It would be the third game of the day in the 2026 Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, featuring the Boquet Valley Griffins and the Plattsburgh Hornets, as the Hornets would look to win both on the week. The game would get off to a great start for the Hornets, who ran out to a 25-3 lead before the break. In the second half, the Griffins would do their best to get back in the game, but their slow start would kill them, as the Hornets would get the 35-19 victory. In the winning effort, the Hotnets would go 2-0 but finish second to the Saranac Spartans on point difference. Saranac's Hannah Forgette (5) drivs the basket with the griffins defender in tow as they get the 57-35 win. After the opening day of the 6th annual Clinton Community College Holiday Classic was postponed due to weather, the Boquet Valley Griffins and the #16 Saranac Spartans would open the two-day tournament. The Spartans would get off to a quick start as they jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Griffins tried to get in the game, but the Spartans led 14-10 and took a 35-16 lead into the locker room. When the teams returned for the third quarter, it would be more of the same: the Griffins would keep it close with a 14-13 quarter, but would still enter the 4th down 48-30. In the fourth quarter, the Spartans finished them off with a 14-5 run and secured the 57-35 victory. In the winning effort, Madison Gonyea led the way for the Spartans with 18 points, as they improved to 5-2 on the season. For the Griffins, they would fall to 3-3 on the season. Gallery

Boquet Valley Griffins Vs #16 Saranac Spartans December 30th, 2025
Saranac's Madison Gonyea (10) wins the opening tip of the game, and she would drop 18 points as they get the 57-35 victory. Section VII Class D Girl's Soccer Championship: #2 Boquet Valley Griffins Vs. #1 Chazy Eagles November 1st 2024

Chazy's Brooke Stephens (20) with the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Chazy Eagles the 1-0 victory. It would be the section VII Class D girls' Soccer championship from Beekmatown High School as the #1 Chazy Eagles would take on the #2 Boquet Valley Griffins with a birth in the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X, the following weekend. Both teams would have their chances throughout the afternoon, but neither could get a ball into the net. Both teams would have a chance to reach the winning goal. However, the game would lead to sudden death over time when deciding on a champion on this day. The Chazy Eagles would get the game-winning goal in the 87th minute from Brooke Stephens to give the 1-0 victory. The winning effort would give the 8-6-2 record as they enter the New York State tournament. As for the Boquet Valley Griffins, the season would end at 9-6-1. Gallery

Then in the 25th minute, the Griffins would get one more from 7 to expand the lead to 3-0, where the first-half scoring would end. When the teams returned for the second half it would be more of the same for the Griffins as they would add another three goals two from 14 and number 10 would add his second of the game as the Griffins would get the 6-0 victory. #2 Northville Falcons (II) Vs. #13 Boquet Valley Griffins March 9th 2024
The Northville Falcons would be crowned the 2024 NYSPHSAA Class D Girl's Basketball Northern Regional champion with the 60-30 victory over the Boquet Valley Griffins. It would be the third game on the day at the Clinton Community College Forrence Gym on Regional Final Saturday in front of another packed crowd this time we would see the #2 Northville Falcons from Section II taking on the host #13 Boquet Valley Griffins from Section VII. The game would start well for the Northville Falcons as they got out to the quick lead on the Griffins they would double them up after the first quarter at 14-7. In the second quarter, the Falcons would show why they are the number 2 team in the state as they would take control of the game with a 22-7 quarter and take a 36-14 lead into the halftime break. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Griffins would do their best to stay with the Falcons but they would have no answer as the Falcons have a 12-10 quarter and take the 48-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter with the outcome of the game pretty much done with the Falcons would let up out there and still have a 12-6 quarter and secure the 60-30 victory to punch their ticket to the Hudson Valley Community College and NYSPHSAA Class D Final Four next weekend. In the winning effort for Northville Falcons, Hailey Monroe would lead the way with 29 points as they go to 20-3 on the season. It would be the third game on the day at the Clinton Community College Forrence Gym on Regional Final Saturday in front of another packed crowd this time we would see the #2 Northville Falcons from Section II taking on the host #13 Boquet Valley Griffins from Section VII. The game would start well for the Northville Falcons as they got out to the quick lead on the Griffins they would double them up after the first quarter at 14-7.
