It would be the second game of the 2024 edition of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, and it would be the first appearance of the girls; it would see the Malone Huskies from Section X taking on the Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII, and the Huskies would be looking to stay perfect on the early season. The Huskies would be off to the races as they would break into a 21-8 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Huskies would stay on the gas, expand their lead to 15-6, and take a 36--14 lead into the break. When the teams return for the second half, it will be more of the same as when the Huskies stay hot, have a 17-7 quarter, and take the 53-21 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would put the bench in there, and the Huskies would be unable to as they only have a bench of 2 players. The Huskies would win the fourth 17-4 and get a convincing 70-25 victory. In the winning effort, the Huskies would stay perfect in the early season, going to 5-0 and taking on the Peru Nighthawks tomorrow. As for the Beekmantown Eagles, they will fall to 3-2 on the season as they head into their game tomorrow against the Saranac Spartans. Gallery

Ogdensburg's Luca LaBella (25) fights his way through the tackles for the extra yards as he would have two scores as the Blue Devils get the 14-10 win. It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class B Football tournament, and it would feature the #16 Beekmantwn Eags from Section VII taking on the #22 Ogdensburg Blue Devils from Section X from the Plattsburgh High School with the winner getting a spot in the quarterfinals. It will host Section II, Glens Falls. The game would start as a defensive battle with both teams feeling each other out, and there would be no scoring in the opening quarter. The first score of the game would come in the opening minute of the second quarter when the Blue Devils got one board with a 7-yard run by Luca Labella for the 7-0 lead. However, the Eagles would answer right back on their next drive with an 8-yard quarterback keeper as Porter Hunter would score to tie the game up at seven, and that's where they would stay for intermission. The Eagles would take their first lead of the game at 10-7 on a 31-yard field goal from Patrick Hagadorn at the 8:42 mark of the third quarter. The game would stay there till the 3:03 mark of the fourth quarter when Luca LaBella would find the endzone for the second time of the night from 2 yards out for the 14-10 Blue Devils end. The Eagles would have their chance down the stretch to get their lead back, but their effort would come up short, and the Blue Devils would get the 14-10 win. In the winning effort, the Ogdensburg Blue Devils go to 9-1 on the second and will get Glenns Falls next weekend in the quarterfinals from Potdsdam. Beekmantown's Parker Broughton (33) stands up the Massena runner as he was taking it from the deep in the end zone and stopped before he could get going. It would be a nonsectional football action from the Beekmantown Sports Complex as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Massena Red Raiders in nonleague action. The scoring would start quickly for the Eagles as Shamus Bilbeau would score on a 23-yard run at the 3:30 mark of the first quarter to make it a 7-0 Eagles game. Then as time would expire in the first quarter Bilbeau would score again this time from 16 yards and make it 14-0 Eagles. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same as the Eagles would score twice on a 19-yard pass to Patrick Hagadorn in the back of the endzone along with a 5-yard run by Parker Broughton and they would take the 28-0 lead into the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half the Eagles would pick up right where they left off as they would hit a 19-yard field goal and a 6-yard pass to Patrick Hagadorn for his second score of the game the Eagles would expand their lead to 38-0 at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would add a pair of touchdowns from Blake Rock and George Ciolac as they would put the icing on a 52-0 win. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 2-1 on the season as they head into their big rival game next weekend against the Peru Nighthawks as the Massena Red Raiders fall to 0-3 on the season.
