It would be time for the SUNYAC Men's Hockey Playoffs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #5 Potsdam State Bears with a win advancing you to the semi-finals. The upset-minded Bears would get the game's opening goal at the 6:33 mark of the first period, while Jack Loran would get the goal at the 6:33 mark of the first period. The Bears would keep coming and expand their lead to 2-0 at the 11:56 mark of the period when Jeremy Quensel would score. Then, with just over a minute left in the period, the Bears would expand their lead to 3-0 when Rocco Seery would score, and that's where the first period would end. In the second period, the Cardinals would finally get on the board at the 5:30 mark when Lonan Bulger would score on the power play and make it a 3-1 game. That's where the second period would end. The Cardinals could cut the deficit to 1 at 3-2 just 4:52 into the third period when Brody Spencer Ha would score. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the midway point of the first period on the Bennett Stockdale goal to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Beas would come back and tie the game with 4:45 left in the period on the Ryan Mahlmeister goal. The game would stay there until the 10:54 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on the Luk Jirousek goal. However, the Bears were not just going to roll over for the #1 team in the land as they would tie the game up at two on the Jack Loran second of the game. However, with just under 90 seconds left in the game, the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead on the Paul Bryer goal for the 3-2 and eventual win.
