Plattsburgh State's Camille Leonard (31) with the shoulder save that she sends over the crossbar. It would be a match up of top 10 teams as #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #9 Norwich Cadets in Non-league action that would be a rematch of last years national cchampionship. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Melissa Ames goal at the 4 minute mark of the first. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Julia Duquette's goal at the 10 minute mark of the first. The game would stay there til the 4:05 mark of the second period when Karen Hudson would extend it to 3-0. Then at the 7:30 mark Mackenize Millen would make it 4-0. Then in the closing minutes of the second Kayla Meneghin would make it 5-0. Then at the 5:58 mark of the third period Melissa Sheeran would put the icing on the cake to insure the 6-0 victory. In the winning effort Camille Leonard would make 25 saves in the shutout as the Cardinals go to 14-0 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Women's Hockey #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs William Smith Herons January 16th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Jordan Lipson (2) with the goal that she puts over the goalie's shoulder to extend the lead. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with the William Smith Herons in ECAC West Hockey action. It would be a game that the cardinals would be in control of from start to finish. As the Cardinals would have a 6-0 lead after the first period with goals from Courtney Moriarty, Jordan Lipson (2), Mellisa Ames (2), and Bridget Baisley. William Smith would add one in the second period to make it 6-1 headed to the third period. The Cardinals would add three more in the third period from Kayla Meneghin, Julie Duquette, and Melissa Sheeran for the 9-1 victory. NYSPHSAA Boy's Hockey Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs Malone Huskies January 15th 2016

Northeastern Clinton's Dayton Roberts (21) with the shot attempt in front of the net on the goal attempt. It would be a non-league affair between the Malone Huskies and the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. The Cougars would strike first at the 8:50 mark of the first period on Gonyo's goal. The game would stay there till 9:03 mark of the second when Gonyo would strike again this time on the power play to make it 2-0. The Cougars would extend the lead to 3-0 on Dupee's goal late in the second period. The Huskies would get on the board at the 51-second mark of the third period to make it 3-1 on the power play. Then at 5:10 mark of the period, Benware would strike again to make it a 3-2 game. The Huskies would fight the rest of the game but their efforts would come shortly as the Cougars get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort, the Cougars goalies would combine for 24 saves as the Cougars go to 6-6 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Women's Hockey #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #7 Middlebury Panthers January 12th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Giovanna Sense (20) rings the puck off the post on the shot she had beat the goalie on. It would be a non-conference affair between top ten teams as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #7 Middlebury Panthers. The game would remain scoreless until the first minute of the second period when Mellisa Sheeran would light the lamp to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at the eight-minute mark Kayla Meneghain. The game would stay there till the last minute of the game when Kayla Meneghain would get her second goal of the night on the empty net. As the Cardinals would secure the 3-0 victory. In the winning effort, Cammie Leonard would make 16 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals would go to 12-0 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Canton Kangaroos January 9th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Nick Belgner (24) with the shot he puts over the goalie's shoulder for the goal. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Canton Kangaroos in non-conference. The Cardinals would leave no stretch to the imagination that they were in control of the game scoring five times in the first period for a 5-0 lead. The goal scores in the period would be Nick Belanger (2), Luke Baleshetea, Ross Sloan and Brandon O'Quinn. In the second period, they would pick up where they left off as Brandon O'Quinn would get second of the night on a power-play goal to make it 6-0. Then the Kangaroos would finally get on the period with two-goal in a two-minute span in the second period to make it 6-2 at the end of the second period. Then a 1:20 into the third period Pat Egan would strike to extend the Cardinals lead to 7-2. Then in the closing minutes of the game, the Cardinals would strike with Luke Baleshetea's second goal of the night to finish off the game and give the Cardinals the 8-2 victory. NCAA Division III Men's Hockey W.B. Mason Winter Classic Semifinals #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Fitchburg State Falcons January 1 2016

The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Pat Egan's goal at 9:54 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Pat Egan would strike again to make it 2-0. Then to end the six-minute stretch in the first the Cardinals Cole Stallard would score to make it 3-0 Cardinals after the first period. In the second period, the Cardinals would continue there dominance scoring twice more from Cam Owens and Brandon O'Quinn to make it 5-0 after two periods. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the final touches on the game scoring twice more this time Luke Balesheta and Kyle Hall for the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would stop all 18 shots in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 9-1-1 on the season. With the win, the Cardinals play for the W.B. Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League Air it Out Vs Rand Hill Painters December 5th 2015

Air it Out's defender with the pass breakup in the endzone to save the touchdown. It would be week four of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football league and the match would feature Air It Out and Rand Hill Painters. It would be a close game throughout and Air it Out would take a 20-13 lead into the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same and the teams would tie at 20 for the half giving Air It Out the 40-33 victory. SUNYAC Men's Hockey #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #12 Potsdam State Bears November 21 2015

Plattsburgh State's Ross Sloan (26) with the hard check along the end boards as they battle for the puck. It would be a battle of North Country rivals with extra on the line as they both came in undefeated and ranked in the top 15. As #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #12 Potsdam State Bears. The Cardinals get the quick 1-0 leas as Nick Belger would score on the power play at 4:04 of the first. The Cardinals would extend it to 2-0 on Cole Stallard's power-play goal at 6:05. The in the last minute of the period the Cardinals would strike twice in seven seconds with goals from Dillan Fox and Kevin Emmerling to take a 4-0 lead after one. When the teams came out for the second period the Cardinals would score again at the 4:17 mark to make it 5-0 on Cole Stallard's second goal of the night. Then just over a minute, later the Bears would finally get on the board to make it 5-1 and that's where the game would stay until the third period. In the third period, the Cardinals would get two more goals to put the icing on the cake from Cole Stallard's (hat trick goal) and Ayrton Valente to secure the 7-1 victory. NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Clarkson Golden Knights November 17 2015

Plattsburgh's Xavier Thomas (0) with the fade away as he hangs in the air to avoid the contact. It would be the opening game of the season for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and they would take on North Country for Clarkson Golden Knights. The Cardinals would take there time getting going in the first half as the Golden Knights would work there a way to a ten-point lead in the first five minutes. Then the Cardinals would find their stride and work it to a ten-point lead at the break at 44-34. Then in the second half, the Cardinals would keep there game going and win the half 39-33 and cruise to the 83-67 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals start the season at 1-0 and Edward Correra would lead the way with 15 points. Gallery
