding their lead to 2-0 on Bailey Hewson's second goal of the game in the 18th minute, and that's how the scoring would end for the 1st half. Then, when the teams returned for the second half, the Hornets would take control of the game in the 48th minute when Amaya Abellard scored to take the 3-0 lead, and that's where the scoring would end. With the shot on net, Lake Placid's (9) would have one of the two Blue Bombers goals as they get the 2-0 lead. It would be senior day at Seton Catholic, where they would celebrate the first class of seniors to play on their new school field at halftime and host the Lake Placid Blue Bombers. The game would be tight through the first half as both teams would have their chances, but no one could put in the net for a score. When the teams returned for the second half, the Blue Bombers answered early with a goal in the 49th minute to give them the 1-0 lead. Then, in the game's closing minutes, the 76th to be exact, the Blue Bombers would add a second goal to secure the 2-0 win. Peru's Chris Williams (12) broke through the tackle for the big gain as the Nighthawks would get the 41-8 victory and go to 4-2 on the season. It would be week 7 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season, and the Peru Nighthawks would host the Ausable Valley Patriots on the Nighthawk's senior night. The Nighthawks would take the early lead in the game at 7-0 on the 4-yard rush by Chase Carpenter 2 minutes into the game. Then, to finish the quarter, the Nighthawks would add two rushing touchdowns to give them the 21-0 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Nighthawks continued their success and added a pair of touchdowns from Chase Carpenter and Jake Frechette, who took the 34-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Nighthawks would stay hot and expand their lead to 41-0 on the Owen Smith 1-yard run. Then, in the fourth quarter, the Patriots would break through and get on the board as they connected on a 74-yard pass to Lucas Dashnaw and got the two-point conversion to make it a 41-8 game, and that's where the scoring would end. Beekmantown's Shamus Bilbeau (1) goes around the defenders for the score as the Eagles would get the 55-16 victory. It would be a battle of the top two teams in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference during week #7 as the #25 Beekmantown Eagles would host the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Eagles would get off to a fast start just 2:12 into the game on a 34-yard run by Shamus Bilbeau to give the 7-0 lead. Then, three minutes later, the Eagles would strike again, this time on a Parker Broughton score from 14 yards out and take the 14-0 lead. Then, in the final minute of the quarter, Parker Broughton would score again, this time from 39 yards out, and take the 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Hornets would answer back 24 seconds into the second quarter on an 85-yard catch and run to Dominic Deangelo to make it a 20-8 game. However, the Eagles would answer right back 30 seconds later on a 50-yard pass and catch to Parker Broughton for his third score of the half as they made it a 28-8 game. Then, just over five minutes into the second quarter, Miguel Herrera was on the 1-yard score. The Eagles would end the scoring in the first half on a 30-yard pass to Patrick Hagadorn with seconds left to take the 41-8 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would pick up right where they left off as they would score just 2:15 into the quarter on a 13-yard run from Parker Broughton for his fourth score and make it a 48-8 game. Danny Hartman would be intercepted on the issuing Hornets drive, and Seth Beebee would bring it back for the score and make it a 55-8 game. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would get their second score of the game coming from George Dejesus to make it a 55-16 game, and that's where the game would end. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles would go to 6-1 on the season and finish off their season next weekend at Ausable Valley as they have clinched the regular season title. It would be Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Volleyball action from Plattsburgh High School as the Hornets would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in a late-season tilt. The Plattsburg Hornets would leave little to the contest as they would take the straight-set victory by the score of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-14 for the victory. With the victory, the Hornets would stay perfect on the season as they go to 12-0 and head into their next match next week at Beekmantown for a matchup between the top 2 teams in the league. Plattsburgh's Nate Baker (4) shot from a distance and scored. He would have one goal as the Hornets and Cougars would tie at 2. It would be Section VII Boy's Soccer action from the Plattsburgh High Athletic Complex as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars as the teams start to focus on the playoffs and a conference title. The home Hornets would waste little time getting the game's opening goal in the 9th minute from Nate Baker for the 1-0 lead. The Cougars would come fighting back and tie the game in the 17th minute on the Evais Carpenter goal to make it a 1-1 game. Then the Hornets would find a way to answer that and regain the 1-goal lead at 2-1 on the Nate Lambert goal. However, the Cougars would not let that lead stand as they would answer right back 2 minutes later in the 28th minute on the Kaze Carpenter goal to tie the game at 2. From there, the defenses and the goalkeepers would stand tall as there would be no more scoring through the regulation and the two overtimes, and the game