It would be the second game of the Saturday portion of championship weekend for Section VII from Clinton Community College, Florence Gym, as the #1 Bolton Eagles would meet the #2 Schroon Lake Wildcats in a battle for their spot in the New York State Class D Tournament. Defense would be the name of the game through the first quarter, as the Wildcats would have the slim 7-6 lead. In the second quarter, it would stay tight, but the Wildcats would build on their lead with a 14-10 quarter and take a 21-16 lead into the intermission. When the teams came out for the third quarter, the Wildcats' offense was on fire, scoring 15-4 as they cruised to a 36-20 lead and headed to the fourth. With the big lead, the Wildcats would clinch down and play defense as they would have a 9-7 quarter to secure the 45-27 victory. In the winning effort, the Schroon Lake Wildcats punched their ticket behind Olivia Hartwell's 331-point game. The Schroon Lake Wildcats are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class D champions with their 45-27 victory over the Bolton Eagles. The Seton Catholic Knights would host the Bolton Eagles in the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference from Seton Catholic in Girl's Basketball action. The game would get off to a good start for the Eagles, racing out to a 13-4 lead after the first quarter. It will be more of the same in the second quarter as they stay hot with a 13-2 quarter and take the 26-6 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, it would be a closer match as the Knights would find some offense, and the Eagles would win the quarter 8-6 and take the 34-12 lead into the 4th quarter. It would be another t, right quarter in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles would still be better with a 10-8 quarter as they secure the 44-20 victory. In the winning effort, the Bolton Eagles go to 9-1 on the season as they head into their game on Wednesday against Keene. As for the Seton Catholic Knights, they will fall to 5-4 on the season as they will be back in action Wednesday against Wilsboro Gallery

It would be a matchup inside the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference in Plattsburgh as the Bolton Jaguars would travel up to take on the Seton Catholic Knights in Girl's Basketball action. It would be a slow start out of the gate as the Seton Catholic Knights would hold just the 8-1 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the offense would start to heat out for the Knights as they would have a 10-4 quarter and take the 18-5 lead into the intermission. When the teams return for the third quarter, the defenses will stay on top, as the Knights will have an 8-4 quarter and take the 26-9 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, with it looking like the Knights would have the game in hand, the Jaguars would do their best to get back in the game with an 11-8 quarter, but the nights would hold on for the 34-20 victory. In the winning effort, the Seton Catholic Knights return to 500 on the season as they are now 9-9, while the Bolton Eagles suffer just their third loss and are 14-3.
