The Cardinals would race out to a 3-0 lead ten minutes into the first period and then need to hold on for the 4-3 victory. The Plattsburgh Cardinals would get three first period goals from Ryan Craig, Kyle Taylor and Michael Cassidy. In the second period, Potsdam would get two goals in just over 30 seconds to make it 3-2 going to the third. Then in the third period, Potsdam would tie the game at 3 just 30 seconds into the period. The Cardinals would get the game-winner on Barry Roytmann's goals with minutes remaining. The east coast snocross returned for the 2nd day of the show and this time the racers were taking the aerial approach to the track.