would end in a 2-2 tie. The Hornets will go to 8-2-2 on the season as they head into their next game Friday at home against the Ausable Valley Patriots. Chazy's Pryce Parker (9) bends in the shot on the net as he would have a goal in the Chazy 9-1 victory. It would be a match-up inside Section VII Boy's Soccer action with a pair of mountain valley teams doing battle at Seton Catholic as the Knights would host the #5 Chazy Eagles, looking to stay undefeated on the season. The Eagles would waste little time getting the game's first goal at the 13-minute mark from Jacoby Weeden for the 1-0 lead. Then the Eagles would add another couple of goals from Landon Duprey, and the Eagles would take the 3-0 lead. The Eagles weren't down, though; in the 38th minute, they would extend the lead to 4-0 on a goal from Pryce Parker. Then, to finish out the half, they would get one more from Landon Duprey to finish off his hat trick and give the Eagles a 5-0 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay on the gas and add another goal in the 50th minute, this time from Jack Rovers, as they took the 6-0 lead. Then, in the 62nd minute, the Knights would get on the board to avoid the shutout on the goal by 2. In the 70th minute, the Eagles would stay on the take and get a goal from Hudson Ziel as they took the 7-1 lead and added one more late to secure the 8-1 victory. With the win, the Chazy Eagles improve their record to 11-1 on the season as they will take on the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Thursday. Plattsburgh's Braeden Calkins (12) had the game-winning touchdown with 12 seconds left for the 28-22 victory. It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Spartans as part of their homecoming weekend and their last home game of the regular season. The game would start slow, with no scoring in the first quarter. The Spartans would get the game's opening score 32 seconds into the second quarter on a River Poulin 9-yard run for the 6-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 9:14 mark of the quarter when the Hornets would block the Spartan's punt attempt, and it would roll out the back of the endzone for the Hornet's safety, making it a 6-2 game. Then, in the final 30 seconds of the half, the Hornets would take the lead on a 29-yard strike to Braeden Calkins and take the 8-6 lead to the locker room. The Spartans would not go quietly and retake the lead at 14-8 on a 1-yard run by River Poulin to take the lead 14-8 at the 2:11 mark. Then, at the 6:11 mark of the third quarter, the Spartans would extend their lead to 22-8 on the 2-yard run by Zack Lucia. In the closing minutes of the third, the Hornets would cut the lead in half on the Dominic Deangelo score to make it 22-16 game. The game would stay there till the 5:48 mark of the fourth when Dominic Deangelo would score again, this time on a 56-yard pass and catch to make it a 22-22 game coming down the stretch. Then, with 12 seconds left in the game, the Hornets would drive down, hit Braeden Calkins for the 2-yard pass, and get the 28-22 victory. It would be week #6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football season, and the Peru Nighthawks would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm from the Apple Bow. The Peru Nighthawks would get off to a quick start and have a 21-0 lead by the end of the first quarter on the Red Storm. The Nighthawks would keep the pedal down as they would get a 6-yard score from Landon Wilkins at the 3:15 mark and make it a 28-0 game. Then the Red Storm would get on the board with 1:53 left in the half on a 46-yard scoop and score of the Red Storm, making it a 28-7 game. Then, with 1- seconds left in the half, the Red Storm would score again on a 6-yard run to make it a 28-14 game as they head to the intermission. With under four minutes left in the third, the Nighthawks would extend the lead to 34-14 on a 1-yard run by Wyatt Bridges to make it 34-14. The game would stay there till the three-minute mark of the fourth when Carpenter would score on a 56-yard pass and catch it, making it a 41-14 game. Then, with 2:40 left in the game, Landon Wilkins would break off a big 73-yard run for the score and take the 48-14 victory, and from there, they would hold on for the win. We would have Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Soccer action as the #9 Peru Nighthawks would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm as they were looking to keep their undefeated season going. The Nighthawks would waste little time getting the lead as they would take the 1-0 lead just ten minutes into the game on the Declan Baker goal. Then, as time would expire on the opening half, the Nighthawks would extend their lead to 2-0 on the Zach Benson buzzer beater. The Nighthawks would come out of the locker room hot and extend their lead to 3-0 in the 43rd minute on the Collin Powers goal, and he would add two more in ten minutes to have a hat trick and give the Nighthawks a commanding 5-0 lead. Then, to end the game in the 65th minute, Alex Watts would score to give the Nighthawks the 6-0 lead and then hold on from there for the shutout victory and go to 11-0-1 on the season as they head into their next match on October 18th against the Beekmantown Eagles. Beekmantown's Shamus Bilbeau (1), with the stiff arm on the Moriah defender, breaks it down the sidelines for the score, and the Beekmantown Eagles get a 31-13 victory. It would be week #6 of the Champlain Vallery Athletic Conference Football season, and it would see the Moriah Vikings traveling up to Beekmantown and taking on the #25 Beekmantown Eagles as the Eagles would look to continue their winning ways. The Eagles would get the scoring going in the first