#25 Lisbon Golden Knights Vs Northern Adirondack Bobcats March 11th 2026
Northern Adirodack's Shane Gilmore (42) with the finger roll for the score as part of a 14 point effort in the 64-42 win over the Lisbon Golden Knights. It would be the opening round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Assocation Class C Boy's Basketball Tournament and it would feature the #25 Lisbon Golden Knights and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats from the Florrence Gym at Clinton Community College with the winner getting Section II. It would be tight game through the first quarter as the teams would feel each other out the Bobcats would have the slight 11-9 lead. In the second quarter the Bobcats would find there shot and they would start to pull away with a 19-9 quarter and take the 30-18 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Bobcats would still have there hot hand as they would have a 21-6 and take the 51-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter with the game pretty much all determined the Golden Knights would have a 18-13 but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would get the 64-42 victory. In the winning effort the Bobcats Luke Moore would lead the way with 19 points as they go to 16-8 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals. #18 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs Peru Nighhawks March 5th 2026
The Saranac Lake Red Storm would be crowned the 2026 Section VII Champions Challenge winner with the 67-32 victory over the Peru Nighthawks. It would be the fourth game of the 2026 Section VII Champions Challenge, featuring the Peru Nighthawks and the #18 Saranac Lake Red Storm as they go after the section big-school title. The Red Storm would come out surging, leading 16-2 after the first quarter. In the second quarter,, it would not be much better for the Nighthawk,s as the Red Storm has a 16-6 quarter and takesae 32-8 lead at intermissio When the teamsreturnedn for the third quarte,r the Nighthawks would findtheire sho,t but the Red Storm were still firin, and they would win the quarter 16-1, taking the 48-22 lead into the fourth. The teams would enter the fourth with the outcome pretty much known, but there would be no let-up in the Red Storm as they would have a 19-10 quarter and secure the 67-32 victory. In the winning effort, Red Storm, Cedar would lead the way with 23 points, as they would go to 20-4 on the season. #2 Bolton Eagles Vs Northern Adirondack Bobcats March 5th 2026
The Bolton Eagles are crowned the 2026 Section Champions Challenge winner with a 59-55 victory over. It would be the boys' edition of the 2026 Section VII Champions Challenge, and it would start with the Small Schools championship between the #2 Bolton Eagles and the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The upset-minded Bobcats would come out charging with a 15-8 quarter to jump out on the Eagles. In the second quarter,, the Eagles would taketheir run-and-gunn offense and have a 17-14 quarte,r, but the Bobcats would still have the 29-25 lead at the intermission When the teams return for the third quarter, the Eagles would still be out running the Bobcats with a 17-12 quarter as the Eagles take the 37-34 lead. In the 4th quarter, both teams ran up and down the court, with the Bobcats leading 9-17, but the Eagles won 9-55. In the winning effort for the Bolton Eagles, Sam Foy would have 22 points as they stay undefeated at 22-0. #1 Bolton Eagles Vs #2 Wells Wildcats February 28th 2026
The Bolton Eagles are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class D champions with a 60-49 victory over the Wells Wildcats. It would be the last boys' championship to be settled on the weekend as the #1 Bolton Eagles would meet up with the #2 Wells Wildcats for the Section VII Class D Finals from the Clinton Community College Florence Gym. The Eagles would fly out of the locker room to start the game, with a 17-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the tables would turn. The Saranac Lake Red Storm are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class B Champions with their 78-73 overtime victory. It would be the last game of the opening day of the Section VII Championship weekend as the #1 Saranac Spartans would meet up with the #2 Saranac Lake Red Storm for the Boys' Basketball Class C Championship. It would be a tight, high-scoringgame to get it started as the Red Storm would have ta19-17 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the game would stay close, but the Red Storm would extend their lead by 1 with a 13-12 quarter and take the 32-29 lead at intermission. #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Northern Adirondack Bobats February 27th 2026
The Northern Adirondack Bobcats are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class C Champions for the first time since 2015 with the 60-41 victory. It would be the second game of championship weekend at the Clinton Community College Florence Gym, as the #1 Moriah Vikings would be going for their seventh straight championship against the Northern Adirondack Bobcats, who were going for their first title since 2015. It would be a defensive battle to start the game, as the Bobcats would have a low-scoring lead at 6-4 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, both teams' offenses came alive, with Moriah winning the quarter 16-14 and the game tied at 20. #1 Peru Nighthawks Vs #2 Plattsburgh Hornets February 27th 2026
The Peru Nighthawks are crowned the 2026 Section VII Class A Champions with a 52-45 victory over the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be the first game of the championship weekend from the Florence Gym at Clinton Community College as the #1 Peru Nighthawks and the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would meet up for the Section VII Class A Championship. The upset-minded Hornets would start well, doubling up the Nighhawks in the first quarter with a 1- 4-7 quarter. In the second quarter, the Nighthawks would have answered, as they would take the quarter 18-6 and hold a 25-20 lead at the intermission. In the third quarter, the Hornets would answer back, scoring 15-9 and taking a 35-34 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Nighthawks would have the answer and put the finishing touches on the Hornets with aan18-7 quarter. In the winning effort for the Nighthawks, a trio would lead the way with 11 points: Eli Ledwith, Cogan St. Denis, and Mouhamadou Diatt, as they advance to the New York State Class A Tournament. #3 Beekmantown Eagles @ #2 Plattsburgh Hornets February 24th 2026
Plattsburgh's Ryan Colburn (23) with the three from the top of the key over the outstretched defender as the Hornets advance to finals with a 56-42 victory. It would be playoff time at Plattsburgh High School as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class A Semi-Finals, with the winner getting the right to play #1 Peru Nighthawks in the Class A Championship at Clinton Community College. It would be a tight defensive battle, and the Eagles would have a slim 12-11 lead after the first 8 minutes. In the second quarter, the Eagles would find their stroke and take charge, 14-8, and take a 26-19 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Hornets came out buzzing, went 12-5, and took a 33-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the offense would be hitting on all eight cylinders, as the Hornets would have a 25-11 quarter and cruise to a 56-42 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets go to 7-12 on the season as they head into the Section VII Class A Championship against the #1 Peru Night Hawks, as the Beekmantown Eagles' season would come to an end at 5-12. Seton Catholic's Matthew Dubay throws it off the window for the score in the 62-28 victory. It would be a matchup between the sections in Plattsburgh as the Seton Catholic Knights from Section VII would host the Chateaugay Bulldogs from Section X in the last week of the regular season. The Knights would get off to a quick start, leaving the Bulldogs behind with their 16-3 opening quarter. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same, as the Knights would have a 12-5 quarter and take a 28-8 lead into intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Bulldogs still didn't have an answer, as the Knights scored 20 points and took a 48-18 lead into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter, it would be the closest game of the night, but the Knights still secured the 62-28 victory. With the Knights winning, they would go to 10-6, and the Bulldogs would fall to 8-12.
