Malone Huskies Vs Saranac Spartans January 3rd 2026
Malone's Blake Hanna (12) with the recieve lay in as he gets around Saranac's Carson Duffield (40) for the score. It would be the last game of the two-day Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, featuring the Saranac Spartans from Section VII and the Malone Huskies of Section X, in what has the potential to be the best game of the tournament, as both teams were coming off impressive wins on Tuesday. The game would go back and forth for the whole first half as the Huskies would hit a buzzer beater and send the game into the intermission at 32-31 Spartans When the teams return for the second half it would be more of the same out of the start but the Huskies would pull late with a 34-23 half and secure the 66-55 victory. In the winning effort, the Huskies would win the tournament and stay undefeated on the season. As for the Spartans, they would come up short and finish 500 on the season. Gallery
Clinton Community College Holiday Classic Girl's Basketball: Malone Huskies Vs Saranac Spartans January 3rd 2026

Malone's Sadie Varin (12) breaks in and lays it in off the window for the score as the Huskies fall short. It would be the start of the second day of the 6th annual Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, and it would begin with a matchup between Section X and Section VII, pitting the Malone Huskies against the Saranac Spartans. The game started well for the Huskies, who jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, though, the Spartans would start to find their shot, scoring 12 points and trailing by a slim 18-16 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Spartans kept their hot hand going, scoring 15 points and taking a 31-22 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies mounted a great comeback attempt and even had a chance to tie the game and force overtime in the final 2 seconds with a three-point attempt, but it came up short, and they would fall 44-41. In the winning effort for the Spartans M, Addison Graigner would lead the way with 13 points as they gowent-0 in the tournament. As for the Hus, Raegan McArddle would have me high, high 20 points, but they would finish the tournament 0-2 with competitive games. Gallery

It would be the battle of 12's from the top of the key as Saranac's Lily Brown (12) goes over Maloe Sadie Varin (12) for the score as the Spartans get the 44-41 victory. Malone Huskies Vs Beekmantown Eagles December 30th 2025
Malone's Ryan Hesseltine (2) drives to the basket and lays it off the window for the score, as he would have 18 points in the winning effort. It would be the final game of the opening night of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, featuring the Beekmantown Eagles and the Malone Huskies in Boys' Basketball action. It would be high-paced offense from both teams as the game got underway, and the Huskies would lead 3-13 after one. The Eagles would do a better job of keeping it close in the second quarter, but the Huskies would still win the quarter 17-12 and take the 40-25 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter, the Huskies started to pull away, outscoring the Cougars 20-8 to take a 60-33 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies would put the game away with a 17-11 quarter and secure the 77-44 victory. In the Huskies' effort, Ryan Heseltine led the way with 18 points. Malone's Brynn Leclair (3) comes flying down the lane to get a finger on the ball to block the shot of Grace LaMountain to keep the Huskies in the game. It would be the third game of the day from the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, and girls would be back on the court this time as the Plattsburgh Hornets would challenge the Malone Huskies. The game would be slow out of the gate, as defense would be the name of the game, as the Hornets would hold the slim 4-3 lead after the first eight minutes. In the second quarter, there would be a bit more offense, but defense would still be tough as the Hornets would have an 8-6 quarter and take the 12-9 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, they were re-grouped, and the offenses would be on display as the Huskies took the quarter 17-13 and the slim 26-25 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the game would come right down to the wire, and the Huskies couldn't get a rebound to have a chance down the stretch, as the Hornets would win the quarter 6-4 and secure the 31-30 victory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, Ava Weiss led the way with 11 points as the Hornets got back to 500 at 3-3 on the season. Malone Huskies Vs Plattsburgh Hornets December 22nd 2025
Malone's Ryan Hesseltine (2) takes flight and slams it home on the breakaway for the score as the Huskies get the 65-46 victory. We would have non-league action this day at Plattsburgh High School, as they would start their holiday break, and it would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and the visiting Malone Huskies. The game would start tight, as both teams looked for that spark to make a run, and we would be tied at 10 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, we would still be tight, as both teams were making their shots on this night, as the Hornets would have a 14-13 quarter and take the 24-23 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Huskies found another gear and stormed out to a 24-1 quarter, doubling their first-half total in one quarter, and took the 47-36 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, there would be no letup for the Huskies, as they led 18-10 and cruised to a 65-46 victory. In the winning effort, the Huskies would stay undefeated on the season, going to 5-0, while the Plattsburgh Hornefellall to 1-3 and will look to right the ship next week when they take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars on December 29th. NYSPHSAA Northern Regional Class D Girl's Basketball Championship: #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #9 Schroon Lake Wildcats March 1st 2025