quarter at the 8:14 mark on the 43-yard run by Parker Broughton to take the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 7:27 mark of the second quarter when the Vikings would strike for a 16-yard pass to Wyatt Whitman to tie the game at seven. The tie would be short-lived, though, as the Eagles would march down the field in 90 seconds and regain the lead at 14-7 on the 19-yard pass to Parker Broughton. Then, to close out the half, Patrick Hagadorn would hit a field goal to take the 17-7 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay hot as they extended the lead to 24-7 on Shamus Bilbeau's 28-yard run. The way through the quarter, Shamus Bilbeau would strike again, this time from 11 yards, as they took control of the game at 31-7. The game would stay there till the 4:33 mark of the fourth quarter when the Vikings would get another score, this time from Joe Pelkey from 8 yards to make it a 31-13 game, and that's where the game would end. With the win, the Beekmantown Eagles would go to 5-1 on the season as they will host the Plattsburgh Hornets in their home finale. It would be a battle inside the top 20 as the #18 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #13 Beekmantown Eagles inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls's Soccer action as both teams start to make that late-season push for the playoffs. The Eagles would start the scoring in the 7th minute of the game as Grace McCasland scored to make it 1-0. The game would stay there till the 30th minute when Grace McCasland would strike again and make it a 2-0 Eagles lead, and that's where the first-half scoring would end. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay on the attack and extend their lead to 3-0 in the 47th minute on the goal from Carly Hagadorn. The Hornets would get on the board in the 63rd minute on the goal from Bailey Hewson, and there would be a bit of history as she would get her 100th point in her career, making it a 3-1 game. From there, the Eagles' defense would take control of the game, and that's where the game would end. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home after an extended road trip and take on a SUNYAC foe like the #22 Oneonta State Red Dragons as they battle at the league's top. The teams would go back and forth throughout the first half of the game, with both teams having their chance to get the opening goal, but there would be no score in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals would break the ice in the 75th minute on Brian Coughlan's third goal to make it a 1-0 game. It wouldn't take long for the Cardinals to extend their lead to 2-0 on Modou Badjie's second goal of the season in the 78th minute. From there, the Cardinals would stand tall, hold on for the 2-0 win, and improve their record to 7-1-3, while the Oneonta State Red Dragons would fall to 7-2-3. Seton Catholic's (6) with the goal as the Knights extend the lead to 2-0 and get their second win of the season. There would be Section VII Boy's Soccer action from Seton Catholic as the Knights would host the Ausable Valley Patriots. The game would go back and forth throughout most of the first half until the Knights would get on the board first with their goal in the 35th minute to give them the 1-0 lead, and that's how the first half would end. Then, when the teams would return for the second half, it would stay the same back and forth, and the Knights would double up their lead at 2-0 on the 58th-minute goal. From there, the Knights would hold on as they get their second win of the season and go to 2-6. They will look to gain on that as they take on Boquet Valley on October 10th. Saranac Lake's (7) with the shot on net as she would have a hat trick on the afternoon as the Red Storm get the 5-1 victory. It would be Section VII girl's Soccer action from Seton Catholic as the Knights would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm on the pitch. The Red Storm would get the match's opening goal in the 31st minute from number 7 as they would take the 1-0 lead, and that's how the first half would end. When the teams returned for the second half, the Knights would answer in the 43rd minute to tie the game at one. The game would only stay tied briefly as the Red Storm would answer back in the 46th minute to retake the lead at 2-1 on the goal from 16. The Red Storm would keep their foot on the accelerator, adding three more goals down the stretch to give themselves the 5-1 win. The Red Storm would improve their record to 6-3-1 on the season as they will have their next game against Ticonderoga on October 9th. As for the Knights, they are still looking for their first win as they go to 0-9 on the season and will be back in action on October 9th as they will travel to Moriah for a game against the Vikings. Plattsburgh's Soumar Bachawaty (10) comes in on the break and beats the goalie for the goal as the Hornets take the 3-1 lead. