It would be the opening round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Assocation Class C Boy's Basketball Tournament and it would feature the #25 Lisbon Golden Knights and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats from the Florrence Gym at Clinton Community College with the winner getting Section II. It would be tight game through the first quarter as the teams would feel each other out the Bobcats would have the slight 11-9 lead. In the second quarter the Bobcats would find there shot and they would start to pull away with a 19-9 quarter and take the 30-18 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Bobcats would still have there hot hand as they would have a 21-6 and take the 51-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter with the game pretty much all determined the Golden Knights would have a 18-13 but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would get the 64-42 victory. In the winning effort the Bobcats Luke Moore would lead the way with 19 points as they go to 16-8 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals. The Bolton Eagles are crowned the 2026 Section Champions Challenge winner with a 59-55 victory over. It would be the boys' edition of the 2026 Section VII Champions Challenge, and it would start with the Small Schools championship between the #2 Bolton Eagles and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The upset-minded Bobcats would come out charging with a 15-8 quarter to jump out on the Eagles. In the second quarter,, the Eagles would taketheir run-and-gunn offense and have a 17-14 quarte,r, but the Bobcats would still have the 29-25 lead at the intermission When the teams return for the third quarter, the Eagles would still be out running the Bobcats with a 17-12 quarter as the Eagles take the 37-34 lead. In the 4th quarter, both teams ran up and down the court, with the Bobcats leading 9-17, but the Eagles won 9-55. In the winning effort for the Bolton Eagles, Sam Foy would have 22 points as they stay undefeated at 22-0. It would be the last boys' championship to be settled on the weekend as the #1 Bolton Eagles would meet up with the #2 Wells Wildcats for the Section VII Class D Finals from the Clinton Community College Florence Gym. It would be the second game of the Saturday portion of championship weekend for Section VII from Clinton Community College, Florence Gym, as the #1 Bolton Eagles would meet the #2 Schroon Lake Wildcats in a battle for their spot in the New York State Class D Tournament. Defense would be the name of the game through the first quarter, as the Wildcats would have the slim 7-6 lead. In the second quarter, it would stay tight, but the Wildcats would build on their lead with a 14-10 quarter and take a 21-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams came out for the third quarter, the Wildcats' offense was on fire, scoring 15-4 as they cruised to a 36-20 lead and headed to the fourth. With the big lead, the Wildcats would clinch down and play defense as they would have a 9-7 quarter to secure the 45-27 victory. In the winning effort, the Schroon Lake Wildcats punched their ticket behind Olivia Hartwell's 331-point game. The game would start well for the Eagles, as they jumped out to a big lead after the first quarter, 23-9. In the second quarter, the Knights would do a better job of staying with the Eagles, as the Eagles led 16-12, giving them a 39-21 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Eagles would finish their shot again,n, and they would have a 19-10 quarter, taking the 58-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game was played very evenly, with the Knights leading 14-12, but the Eagles held on for a 70-45 victory. It would be the opening game of the Section VII Champions Challenge Boys' Basketball as the #4 Bolton Eagles from Class D would take the #17 Moriah Vikings from Class C at the Clinton Community College gym. The Vikings would surge to a big lead after the first quarter as they would have a 23-6 lead. In the second quarter, the Eagles offense would come to life, but the Vikings would stay hot as the Vikings would win the quarter 24-16 and take the 47-22 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the offense explosion on both sides continued, as the Eagles won the quarter at 15-14, but the Vikings still led at 61-37. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would do their best to get back in the game, but the deficit would be too much as they would win the quarter at 25-15, but the Vikings would hold on for the 76-62 victory. In the winning tournament for the Vikings, they would go to 1 on the season, as Cooper Allen went for 38 points, and Tandy headheaded their New York State Tournament game against the Lisbon Golden Knights. As for the Bolton Eagles would fall to 21-2 on the season as Jace Hubert would have 23 points as they head into their New York State Tournament game against Harrisville on March 11th. Gallery