Chateaugay's Irelynn Laplante (12) takes flight on the breakaway score for two of her 16 points on the afternoon. It would be regional finals day from the Clinton Community College with a ticket to the final four on the line, starting with the Class D Girls. It would see the #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs from Section X taking on the # 9 Schroon Lake Wildcats from Section VII. The game would start quickly, but it would be good for the visiting Bulldogs as they would jump out to an 11-lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would use their quick shooting to jump on, take control of the game with a 16-5 quarter, and take the 33-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Bulldogs would keep up their tight defense, have another good quarter at 10-5, and take the 43-21 lead into the final quarter. With the outcome of the game well out of doubt, the coaches would put the benches in for the fourth quarter, and the Bulldogs would win the low-scoring quarter at 6-3 as they would secure the 49-24 victory. In the winning effort for the Chateaugay Bulldogs, they will punch their ticket to the final four and get the winner of LaFragville and South Knighton at Hudson Valley Community College. In the win for the Bulldogs, Madison McComb and Irelynn Laplante each had 16 points as they went to 24-1 in the season. The Chateaugay Bulldogs are crowned the 2025 Nothern Regional Class D Girls' Basketball champions with a 49-24 victory over the Schroon Lake Wildcats to advance to the final four. It would be regional finals day from the Clinton Community College with a ticket to the final four on the line, starting with the Class D Girls. It would see the #6 Chateaugay Bulldogs from Section X taking on the # 9 Schroon Lake Wildcats from Section VII. The game would start quickly, but it would be good for the visiting Bulldogs as they would jump out to an 11-lead after the first quarter. NYSPHSAA Boy's Hockey: #3 Ogdensburg Blue Devils @ #10 Saranac Spartans January 25th, 2025

Saranac's Gabe Moore (3) with the snip from the slot to tie the game at one in the first period. It would be a rare regular-season meeting between a pair of top-ten-ranked teams in the state as the #10 Saranac Spartans would host the #3 and undefeated Ogdensburg Blue Devils from the American North Sports Center. The visiting #3 Blue Devils would waste little time getting the game's opening goal at the 3:45 mark of the first period when Tegan Frederick would light the lamp for the 1-0 lead. The Spartans would come firing back and tie the game at 7:17 of the period when Gabe Moore would snip the wrister to tie the game at one, which would be the only scoring of the period. The game would stay there till the 9:03 mark of the second period when Nate Irvine would find the back of the net and give the Blue Devils the 2-1 lead, and that's how the second period would end. Then, in the third period, the Blue Devils would extend their lead to 3-1 on Nate Irvine's second goal at 2:30. The Spartans returned 90 seconds later and made it a one-goal game again on the Ryan Campbell goal and made it 3-2. Although the one-goal game would be short-lived as just over a minute later, the Blue Devils would make it a two-goal game again when Rocco Testani would score and make it 4-2. From there, the Blue Devils' defense would finish off the Spartans and add an empty netter late in the game from Laughlin O'Donnell as they secured the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, the Blue Devils would stay perfect on the season at 13-0 as Ty Jacobs would make 26 saves on the afternoon, and they will be back in action Tuesday as they take on the St. Lawerence Larries. As for the Saranac Spartans, Shawn McLane would make 32 saves in a losing effort as they fall to 8-4-1 on the season and will take on the Plattsburgh Hornets Tuesday in the Aimee McLane Memorial game.
