This would be the second night, also known as championship night, as they cash the 40 thousand payday and the points that go with it as they cash the World Championship and a spot in the world finals at the ATT stadium in Dallas, Texas, right? As they came into the second night of action, world number 1 John Crimber would have the lead by 1 point over Daniel Keeping and Austin Richardson, and there would be 15 that would make the 8 seconds in round 1. When they returned for the second night of action and the second round, the Cowboys kept up their great riding percentage, as half of them rode, with Joao Ricardo Viera getting the best ride at 88.25. Ten riders would be perfect through the first two rounds, with John Crimber leading the pack at 176.25 and getting the first pick in the championship round by a 1 point over Joao Ricardo Vera. Four riders would go a perfect three-for-three when they would go to the championship round in front of a sell-out crowd. It would be down to the last ride of the night, and John Crimber needed an 86-a-board Reality Check for the win, but he would go down at 5.5. With that, Julio Cesar Marques would get his first career win on tour with a score of 262 after he would ride Tulsa Time to score of 88.75 and, with the win, would move into 7th in the world as they head into New York City and Madison Square Gardens next weekend as they continue their quest for the world title. Clinton Community College Holiday Classic Girl's Basketball: Peru Nighthawks Vs Saranac Spartans December 27th 2024

Saranac's Layla Pellerin (1) with the scoop shot along the baseline as the Spartans get the 48-33 victory over the Nighthawks. It would be the final game on the opening day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic and would pit the Peru Nighthawks and Saranac Spartans in girls' basketball action. The Spartans would take control of the game early on and have the 17-7 lead after the opening quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would play a little more evenly as the Nighthawks would find their defense, and it would be a 9-8 quarter in favor of the Nighthawks, but the Spartans would have the 25-16 lead at the intermission. When the teams return for the third quarter, it will be another evenly contested eight minutes as the Spartans have a 12-9 quarter and take the 37-25 lead into the fourth. In that fourth quarter, it would be another win for the Spartans as they would have an 11-8 quarter and secure the 48-33 victory. In the winning effort for the Spartans, they will go to 6-1 on the season and take on the Beekmantown Eagles on the second day as they go for the title. As for the Peru Nighthawks, they will suffer their first loss of the season, falling to 6-1, and they will take on the undefeated Malone Huskies tomorrow at the Holiday Classic. Gallery

Clinton Community College Holiday Classic Boy's Basketball: Malone Huskies Vs Beekmantown Eagles December 27th 2024

Malone's Bradley Popure with the three from the wing, and he would later in the game hit the game-winner as the buzzer would go for the 60-59 win. It would be the annual return of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic. The day's opening game would see a matchup between the Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII and the Malone Huskies from Section X in a rematch from an earlier match this season. It would be a great start for the Malone Huskies as they roll out to a 15-4 lead after the first quarter with some great pressure defense. The teams would be more evenly matched in the second quarter as the Eagles would find their offense. It would be an 18-16 quarter for the Huskies, and they would take the 33-20 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, both offenses would stay hot, and it would be a 24-21 quarter for the Eagles, but the Huskies would hold onto the lead at 54-44 lead. When the fourth quarter would start, the Huskie offense would go to sleep as the Eagles would step up their defense, and they would have a 15-6 quarter. The game would come down to the buzzer when Bradley Popure hit the buzzer-beater to give the Huskies the 60-59 victory. In the winning effort, they will go to 4-3 on the season as they will play the Peru Nighthawks tomorrow for a chance to win the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic. Clinton Community College Holiday Classic Boy's Basketball: Peru Nighthawks Vs Saranac Spartans December 27th 2024

Saranac's Henry Napper (14) breaks ahead of the pack and lays it off the window for the score as the Spartans get the 61-44 victory. It would be the third game of the opening day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic as the Saranac Spartans and the Peru Nighthawks would look up, and the Nighthawks would be looking for their first win of the season. It would be a close game at the start, as both teams feel each other out. The Spartans would have a slim 13-9 lead after the first quarter. The game would remain close through the second quarter as the Spartans would win the quarter 16-12 and take the 29-21 lead into the break. When the teams would return for the second half, they would find their offense and take control of the game with a 20-6 quarter and have a convincing 49-27 lead as they would enter the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Spartans would empty the bench and let the rest get in the game, and the Nighthawks would win the quarter 14-6, but it would not be enough as the Saranac Spartans would get the 5-41 victory. In the winning effort, the Saranac Spartans would go to 2-3 on the season as they will take on the Beekmantown on the second day as they go for the title. Clinton Community College Holiday Classic Girl's Basketball: Malone Huskies Vs Beekmantown Eagles December 27th 2024

Malone's Raegan McArdle (11) takes flight as she lays it off the window for the score. It would be the second game of the 2024 edition of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, and it would be the first appearance of the girls; it would see the Malone Huskies from Section X taking on the Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII, and the Huskies would be looking to stay perfect on the early season. The Huskies would be off to the races as they would break into a 21-8 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Huskies would stay on the gas, expand their lead to 15-6, and take a 36--14 lead into the break. When the teams return for the second half, it will be more of the same as when the Huskies stay hot, have a 17-7 quarter, and take the 53-21 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would put the bench in there, and the Huskies would be unable to as they only have a bench of 2 players. The Huskies would win the fourth 17-4 and get a convincing 70-25 victory. In the winning effort, the Huskies would stay perfect in the early season, going to 5-0 and taking on the Peru Nighthawks tomorrow. Applebee's Winter Classic Day Consolation Game: Storm Hockey Vs Northeastern Clinton Cougars High School Boys Hockey December 20th, 2024

