The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they crowned the 2012 Section X Class D Champions. The Chateaugay Bulldogs and the Edwards-Knox Cougars would meet for the Section X Class D Championship at SUNY Canton. The Bulldogs would get the straight-set victories over the Cougars by scores of 25-9, 25-11, and 25-12. The Bulldogs would get great team play from everyone in the victory. With the win, the Bulldogs move onto the New York State Regionals where they will play Section 2 representative Hartford at SUNY Canton on November 10. The Cardinals would get the scoring start the 16:04 mark of the first period on the Shannon Stewart goal. The Cardinals would score again at 17:44 mark on Andrea Ziemann goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals after the first period. Then in the second period Allison Era would get her first goal of the net at the 8:16 mark to make it 3-0 Cardinals. Then at the 13:26 mark Breanne Bennett would make it 4-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would end the second scoring at the 15:19 mark on Jenny Kistner goal to make it 5-0 after the 2nd period. In the third period the flood gates would open as the Cardinals would light the lamp five times Jenny Kistner for her second of the game, Jordan Coldwell for the second goal of the game, Teal Gove would score as well. To cap off the period though Allison Era would score twice for the hat trick on the day. The Cardinals would outshoot the Cougars by a count of 81-3. The game would remain scoreless until the 39th minute when Courtney Boyea would get the goal on the assist from Alexis Beach. The Bulldogs and Courtney Boyea would strike again in the 53rd minute to make it 2-0 Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would end the scoring on the Hayle Tower goal in the 74th minute. The Bulldogs would get the 3-0 win over the Colts to advance to the Section X Semi-Finals. In the win Makayla Fleury would stop four shots for the shutout.

That is where the score would remain throughout the rest of the regulation. The game would extra time to resolve it and that's were Bulldogs would get the game-winner from Chad Slater on a mad scramble in front of the net. The Bulldogs would make easier work of the Yellow Jackets and get the straight-set victory 25-10, 25-10, 25-8. Kylie Hanley would have a big hand in the win as at one point in the game she had thirteen straight service points. With the win the Bulldogs move into the Class D Championship November 6 against #2 Edwards-Knox at SUNY Canton for the right to go onto the state playoffs. Gallery

The Peru Indians football team poses for there team photo as they celebrate there Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class B Championship. The Peru Indians would host the Beekmantown Eagles in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Championships. The Peru Indians would not leave much doubt in the game as they would take a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Then in the 2nd quarter, they would score three more times to take a 41-0 lead in the break. In the second half, the Eagles would do the best they could to keep the Indians off the scoreboard and only give up one score to make it a 48-0 final. With the lose the Eagles season comes to an end at 6-3. With the win, the Indians improve to 8-1 on the season. They will be moving on to state play next week against the Malone Huskies in Massena. That is where the game would remain until the 6:49 mark of the 3rd period when Mark Grace would make it 2-1 in favor of the Cardinals. That is when the flood gates would open for the Cardinals as they would score four more times. Kevin Emmerling would make it 3-1 at the 8:38 mark. Mark Constantine would make it 4-1 at the 11:24 mark of the 3rd period. Then at 14:43 Brandon Beadow would make it 5-1 Cardinals. The scoring would stop at 16:10 mark of the third when Alex Jensen would get his second goal of the night for the 6-1 final. In the win John Leis would stop 21 off 22 shots.
