Section VII Class C Girl's Soccer Championship: #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels Vs. #1 Moriah Vikings November 2nd 2024
The Moriah Vikings celebrate as they get the game-winning goal in overtime against the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the Section vii Class C Girl's Soccer championship. The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. The regular 80th minutes would not be good today as they would head to overtime. In the 97th minute, the Vikings would finally get the first and only goal of the game from Alexis Mascarenas to secure their spot in the state tournament with their undefeated season at 17-0. The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. It would be the section VII Class D girls' Soccer championship from Beekmatown High School as the #1 Chazy Eagles would take on the #2 Boquet Valley Griffins with a birth in the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X, the following weekend. Both teams would have their chances throughout the afternoon, but neither could get a ball into the net. Both teams would have a chance to reach the winning goal. However, the game would lead to sudden death over time when deciding on a champion on this day. The Chazy Eagles would get the game-winning goal in the 87th minute from Brooke Stephens to give the 1-0 victory. The winning effort would give the 8-6-2 record as they enter the New York State tournament. As for the Boquet Valley Griffins, the season would end at 9-6-1. Gallery

It would be the section VII Class B Girl's Soccer championship from Suny Plattsburgh State Fied house, and it would feature the top two seeds with the #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the #1 Sarana Spartans for the right to enter the New York State Girls Soccer championship. Both teams would have their chances throughout the evening, but neither team would be able to score through regulation, and over time, neither team would be able to get the ball in the net. So the game would need to head to penalty kicks, and in the seventh round, we would get our winner as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars would get the win. And go to 6-8-2 on the season as they will play #2 Mechanicville in the opening round of the New York State Tournament. The Saranac Spartans' season will end on 7-6-3 the season. Gallery

Section VII Class A Girl's Soccer Championship: #2 Plattsburgh Hornets @ #1 Beekmantown Eagles October 30th 2024
Beekmanrown's Olivia Hagadorn (22) fends off Plattsburgh's Bailey Hewson (10) and fights through and gets the shot on net as they get the 5-0 win. It would be championship Wednesday for Section VII, at least on the class A level from the Northeastern Clinton Soccer Field, and the first matchup of the night would see the #1 Beekmantown Eagles looking to repeat their title against the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets for the right to head to the New York State tournament. The Eagles would get the scoring in the 14th minute as they would take the 1-0 lead on the Grace McCasland goal. They would waste little time doubling their lead to 2-0 on the Carly Hafadorn goal. Then, to finish off an impressive 7-minute stretch, they would score again, this time from Payton Parliment, as she would score in the 21st minute to make it a 3-0, and that's where the scoring would stop in the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay hot, and they would extend their lead to 4-0 in the 46th minute as Payton Parliment added her second goal of the night; in the 57th minute, the Eagles would put the finishing touches on the game as Olivia Hagadorn would find the back of the net and make it a 5-0 game. From there, the Eagle's defense would put the final touches on the game as they would only allow three shots on the net in the winning effort. Also, in the winning effort, Grace McCasland would have 1 goal and four assists on the night as she would get game MVP. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles will enter the New York State tournament with a 16-1 record and play Schalmont 16-0 in the opening round. #2 Plattsburgh Hornets Vs #1 Beekmantown Eagles October 30th 2024
The Beekmantowmn Eagles are crowned the 2024 Section VII Class A champions in Girl's Soccer for the second straight year after their 5-0 victory against the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be the semi-finals of the Section VII Class A Girl's Soccer as the #2 Pittsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Peru Nighthawks, with the winner taking on the #1 Beekmantown Eagles on October 30t in the title game. This game would go back and forth all evening, with both teams having their chances to get on the board, but regulation would not be enough on this day, and overtime would needed. In the overtime, they would enter scoreless, go through the first ten minutes, and no one would score. So they would need double overtime on this evening, and in that overtime, Bailey Hewson would send the home crowd home happy as sh would sneak it under the crossbar for the goal. That would give the Hornets the 1-0 win, and they go to 13-3 in the season as they head into the title game against the Beekmantown Eagles. As for the Peru Nighhawks, their season will end at 5-10-1.
