Knights would win the quarter slightly with a 17-14 quarter and take the 32-23 lead into the intermission. In the fourth quarter, the Wild Huskies would stay hot out there as they would win the quarter 13-7, and we would be tied at 52. Both teams down the stretch would have their chance to hit the winner, but they would rim out. The game would head to overtime, but on this day, they would need a second one as both teams scored seven in the first one to send it to the second overtime tied at 59. In that second overtime, we would finally have a resolution as the Wild Huskies would win the quarter 5-2 and secure the 64-61 victory. Keene's Vann Morrelli (0) comes flying in from behind the play to get the block on Seton Catholic's Michael Mannix (11) as they would get the 60-56 victory. We would have Mountain Valley Athletic Conference action inside Section VII as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Keene Beavers in an early season tilt. The game would start quickly, with both teams going up and down the court, and the Knights would have a slight 15-12 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the high pace of both teams would continue as the Beavers would win the quarter 19-15 and take the slim 31-30 lead into the intermission. When the teams return for the second half, they will still have the high pass up and down the court, as the Beavers will have the 14-11 and get a slightly bigger lead at 45-41 after three quarters. In the quarter, the Knights would give everything they have to get back in the game and, a couple of times in the quarter, have the deficit within one; still, they would be unable to get over that hump in the quarter, and the teams would tie for the quarter at 15, but the Bevers would hold onto get the 60-56 victory. With the Keene Beavers going to 2-1 on the season as the Knights fall to 0-2, both teams will be back in action later in the week before the holiday break. Gallery
