The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they get the 5-3 come-from-behind victory in the SUNYAC Quarterfinals. It would be time for the SUNYAC Men's Hockey Playoffs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #5 Potsdam State Bears with a win advancing you to the semi-finals. The upset-minded Bears would get the game's opening goal at the 6:33 mark of the first period, while Jack Loran would get the goal at the 6:33 mark of the first period. The Bears would keep coming and expand their lead to 2-0 at the 11:56 mark of the period when Jeremy Quensel would score. Then, with just over a minute left in the period, the Bears would expand their lead to 3-0 when Rocco Seery would score, and that's where the first period would end. It would be the battle of the North Country from Memorial Hall as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in Men's Basketball action in front of 575 fans. The game would be tight through the first half as the Cardinals would have the 45-40 lead in a breakneck pace game after the first half. In the second half, it would come down to the last 10 seconds of the game as the Cardinals would come down and hit a layup from Ikechukwu Ezikea to give them the 75-74 lead. But then the Bears would take the inbound pass with three seconds left, and Nicholas Cortez would hit a three-pointer for the win past half court to beat the buzzer as the Bears got the 77-75 victory. In the winning effort, the Bears' Nicholas Cortez would lead the team with 27 points as they go to 3-14 on the season and head into their next game against the Morrisville State Mustangs. As for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals, Kareem Welch would lead the team with fourteen points as they fall to 9-8 on the season and head into their next game against the Cortland State Red Dragons.
