NYSPHSAA Boy's Hockey Beekmantown Eagles Vs Guilderland Dutchmen January 5 2013
Beekmantown's Nathan Foster side steps the outstretched stick and continues onto the net for the shot on goal. Foster would get two goals on the night. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Guilderland Dutchmen in non-league action. The Eagles would score twice in the first eight minutes of the game with the second goal coming from Cole Carter assist to Brandon Buksa and Nathan Foster. Then in the last two minutes of the period the Eagles would strike two more times on goals from Nathan Foster and Austin Bradish as the Eagles take a 4-0 lead after the first period. Guilderland score just 45 seconds into the period John Dombrowski to make 4-1. Then the Eagles would strike twice in seconds on goals from Austin Bradsish (2nd of the night) and Kyle Bisonette. Then just two minutes later Nathan Foster scores again for his second of the night to make it 7-1 Eagles. Then two minutes after that Ely Giroux scores to make it 8-1. Then in the ninth minute Kyle Bissonette scores his second of the night to make it 9-1. The Eagles would strike again in the tenth minute to make it 10-1 on Tanner Roser's goal. The last goal of the period would come in the last minute on Cameron Giroux to make it 11-1 after two periods. In the third period the Eagles would twice on goals on goals from Seth Holder and Brantley Marion. With the game would come to an end and the Eagles would get the 13-1 victory to improve to 6-2 on the season. In the winning effort Dustin Plummadore would stop 7 of 8 shots on net. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boy's Hockey #2 Malone Huskies Vs Saranac Chiefs January 2 2013
Saranac's Jeremy Barber (19) with the hard hit into the broads on Malone's Jacob Henning (10) going after the loose puck. The Malone Huskies would host the Saranac Chiefs in non-league action. Saranac would open up the scoring in first on Matt Macasland's goal assist to Kyle Erickson. The Huskies would tie it up on Kyle Head's goal 1-1. Saranac's Matt Macsland would give the Chiefs back the lead at 2-1 at the eight minute mark on his second of the night assist going to Kyle Erickson. The Chiefs would go up by 2 with 3 minutes left in the first on Nick Uilva's goal assist to Alex Sarazen. The Huskies would get it back within one in the last minute of the first on Tanner Studlacks goal assist to Cameron Daniels to make it 3-2 after the first. Then just three minutes into the second Studlack and Daniels would connext again to make it 3-3. Then in the ninth minute of the second period Chiefs would regain the lead on Jacob Lillehadel's goal with assist going to Kyle Erickson and Tristin Archambault. The Huskies would tie it up two minutes later on the Bailey Conklin goal with assist going to Kelsey Head and Tanner Studlack. to make it 4-4. Then with two minutes left in the 2nd period the Huskies would score two goals in 58 seconds by Kyler Head and Cameron Daniels to make it 6-4. Then with three minutes left in the third the Chiefs made the end interesting on Matt Macsaland third goal of the night to finish off the hat trick with assist going to Kyle Erickson and Jacob Lillehadl as the Huskies get the 6-5 win. Both goalies would still stop plenty of shots as Malone's Joey Brown stop 34 while Saranac's Zach LaReau stops 31. With the win the Malone Huskies go to 5-1-1 on the season and the Saranac Chiefs fall to 2-5-1. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boy's Hockey North Country Cup Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs Bativa Norte Dame Fighting Irish January 19 2013
Northeastern Clinton's Kastle Birch (77) with the crushing hit on the Bativa Norte Dame defender in the offensive zone. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would play the Bativa Norte Dame Fighting in the North Country Cup from the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. The lack of numbers due to injury and the game the night before would help matters. The Cougars would fall to the Fighting Irish by a score of 7-2. Getting the two goals for the cougars would be Ryan Marks and Alex Duffy will Reece Tucker would have two assists. With the lose the Cougars fall to 6-4 on the season. Gallery

The Saranac Chiefs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in a nonleague match at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Chiefs would take the 1-0 at the 4:45 mark of the first Kevin Fisher's goal. Then with just over a minute left in the first the Chiefs would extend the lead to 2-0 Jacob Lillendahl's goal. Then in the first minute of the second period the Lumberjacks would get on the board on Elliott Fletcher's goal to make it 2-1. That is where the game would stay til the 12:45 mark when Tupper Lake would tie it up on the power-play goal by Chase Bedore. Then just 20 seconds later the Chiefs would take the 3-2 lead with Kevin Fisher's second goal of the night. Then at the 6:06 mark of the third the Chiefs would make it 4-2 on Tristan Archambault's goal. Just over two minutes later the Lumberjacks would get back within one at 4-3 Elliott Fletcher's second goal. Then in the last minute of the game the Chiefs would put the game out of reach on Kevin Fisher's third of the night. The Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead on Ryan Waterbury's goal at the 5:01 mark. Then with under two minutes left in the period the Eagles would extend it to 2-0 Kyle Bisonette's goal. Then inside the final minute the Eagles would score again with Nathan Foster on the shorthand for the 3-0 lead after one. Then early on in the second period Nathan Foster would get his second goal of the night for the 4-0 lead. Then at the 13:33 mark of the second period the Eagles would take a 5-0 lead on Kyle Bissonette's goal. Then just 1:33 into the third period Nathan Foster would finish off the hat trick for the 6-0 lead. Then at 2:54 of the third period the Eagles would finish off the scoring assault to make it 7-0 on Kyle Bisonette's third of the night. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would travel over to Plattsburgh to take on the Hornets in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference on how action. The game would be an offensive show of force. The Cougars would get the first goal from Nick Ladue at the four-minute mark of the first. Then at 10:53 mark of the first the Cougars would extend the lead to 2-0 on Colby Boire's goal. Then in the final two minutes of the period the Cougars would make it 3-0 Nick Ladue's second goal of the night. The second period would be a carryover of the first when Mason Letourneau would score to make it 4-0. Finally at the 6:12 mark the Hornets would get on board thanks to Eric Bechard to make it 4-1. Then at the 10:03 mark John Fine Lease would score to make it 4-2 and now we have a game. Just over two minutes later it would be a one-goal game with Eric Bechard's second of the night. Then with 15 seconds left in the period the Hornets would tie it up at 4 on Jack Tolosky's goal. The Cougars would retake the lead at 5-4 on Andrew Arless's goal. Then just twenty seconds later Nick Ladue would add his third goal of the game to make it 6-4. Then in the closing minutes Ladue would add a fourth goal on the empty netter to secure the 7-4 win. Plattsburgh's Devin Clarke with the quick wrister on net. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Niskayuna Mohawks in nonleague action. The Mohawks would strike first with a goal at 2:30 of the first. Then at 5:55 the Hornets would tie the game up at one on Ryan Whalen's goal. The Mohawks would retake the lead at 7:01 on Josh Kim's at 2-1. Then at 10:33 Ryan Whalen would tie the game back up at two with his second of the night. Then in the last minute of the period the Hornets would take the 3-2 lead Eric Bechard's goal. When the teams came back for the second period the Hornets would take the 4-2 lead at 3:36 on Ryan Whalen's third goal of the day. Then just 14 seconds later the Hornets would make it 5-2 Gavin Giroux goal. The Hornets would make it 6-2 at 5:36 on the Wade Weeden goal. Then the Mohawks would get the last two of the period to make it 6-4 after two. Then just 36 seconds into the third period Kurtis Olsen would get into the act to make it 7-4. Then at 4:06 mark of period the Hornets Eric Bechard would get his third of the day to secure the 8-4 win, In the winning effort Dean Dashnaw would make 13 saves as the Hornets go to 2-1 on the season.