Northeastern Clinton's Josh Seymour (17) breaks in on net for the shot as Storm's Jack Pierce (2) breaks into the play. It would be day 2 of the Applebee's Winter Classic from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena, and it would see the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and Guilderland Stoem in the Consolation game. The game would start well for the Storm as they would get the opening goal at the 9:10 mark of the first period when Keegan McGovern would score to make it a 1-0 Storm game. The game would stay there until the 6:08 mark of the second period when the Storm would strike again from Klaidi Gjini to score to give them the 2-0 lead. Then, with just under three minutes left in the game, the Storm and Gjini would strike again as the Storm would secure the 3-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Storm would finish third in the tournament behind Devin Kelly's 23-save night as they went to 2-4 in the early season. As for the Northeastern Clinton Cougars, Greysn LaFountain would make 34 saves and drop to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

Applebee's Winter Classic Championship: #7 Rye Garnet Vs Beekmantown Eagles High School Boys Hockey December 21st, 2024

Beekmantown's Jack Bell (29) made the save on the close shot as the Garnets looked to expand their lead. It would be the championship of the 2024 edition of the Applebee's Winter Classic, featuring the #7 Rye Garnets and the Beekmantown Eagles from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Eagles would get on the board at the 9:27 mark of the first period when Edward Sweenor scored for the 1-0 lead. Then, at the 12:19 mark of the period, the Eagles would return and extend their lead to 2-0 on the Jackson Deyo goal and take the lead into the first intermission. In the second period, the Garnet would fight back with two goals and tie the game at 2. When the teams returned for the third period, the Garnets would come out on fire and explode for five goals to secure the 7-2 victory and claim the 2024 Applebee's Winter Classic. As for the Beekmantown Eagles, they will finish 2nd in the Winter Classic and go to 3-3 on the season as Jack Bell would make 29 saves on the afternoon and will return to action on January 6th as they take on the Plattsburgh Hornets in the annual Hannah's Hope game. Pro Bull Riders (PBR): Manchester Invitational Championship Night December 21st 2024

Claudio Montanha would stay on for the 8 seconds and get the ride of the weekend aboard Mike's Motive with 90.5, finish event number four, and move into the top ten in the world standings. It would be championship Saturday night on the PBR as the Unleash the Beast Tour would make their 5th stop of the 2025 season as they would return to the SNHU Arena, and there would be a sell-out crowd as they would be waiting to see who would be winning on this night. On the second night of the PBR, Manchester would start in favor of the Bulls as only three of the first half of the second round would make the 8 seconds. In the end, there would be 12 that would make the time for the round, and only six would be perfect after the second round, with the leader of the pack being Derek Kolbaba with a 175, and Kolbaba and Pacheco would win the round with 87.5. Then it would be onto the short go, where they would bring the top 12 after the first two rounds. In short, Aerekrek Alibaba would have the first pick in the draft, and he would take the last rough ride. In the short round, Claudio Montanha would get the first 90-point rid90-point weekend aboard Mike's Motitave to take the overall lead at 178. The lead would be short-lived, though, as Kaiden Loud would get on Buffalo Heifer and ride him for 88.75 and become the first rider of the weekend to cover all three pulls and take the lead into the clubhouse with a score of 260. Then it would be down to Derek Kolbaba and Red River, and he would, for the 90-point ride, get his first event win seasons and seven seasons and move to the number 4 spot in the battle for the World Title. The PBR will be right back in action next weekend as they head over to the state of New York for the 6th stop on tour as they roll into the state capital in Albany. Gallery.

Applebee's Winter Classic Day Semi-Finals: Storm Hockey @ Beekmantown Eagles High School Boys Hockey December 20th 2024

Beekmantown's Parker Broughton (11) with the shot from the circle on the net over the defender as the Eagles get the 9-3 win. It would be the opening game of the 2024 edition of the Applebee's Winter Classic from the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse, and it would feature the Guilderland Storm from Section II and Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII. The game would start great for the Eagles as they would light the lamp five times in the opening period from Jacoby Weeden, Mason Carter (twice), Evan Bruyere, and Pryce Parker. When the teams returned for the second period, it would be more of the same for the Eagles as they would add another three goals from Novak Jarus, Jackson Deyo, and Edward Sweenor for the 8-0 Eagles lead. In the third period, they would finish off their scoring on Novak Jarus's second of the night. The Storm would answer back their way with three goals in the period, but it would not be enough as the Eagles would get the 9-3 win and head to the finals against the Rye Garnet. Applebee's Winter Classic Day 1: Rye Garnet Vs Northeastern Clinton Cougars High School Boys Hockey December 20th, 2024

Rye's Bryan Thomas (9) with the shot from the slot on net as the Garenet would get the 13-0 victory. It would be the opening game of the Applebee's Winter Classic, and it would see the #7 Rye Garnets from Section 1 taking on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars from Section VII. This would be a day that the Garnets would be in control from the start as they would get three goals in the first period and take the 3-0 lead. When the teams return for the second period, the Garnets stay in control as they come out and score five more goals, taking the 8-0. When the teams returned for the third period, the Garnets would not release the gas. They would add another five goals to secure the 13-0 victory and take on the Beekmantown Eagles tomorrow in the championship game. Gallery
