It would be the first game of the second annual Section VII Champions Challenge, and it would feature a pair of top-15 teams in their own class, as the #7 Moriah Vikings would meet the #11 Schroon Lake Wildcats. The Vikings would come out on fire and jump out to a big lead, as they had a 20-3 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Wildcats would find their shot and go toe-to-toe with the Vikings, winning the quarter 13-12, but they would still trail 32-16 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Vikings came out with the better start, outscoring the Bears 13-8 and taking a 45-24 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Wildcats would do their best to get back in the game, but the deficit would just be too much as they would have an 18-12 quarter, but the Vikings would get a 57-42 victory. In the Vikings' winning effort, Emmy Nephew led the way with 19 points, as they improved to 17-3 on the season. As for the Schroon Lake Wildcats, Olivia Hartwell would also chip in with 19 points as they go to 16-6 on the season, and they both get ready for the New York State Playoffs. Gallery

It would be the second game of the Saturday portion of championship weekend for Section VII from Clinton Community College, Florence Gym, as the #1 Bolton Eagles would meet the #2 Schroon Lake Wildcats in a battle for their spot in the New York State Class D Tournament. Defense would be the name of the game through the first quarter, as the Wildcats would have the slim 7-6 lead. In the second quarter, it would stay tight, but the Wildcats would build on their lead with a 14-10 quarter and take a 21-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams came out for the third quarter, the Wildcats' offense was on fire, scoring 15-4 as they cruised to a 36-20 lead and headed to the fourth. With the big lead, the Wildcats would clinch down and play defense as they would have a 9-7 quarter to secure the 45-27 victory. In the winning effort, the Schroon Lake Wildcats punched their ticket behind Olivia Hartwell's 331-point game. The Chateaugay Bulldogs are crowned the 2025 Nothern Regional Class D Girls' Basketball champions with a 49-24 victory over the Schroon Lake Wildcats to advance to the final four. It would be regional finals day from the Clinton Community College with a ticket to the final four on the line, starting with the Class D Girls. It would see the #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs from Section X taking on the # 9 Schroon Lake Wildcats from Section VII. The game would start quickly, but it would be good for the visiting Bulldogs as they would jump out to an 11-lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would use their quick shooting to jump on, take control of the game with a 16-5 quarter, and take the 33-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Bulldogs would keep up their tight defense, have another good quarter at 10-5, and take the 43-21 lead into the final quarter. With the outcome of the game well out of doubt, the coaches would put the benches in for the fourth quarter, and the Bulldogs would win the low-scoring quarter at 6-3 as they would secure the 49-24 victory. In the winning effort for the Chateaugay Bulldogs, they will punch their ticket to the final four and get the winner of LaFragville and South Knighton at Hudson Valley Community College. In the win for the Bulldogs, Madison McComb and Irelynn Laplante each had 16 points as they went to 24-1 in the season. As for the Schroon Lake Wildcats' season, it would end at 14-8, while Olivia Hartwell would lead the team with 13 points. Gallery

The game would start very evenly matched with a 14-13 lead for the Schroon Lake Wildcats. When the second quarter rolled around, the Vikings took control of the game with a great showing on a 15-4 quarter and took the 28-18 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Wildcats would be able to get their game back again, but the Vikings' offense would stay hot as well, and the Vikings would win the quarter 16-14 and take the 44-32 lead into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter would be another tight one, as defense would be the name of the game. The Vikings would win the quarter 8-7 and secure the 52-39 win. In the winning effort for the Vikings, Emma Harrington would lead the way with a 30-point game as they go to 18-4 on the season as they head into their New York State Tournament game against the Lisbon Golden Knights. As for the Schroon Lake Wildcats, they would fall to 14-7 on the season as Olivia Hartwell would have 17 points on the night as they head into their New York State Tournament game against the Chateaugay Bulldogs with a berth in the final four on the line. North Warren's Semaj Cuyler (1) with the game-winning hoop that he lays off the window for the 57-56 Cougars win. It would be the last game of the day from Clinton Community College as part of Regional Final Saturday and it would be in Class D NYSPHSAA Boy's Basketball in front of another packed house as #6 North Warren Cougars (II) and the #11 Schroon Lake Wildcats (VII) for the right to go to Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls and would they save a great game for the end. The game would be tight through the first eight minutes of the game as the Wildcats would have the slim 13-12 lead/ In the second quarter the lead would change hands a couple of times but still would be tight as the Cougars would have a 15-11 quarter and take the slim 27-24 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be the same chorus different verse out there as the Cougars would have an 11-9 quarter and take a 38-33 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, both teams would come and shoot out of the gym and the scoreboard would be on fire with a 23-19 Schroon Lake quarter. The Wildcats would take the 1-point lead with ten seconds left on the Logan Bush free throw. Although the North Warren Cougars would drive right back down the court and Semaj Cuyler (1) would lay it off the window for the score and give the Cougars the 57-56 win and the berth in the final four. In the winning effort for the Cougars Wyatt Jennings would lead the way with 17 points as they go to 20-4 on the season. As for the Schroon Lake Wildcats Logan Bush would lead the game with 29 points as their season comes to end at 16-8. Gallery
