Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football #5 Plattsburgh Honeybadgers Vs #15 Cat Daddy December 13 2014

It would be week four of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League and the match up would pit the Plattsburgh Honeybadgers Vs Cat Daddy. The Honeybadgers would be rolling in the first half as they would have a 35-7 lead by the break. In the second half it would be more of an even contest but the Honeybadgers would still win the half 21-18 and cruise to the 56-25 victory. In the winning effort the Honeybadgers would get back to 2-2 while Cat Daddy would fall to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Hockey Malone Huskies Vs Norwood Norfolk Icemen December 12 2014

Malone's Johan Eksing (6) with the body check into the corner on the Norwoo-Norfolk defender as they go for the loose puck. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in a taking the 1-0 lead at the three minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there til 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29 the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory. In the losing effort Joe Brown would make 34 saves as the Huskies fall to 2-1 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Hockey #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Cortland State Red Dragons December 6 2014

Plattsburgh State's Spencer Finney (31) throws out the pad to make the pad save one of his 19 saves on the night. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe Cortland State Red Dragons. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead at 6:59 of the first period on Rich Botting's goal. Then about 90 seconds later the Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Connor Toomey's goal. Then to close out the period at the 16:59 mark the Cardinals would make it 3-0 on Michael Cassidy's goal. Then just seven seconds into the second period the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Kyle Hall's shorthanded goal. Then at the 2:19 mark of the second period, Patrick Hermans would make it 5-0. The game would stay there till the 1:38 mark of the third period when Luke Baleshta would make it 6-0. Then finally at the 16:46 mark of the period, Cortland State would get on the board with Nick Zappia's goal. Then in the closing seconds of the game, Alex Brenton would score for the Cardinals to secure the 7-1 win. SUNYAC Women's Basketball Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Oneonta Red Dragons December 6 2014

Plattsburgh State's Stephaine Linder (32) comes in along the baselines and lays in for two of her nine points. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oneonta State Red Dragons in SUNYAC. It would be a close game throughout the first half and the Cardinals would have the slim 25-21 lead at the break. In the second half, the offensive would come alive and win the half 37-29. With the Cardinals winning the second they would secure the 62-50 victory. In the winning effort, Brittany Marshall would lead the way with 16 points as the Cardinals go to 3-3 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Basketball Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Oneonta Red Dragons December 6 2014

Plattsburgh State's Xavier Thomas (15) goes up and around the defender for the basket as part of a fourteen-point night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oneonta State Red Dragons in SUNYAC conference play. It would be a hotly contested game through with neither team getting more than a five-point lead. The Red Dragons would have the slim 41-37 lead-in after the first. In the second half, the Cardinals would make up the difference winning the half 47-43 to force overtime tied at 84. In the overtime, the Red Dragons would hit a 2 pointer with 2.4 seconds left to win it 94-92. In the losing effort, Reggie Williams would lead the win with 24 points as the Cardinals fall to 5-2 on the season. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #8 Oswego State Lakers December 5 2014

Plattsburgh State's Aryton Valente (15) rides the defenders as he brings it into the net for the shoot. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host rival #8 Oswego State Lake in a battle of Top 10 teams in SUNYAC play. The Lakers would get the opening goal of the game at 12:41 of the first period from Chris Waterstreet to make it 1-0. The game would remain there till the 2:18 mark of the second period when the Lakers would extend there lead to 2-0 on Chris Raguseo's goal. Then the Cardinals would get on the board at 12:21 mark of the third period on Mark Constantine's goal to make it 2-1 to make it a game down the stretch. Then with under 5 minutes left in the game Lakers' Bobby Gretsakis would score on the power play to put the game away for the Lakers at 3-1. In the losing effort, Cardinal goaltenders would combine to make 34 saves on the night as the Cardinals fall to 8-2 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Girl's Basketball: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Northern Adirondack Bobcats December 3 2014

Chateaugay's Danielle Cook (23) draws the hard contact and goes to the line as charges to the basket. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet with the Colton-Pierpont Colts in Section X East Division action. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start and take the 16-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would trade basket and tie at 12 although they would have 28-17 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be a defense quarter with the Bulldogs winning it 9-5 to take a 37-22 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would win the quarter 11-3 and get the 48-25 victory. Leading the way for the Bulldogs would be Brianna Cook with 17 points as the Bulldogs go to 3-1 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Hockey Malone Huskies Vs Plattsburgh Hornets December 2 2014

Plattsburgh's Dean Dashnaw (30) with the chest save on the shot from Malone's Kyler Head (20) wrister. The Malone Huskies would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in nonleague action as there home opener. The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when the Huskies would make it 1-0 on Jordan Schrafs goal. The game would stay there till the 6-minute mark of the second period when Hornet's Devin Clarke would score to make it 1-1. The Huskies would regain the lead at 2-1 on Evan Keegan's goal at 12:59 of the second period. Then at 2:57 of the third period Huskies, Kyler Head would make it 3-1 with a shorthanded goal. Then at the 8:42 mark of the third, the Hornet's would do there best to get back in the game with a power-play goal by Andrew Bechard to make it 3-2. Although it wouldn't be enough and from there the Huskies would hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort, Malone's Joey Brown makes 28 saves and the Huskies go to 1-0 on the season. Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football Plattsburgh Pioneers Vs Plattsburgh Honeybadgers

Pioneers defender with the juggling catch for the interception. It would be week two of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League and it would pit the Plattsburgh Pioneers and Plattsburgh Honeybadgers. The Honeybadgers would bring there A-game tonight and the Pioneers would be on their heel from the start. The Honeybadgers would win the first half going away 35-7. In the second half, the Pioneers would do there best to make it a game but the Honeybadgers just had too much today winning the half 34-16 and getting the game 69-23. With the result of this game, both the Honeybadgers and Pioneers would go to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Cardinal/Panther Classic: #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #2 Elmira Soaring Eagles November 30 2014

Plattsburgh State's Camillie Leonard (31) with the pad save for one of her 30 saves on the night. It would be a battle of the top two teams in the nation for the Cardinal/Panther Classic Championship as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Elmira Soaring Eagles would do battle. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead with 4:12 left in the first period on Caitlin Gilligain's goal. Then at the 10:23 mark of the second period, the Eagles would tie the game up at one on Johanna Eidensten's goal. Then just 12 seconds into the third period Shannon Stewart would score on the powerplay to make it 2-1 Cardinals. Then just over three minutes, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Melissa Sheeran's goal. Then another three minutes later Cardinal's Mia Favretto would score to make it 4-1. The Soaring Eagles would add a late goal to make it 4-2 but it would not be enough as the Cardinals would get the 4-2 win and go to 8-0-2 on the season. Gallery
