NYSPHSAA Northern Regional Class D Girl's Basketball Championship: #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #9 Schroon Lake Wildcats March 1st 2025

Chateaugay's Irelynn Laplante (12) takes flight on the breakaway score for two of her 16 points on the afternoon. It would be regional finals day from the Clinton Community College with a ticket to the final four on the line, starting with the Class D Girls. It would see the #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs from Section X taking on the # 9 Schroon Lake Wildcats from Section VII. The game would start quickly, but it would be good for the visiting Bulldogs as they would jump out to an 11-lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would use their quick shooting to jump on, take control of the game with a 16-5 quarter, and take the 33-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Bulldogs would keep up their tight defense, have another good quarter at 10-5, and take the 43-21 lead into the final quarter. With the outcome of the game well out of doubt, the coaches would put the benches in for the fourth quarter, and the Bulldogs would win the low-scoring quarter at 6-3 as they would secure the 49-24 victory. In the winning effort for the Chateaugay Bulldogs, they will punch their ticket to the final four and get the winner of LaFragville and South Knighton at Hudson Valley Community College. In the win for the Bulldogs, Madison McComb and Irelynn Laplante each had 16 points as they went to 24-1 in the season. As for the Schroon Lake Wildcats' season, it would end at 14-8, while Olivia Hartwell would lead the team with 13 points. Gallery

The Chateaugay Bulldogs are crowned the 2025 Nothern Regional Class D Girls' Basketball champions with a 49-24 victory over the Schroon Lake Wildcats to advance to the final four. Chateaugy's Jeffrey Stimpson (14) slides in and breaks up the attack by Peru's (20) outside the box. It would be a nonsectional boy's soccer game from the Peru High School Soccer Field as the Peru Nighthawks would host perennial class D-ranked Chayeaugay Bulldogs. The Nighthawks would get the opening goal of the game from Nick Petro to give them the early 1-0 lead. The Nighthawks would keep coming and get a second goal in the first half on a penalty kick from Seanan Edwards to give them the 2-0 lead in the 34th minute and that's where the first half would end. When the teams came back for the second half there would be no give in the Bulldogs and would keep up the physical play but in the 46th minute, the Nighthawks would extend the lead to 3-0 on Seanan Edwards's second goal of the game. The Nighthawks would keep their foot on the gas and would make it a 4-0 game in the 53rd minute on the Jordan Osborne goal. Then with five minutes left in the game, the Nighthawks would put the icing on the cake as Hayden Lozier would score to secure the 5-0 win. The Nighthawks would extend their perfect record to 5-0 as they will be back in action on September 18th against the Saranac Spartans. As for the Chateaugay Bulldogs, they will fall to 1-2 on the season and will look to get back to 500 in their next contest. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Basketball #10 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Potsdam Sandstoners January 14 2013

Chateaugay's Hannah Cook (11) shields herself from the defender and frees and find the open girl at the top of the key. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in non league action. The game would see the Bulldogs pretty much control the game until the whole game until the fourth quarter when the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense. The Bulldogs would have the slim 9-6 lead after the first quarter. The Bulldogs would keep up the tempo as they would have a 23-17 lead at the break as they would win the quarter 14-11. Then when the teams came back for the third quarter the Bulldogs would win the quarter 13-7 and take a 36-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense and force bulldogs into many turnovers and the Sandstoners would win the 17-11 but the Bulldogs would hold on to the 47-41 victory. In the winning effort Courtney Boyea and Mikalya Fleury would lead the way ten points each for the Bulldogs as the go to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Basketball #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Salmon River Shamrocks January 9 2013

Chateaugay's Courtney Boyea (15) scrambles foe the loose ball at the top of the arc and gets it before Salmon River's Abby Kelly (5) can get it. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Salmon River Shamrocks in section ten action. The game would get very physical at times as both teams would be on edge with the rivalry. The game would be tied at nine after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would win it by the slightest margin 12-10 and take a 21-19 lead into the break. As the teams would come out for the second half the Shamrocks would win the third quarter 16-12 and have the 35-33 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Shamrocks would pull away as they would win the quarter 17-9 and get the 52-43 victory. In the losing effort Courtney Boyea would lead the Bulldogs with 17 points as the Bulldogs fall to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Chad Slalter (23) with the tight defense on Madrid-Waddington's Colin O'Bryan (30) to stop the drive to the hoop. The Chateaugay Bulldogs host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in section ten action. The game would be a rematch of last years section ten class d championship game and it would deffenately live up to the billing. The game would get very phyiscail at times. When the first quarter would come to end they would be tied 7-7. In the second quarter the Bulldog defense would step as they would win the quarter 16-9 and take the 23-16 lead into the locker room. When the teams would return for the third quarter the intenity would remain and the Bulldogs would remain and the Bulldogs would get the quarter 14-9 and take the 37-25 into the fourt. In the fourth quarter the offenses would come alive and the Yellow Jackets would get it 22-19 but the Bulldogs would hold on for the 56-47 victory. In the the winning effort Devan Barnes would lead the way with fifteen points as the Bulldogs improve to 6-3 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boy's Basketball #11 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers February 4 2013

Chateaugay's Matt Swanston (11) wins the opening tip of the game with the tip forward to start the offense. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in Section X East Division action as part of Senior Night. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start as they would have a 21-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter they would outscore the Panthers 23-3 and take a 44-8 lead at intermission. In the second half it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would score the Panthers 17-3 and cruise to the 61-11 victory. In the winning effort Devin Barnes would lead the way with 10 points. Coach Mike mMartin would like to thank all the senoirs for the time and commitment to the program over the years. With the win the Bulldogs go to 13-4 on the season.Gallery

NYSPHSAA Girl's Basketball #12 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers February 4 2013

Chateaugay's Alexis Beach (10) with the pass to Courtney Boyea (15) as she crashes to the court. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in Section X East Division play on Senoir Night in Chateaugay. The Bulldogs would strom there way out in the first quarter to 21-4 lead. Then in the second quarter it would be much of the same as they would take a 34-7 lead into the break. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would cruise to a 51-12 victory. Leading the way for the Bulldogs Courtney Boyea would have 19 points. Coach Chris Reynolds would like to thank all of his senoirs for there time and service on the teams. With the win the Bulldogs would go to 14-2 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Baseball: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Regis Falls Saints May 14 2013

Chateaugay's Nick Ashline (6) with the fastball to the plate for the strikeout that looked like it was after the camera. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division doubleheader action. In the first game, the teams would each get three to have it tied at 3. The Bulldogs would get a single run in the fourth to make it 4-3 Bulldogs. Then in the fourth, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 6-3. In the fifth, the Saints would do there best to make a comeback it would fall short though as they would make it 6-5 Bulldogs take game one. In the second game, the Saints would get out to the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second inning, the Saints would get four while the Bulldogs would get one to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 5-3. Then in the fourth, the comeback would be complete as they would get four more to take the 7-5 lead. Then in the fifth, they would get three more while the Saints could just mustard one as the Bulldogs would get the 10-6 win. With the win, it would give the Bulldogs a sweep on the day and give them a 4-6 record on the season. Gallery
