It would be the opening round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Assocation Class C Boy's Basketball Tournament and it would feature the #25 Lisbon Golden Knights and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats from the Florrence Gym at Clinton Community College with the winner getting Section II. It would be tight game through the first quarter as the teams would feel each other out the Bobcats would have the slight 11-9 lead. In the second quarter the Bobcats would find there shot and they would start to pull away with a 19-9 quarter and take the 30-18 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Bobcats would still have there hot hand as they would have a 21-6 and take the 51-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter with the game pretty much all determined the Golden Knights would have a 18-13 but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would get the 64-42 victory. In the winning effort the Bobcats Luke Moore would lead the way with 19 points as they go to 16-8 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals. In the losing effort for the Golden Knights Ian Quinlan leads the way with 15 points as they finish there season at 14-7. Gallery

The Lisbon Golden Knights celebrate after defeating the Moriah Vikings 32-30 and advancing to the Quarterfinals on Saturday against Greenwich. It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class C Girls' Basketball Tournament. We would have a battle inside the top ten as the #8 Lisbon Golden Knights from Section X would do battle with the #10 Moriah Vikings from Section VII at the Florence Gym at Clinton Community, with the winner advancing to Section II in the Quarterfinals. It would be a defensive battle to start the game, as both teams looked to control the paint on defense. The Golden Knights would have a slim 10-8 lead after the first quarter. It would stay low-scoring through the second quarter as well, but the Vikings would win the quarter 7-6, and the Golden Knights would have the 16-15 lead at intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, it would remain a defensive battle, and the Golden Knights would have an 8-7 quarter and take the 24-22 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, both teams would have chances to win and advance, but they would tie the quarter at 8, and the Golden Knights would get the 32-30 victory and go to the Quarterfinals. In the Golden Knights' victory, they went to 18-5, with Allison Bell leading the way with 19 points, as they head to the quarterfinals against Greenwich. It would be the NYSPHSAA Boys' Hockey Division II North Regional final from the Ronald B Stafford Arena with 1400 fans in attendance as the #2 Malone Huskies from Section X would travel to take on the #11 Beekmantown Eagles from Section with the winner headed to the final four next weekend at the LeCeom Harbor Center in Buffalo for the championship weekend. The Eagles would get the opening goal of the game at the 13:49 mark of the first period, when Jackson Deyo would make it 1-0. Then just 59 seconds later, the Eagles would strike again, this time from Edward Sweenor, to make it a 2-0 Eagles lead at the end of the first period. The Huskies would have a quick answer in the second period, just 1:43 in on the Jonathan Scaef marker to make it a one-goal game at 2-1. The Eagles would have an answer, though, at the 12:32 mark of the period when Jackson Deyo would strike for his second goal of the game and regain the two-goal lead at 3-1, and that's how the period would end. In the third period, both teams would have their chances, but it would take until the 15:57 mark for Jake Kaska to score on the extra attacker, tying the game at 3-3 down the stretch. The Huskies would have their chances in the last minute to tie the game, but they couldn't find the back of the net to tie the game, and the Eagles would hold on for the 3-2 win. In the winning effort, Jack Bell would make 27 saves as they go to 15-6-2 on the season and head to the final four against Bryham Hill on March 14th. It would be the start of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Football playoffs, and we would see the Gouverneur Wildcats and the Saranac Spartans at Plattsburgh High School, with the winner playing Schuylerville next weekend in the quarterfinals. The teams would use the first quarter as a feeling-out time, as neither team would be able to score. Then at the 5:41 mark of the second quarter, the Spartans would strike on a 15-yard pass to Chace Scovil for the 8-0 Spartans lead. The Spartans would keep coming and extend their lead to 15-0 on a 41-yard run by Teegan Smith, and they would take the 15-0 lead into the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half, the Wildcats would get the game back within one score when Haden Stowell took it from 2 yards out. The game would stay there till there were 35 seconds left in the quarter when Chace Scovil would strike again, this time from 3 yards out, as the score would go to 22-6. Then at the 4:10 mark of the fourth quarter, Storm D'Ambro would score on the 17-yard pass strike and take the 29-6 lead and put the game out of reach. With that, the Spartans would get the win and go to 7-3 on the season, and will face the defending champion Schuylerville next in the quarterfinals. The Saranac Spartans are crowned the 2025 Section VII-X Super Bowl champions with a 29-6 win over the Gouvenour Wildcats. It would be the start of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Football playoffs, and we would see the Gouverneur Wildcats and the Saranac Spartans at Plattsburgh High School, with the winner playing Schuylerville next weekend in the quarterfinals. It would be the second game of the NYSPHSAA D2 Semi-finals and it would feature the top two ranked teams in the state as the #1 Salmon River Shamrocks would take on the #2 Skaneateles Lakers for the right to take on the Pelham Pelicans for a state title. It would be a battle between two evenly matched teams and the Lakers would get the opening goal of the game 8:52 into the first period from Henry Major for the 1-0 lead. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Shamrocks would answer right back ten seconds later on the goal by Dylan Johnson to tie the game one. The game would stay there till the 4:55 mark of the second period when the Shamrocks would score to take the 2-1 lead on the goal from Evan Collette. The Lakers would keep fighting and tie the game back up at two a little over three minutes later on a goal by Alex Whitlock. The game would stay there and throughout most of the third period. Although with 2:30 left in the game, the Lakers would take the 3-2 lead. Although the Shamrocks would not give up and they would have their chances in the closing minutes although the Lakers would hold on for the in and head to the finals against the Pelham Pelicans.
