It would be the opening round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Assocation Class C Boy's Basketball Tournament and it would feature the #25 Lisbon Golden Knights and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats from the Florrence Gym at Clinton Community College with the winner getting Section II. It would be tight game through the first quarter as the teams would feel each other out the Bobcats would have the slight 11-9 lead. In the second quarter the Bobcats would find there shot and they would start to pull away with a 19-9 quarter and take the 30-18 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Bobcats would still have there hot hand as they would have a 21-6 and take the 51-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter with the game pretty much all determined the Golden Knights would have a 18-13 but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would get the 64-42 victory. In the winning effort the Bobcats Luke Moore would lead the way with 19 points as they go to 16-8 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals. The Moriah Vikings are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class C Champions with a 55-45 victory over the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. It would be the next-to-last game of the weekend as the #1 Moriah Vikings would meet up with the #2 Northern Adirondack Bobcats for the Section VII Class C Championship from the Clinton Community College Florence Gym. Section VII Class C Girl's Basketball Championship: #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats March 5th 2023

Northeastern Clinton's Bailee Lafountain (10) charges down the lane for the hoop as Bobcats Isabella Gillmore (5) stays on the hip as she rises up. It would be the opening game of championship Sunday for Section VII Basketball and it would feature the top two seeds from Class C on the Girl's side as the #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The Cougars would get off to a quick start in the game and take a 14-3 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would get their shot going although it wouldn't be good enough as the Cougars would have a 13-10 quarter and take a 27-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cougars would stay hot and have a 14-9 quarter and take a 41-22 lead into the fourth. In that quarter the Cougars would fall back and use the clock to their advantage and have a 9-8 quarter for the 49-29 victory. #17 Northern Adirondack Bobcats @ Plattsburgh Hornets February 16th 2023
Northern Adirondack's Isabella Gilmore (5) with the block on the layup attempt by Bailey Hewson (10) as she drove the basket. It would be a matchup inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and the last home game for the Plattsburgh Hornets as they would take on the #17 Northern Adirondack Bobcats. It would be a low-scoring tight game through the first quarter as it would be tied at nine. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would start to find their shot and win the quarter 13-7 and have the halftime lead at 22-16. When the teams would return for the third quarter the game would take a 180 turn and the Hornets would win the quarter 17-11 and tie the game at 33 as they entered the 4th quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats would take control of the game again with a 16-9 quarter and get the 49-42 win. The game would start off slow as both teams were looking to find their shot as the Bobcats would have the 7-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the defenses would still be the game's name as the Knights would win the quarter with a 10-7 and take the slim 15-14 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the Bobcats would find the touch with the shot but the Knights would not have the luck as the Bobcats would win the quarter 13-4 and take the 27-19 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the Knights still had no luck with the basketball as the Bobcats would win the quarter 14-5 to get the 41-24 win. In the winning effort, the Bobcats would improve their record to 11-1 while the Knights would fall to 8-6 on the season. The first quarter would be very low scoring as there seemed like there was a lid on the basket as the Bobcats would have a low scoring 6-2 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would start to find a little easier as they would win the quarter 11-5 and take a 17-7 lead into the intermission. The break would do the Patriots will as they would come back with a good offense output and a 14-11 quarter but would trail in the game 25-21. In the fourth quarter, the Patriots would do their best to cut into the lead but the deficit from the second quarter would be too much as they would win the quarter 15-14 although the Bobcats would hold on for the 42-36 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C Girl's Tournament and will play Madrid-Waddington on March 9th at SUNY Canton as the Ausable Valley Patriots season come to end at 14-5.
