It would be the crosstown rivalry matchup as the Beekmantown Eagles would make the short 7-mile trek over to Plattsburgh High School and take on the Hornets in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Basketball action. The game would be tight through the first 8 minutes of the game with the Hornets having a slim 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the game would stay tight but the the Eagles would have a better quarter with a 17-12 quarter and take the 30-26 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Eagles would stay hot and be able to expand on their lead at 48-38 as they would have a 18-12 quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would just be too much for the Hornets on this night as they would have a 14-10 quarter and capture the 62-48 win. It would be a matchup inside the Champlain Valley athletic conference in section VII tonight from the Plattsburgh High School as the Plattsburgh Hornets would meet up with the Patriots from Ausable Valley on the hardwood in boys basketball. The Hornets would jump out to a fast pace on the start and have a 23-6 lead on the Patriots after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, the Patriots would have a better offensive output but the Hornets would still win the quarter 23-14 and take the 46-20 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be more of the same as the Hornets would have a 26-11 quarter and take the convincing 72-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter both teams would unload the benches and the Hornets would get the 10-5 quarter for the 82-36 victory. In the win for the Hornets, Max Filosca would lead the way with 12 points as they went to 8-3 on the season while the Patriots would fall to 2-11 on the season but Hayden Bombard would lead all scorers with 18 points on the night. However, in the second quarter, the Hornets would step up all around with the offense and defense as they would win the quarter 16-4 and take a 32-21 lead into the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Bobcats would find their game and the quarter would be a lot more even as the Hornets would win the quarter 21-18 and take the 53-39 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, it would be another even one as the Hornets would win it 16-13 to secure the 69-52 victory. It would be the third game of the second day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Tournament and it would see the Boquet Valley Griffins and Saranac Spartans who both got wins yesterday so this game would decide who was the best on the boy's side. It would pit a couple of teams that were evenly matched and the top of the field and would be tied at fourteen after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would still play tight but the Spartans would start to pull away with a 13-9 quarter and take a 27-23 lead into the intermission. In the third quarter, the Spartans would build on their slim lead with an offensive outpour as they would win the quarter 20-11 and take a 47-34 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Griffins would do their best to get back in the game with their best quarter of the day scoring 17 point surge but the Spartans would be able to match them at seventeen and the Spartans would get the 64-51 Spartans win and end Boquet Valley's perfect season. In the winning effort, the Spartans would go to 2-3 while the Griffins fell to 7-1 while Griffins Jackson Hooper would lead all scorers with a game-high 23 points. Gallery

It would be the second day of the Clinton Community College Holiday Classic and the opening game would see the Peru Nighthawks taking on the Seton Catholic Knights. The Nighthawks would start the game well and would be doubling up the Knights by the end of the first quarter with a 12-6 lead. In the second quarter, the Knights would keep up the fight and keep it close as the Nighthawks would win the quarter but only 12-8 and take a 24-14 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter the offense for the Nighthawks would step up and they would start to pull away with a 17-6 quarter take a 41-20 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Knights would do their best not to let the deficit get any worse as the Nighthawks would have a 14-12 quarter and secure the 55-32 win.