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #9 undefeated Schroon Lake/Newcomb Wild Huskies in Section VII Boy's Soccer action from the Plattsburgh High Sports Complex. The Hornets would get the game's opening goal in the 12th minute from Nate Baker as the Hornets struck first for the 1-0 lead. The Wild Huskies would not go quietly, though, as they would keep coming and tie the game in the 24th minute on the Austin Hartwell to make it a 1-1 game. However, in the final minute of the first half, the Hornets would retake the lead on the Soumar Bachawatyscore, and that's how the first half would end. The Hornets would come out of the break trying to get that two-goal lead, and they would get it in the 52nd minute on the goal from Chase Laravia for the 3-1 lead, and that's where the game would end. With the win, the Hornets would go to 7-2-1 in the season and will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Beekmantown and take on the Eagles. As for the Wild Huskies, they will be right back tomorrow against the Keene Beavers as they suffer their first loss of the season and go to 9-1 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Parker Broughton (33) and Saranac Lake's Scottie Nicholas (10) go helmet to helmet as Broughton fights for the extra yards in the 28-12 victory. So it would be week 5 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season, and this time, we would go to Saranac Lake and Raymond Wilson Final, where the host #19 Saranac Lake Red Storm would host the #25 Beekmantown in a game of the undefeated Red Storm and 1 lose Eagles. The game would be tight throughout the first half. The Eagles would get the game's opening score on the Josh Sands 2-yard keeper at the 8:26 mark of the first quarter to take the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til the 4:25 mark of the second quarter when the Red Storm would get on the board with their quarterback keeper as Zack Goetz would score to make it a 7-6 game, and that's where the game would enter the half. When the teams returned for the second half, both teams were looking to break through in the matchup. The Eagles would answer that bell on the 29-yard run by Parker Broughton to take the 14-6 lead at the 4:54 mark of the quarter. The game would stay there till the 8:27 mark of the 4th quarter when the Eagles would extend their lead to 21-6 on the 16-yard pass to Patrick Hagadorn. The Red Storm would answer right back as they marched down the field, and Chris Martin would finish off on the 4-yard run to make it a 21-12 game. The Eagles would put the game out of reach with 1:16 left in the game when Shamus Bibeau would score from 9 yards out to open up the lead to 28-12, and that's where the game would finish. The Beekmantown Eagles go to 4-1 on the season with their win and will be back home next weekend against the Moriah Vikings. Peru's Seanan Edwards (5), with the bicycle kick between a pair of Hornet defenders just outside the 18-yard box to set the team up, the Nighthawks would get the 5-0 win. We would battle in class A inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #4 Peru Nighthawks in Boy's Soccer action. The Nighthawks would open up the scoring in the 17th minute on the goal from Zach Benson as Nighthawks would take the 1-0 lead. It wouldn't take long for the Nighthawks to extend their lead to 2-0 as Jordan Osborne would score in the 21st minute, and that's where the scoring would end for the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Hornets would come out buzzing, but they could not break through for a goal. The Nighthawks would take control of the game in the 60th minute on the Nolan Miner as the Nighthawks would secure the 3-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Nighthawks would stay undefeated as they go to 9-0-1 on the season and will be back in action on October 10th as they host the Saranac Spartans from the Apple Bowl. As for the Plattsburgh Hornets will fall to 6-2-1 with both their losses coming at the hands of the Nighthawks and will be back in action on Monday evening as they will host the Schroo Lake Wildcats. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Spartans in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Soccer from the Plattsburgh High Sports Complex. The Hornets would get the scoring going first with a goal in the 6th minute from number 6 for the 1-0 lead. Then, in the 23rd minute, the Hornets would extend their lead to 2-0 on another goal. The Spartans would keep fighting and answer back in the 34 minute on the Michael Strack goal to make it a 2-1 game, but the Hornets would answer right back in the same minute to regain the two-goal lead at 3-1. The Spartans would keep fighting throughout the second half, making it a one-goal game at 3-2 in the 63rd minute. Although the Hornets would be able to fend off the challenges by the Spartans and get the win and go to 7-1P-1 on the season while the Spartans fall to 5-2-1 on the season. Gallery

The Seton Catholic Knights would host the Crown Point Panthers on their new camps field as part of the Section VII Boy's Soccer season. The Knights would get a pair of goals in the first half, taking the 2-0 lead on the Panthers into the intermission. When the teams return for the second half, it will be more of the same as when the Knights stay hot and add another pair of goals. The Panthers of Crown Point would add a late goal to break the shutout, but the Knights would still get the 4-1 victory. With the win, the Knights go to 2-5 on the season, while the Panthers fall to 1-6. Gallery

It would be ChamplanValley Athletic Conference girls's Soccer action from the new Seton Catholic field. The Seton Catholic Knights would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The Bobcats would get on the board first just 4 minutes into the game on the goal from Rielyn Nutt for the early 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 29-minute mark when the Bobcats would expand their lead to 2-0 on the Mandy McKinney goal and that's where they would end the first half of play. When the teams returned for the second half the Bobcat would stay hot and get three goals in the first ten minutes of the half from Ava Moore and Rielyn Nutt as they would take a commanding 5-0 lead. That is where the game would stay till the Knights would break the shutout bid in the last minute of the game on the Julia Padd goal to make it a 5-1 final and win for the Bobcats as they go to 5-2-1 on the season and the Knights fall to 0-7, Gallery
