The Plattsburgh Cardinals would meet up with the Middlebury Panthers in a non conference tilt at the field house. The game would start of go for the Cardinals as it would tied at three after the first quarter with goals from Justin Wise, Kevin Litchauer and Jake Carroll. Although the remainder of the game would be all Panthers as the Cardinals would get outscored 18-2 with the two goals from Zach Gill and Connor Wolff. Jessica Powers (52) tried to cut underneath Cedric Gauvereau (22c) and couldn't quite back it and takes the 22C around causing major damage to her own car. It would be the opener of the Super Dirtcar Series and they would return to the Can-Am Speedway for the first time in ten years. It would be the Thunder in the Thousand Island with 41 cars showing up for the Super Dirt Week Qualifier. Everyone's emotions were up for the season opener and it would be evident in the feature race as 31 cars would start and only 16 would finish do to multipile wrecks throughout the race cuasing major damage to many cars ending there night early. Although when the dust settled Matt Shepherd would be the winner of the 10 thousand dollars and the all important automatic qualifying spot for Dirtweek in October. Shepherd's major challenge on the day would come from Billy Dunn and Mat Williamson but they were only able to hang with him for a few laps off the restarts and then Sheppard would slowly just pull away. During the Thunder Stock feature event the 16 and 32 would get together in turn 4 sending the 32 around and into the muddy infield. Gallery

The game would not start good for the Hornets as they would be down 3-0 after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter they would be outscored 2-1 with the goal from Joshua Laravia and be down 5-1 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the game would only get worse as they would be outscored 8-0 and fall 13-1 to the Canton Golden Bears. In the lose the Hornets fall to 0-3 on the season and there next game is on the road against the Potsdam Sandstoners. Gallery

Adirondack's Desmond (37) with the check of the Railers offense man and knock him off the puck. The Adirondack Thunder would host the Worcester Railers in the season finale of the East Coast Hockey League. The Thunder would get the first goal of the game halfway through the first period on the goal by John Edwards. The game would stay there til the 2:35 of mark of the second when the Railers would tie the game at one and then eventually take the 2-1 lead at 7:25 of the period. The Thunder come right back and tie the game up a minute later and John Edwards gets his second goal of the game. The Railers would not give up and tie the game back up halfway through the period at 3-2 and take that into the third period. The Thunder would tie the game up at three just three minutes into the third period on the James Henry goal. Then just 90 seconds later Matt Salhany would score to give the Thunder the 4-3 lead. The lead would last til the last 90 seconds when the Railers would score with the extra man to force overtime. In the overtime it would not be the Thunders game as Railers would score two minutes in as the Thunder would fall 4-3 in overtime. In the losing effort the Thunder would lock up the second seed in the ECHL playoffs and host the Manchester Monarchs. Gallery

RJ Turner and War Wizard sends the truck into orbit over the jammer stack. It would be the annually Monster Spectacular from the Olympic Stadium in Montreal with 14 trucks in attendance Wadded Up, Bucking Bronco, Avenger, Brutus, Rage, Axe, War Wizard, Anger Management, Rat Nasty, Loud and Dirty, Overkill Evolution, Black Stallion, Backdraft, and Muddy Girl in front of nearly 30 thousand people. The night would start off with the two wheel skills contest and when it was all said down the winner was Overkill Evolution. Then it was on to racing with the 14 truck single elimination bracket and when it was brought down to finals it would be Overkill Evolution over Backdraft after Backdraft had upset Avenger in the Quarterfinals. Then it would be the ever popular freestyle and the top runs of the night would be War Wizard with the big air performance and Overkill Evolution with the all around lets just tear the truck down. When it was all said and done Overkill Evolution would get the win for the clean sweep on the night.Gallery

Plattsburgh's Joey Jamison (26) with the knee save on the low shot. The Plattsburgh Hornets would have there third game of the week as they would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in section x action. It would be a rough start for the Hornets as they would be down 5-0 after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would do there best to make it a game but would lose the quarter 6-4 and trail 11-4 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half the Hornets still had no answer for the Blue Devils as they would be outscored 9-1 in the half and lose the game 20-5. In the losing effort the Hornets would fall to 1-2. As they head into there game on April 10th against Canton. Gallery

The game would be tight for the first quarter with the teams trading goals and be tied at 1-1 scoring for the Hornets was Corbin Murray. In the second quarter the Hornets would start to pull away as they would score three times coming from Ethan Vaughn, Michael Graves and Hunter Laravia. In the second half it would be a very low scoring with the only goal coming from Plattsburgh's Michael Graves to secure the 5-1 win. In the winning effort Michael Graves scored twice as the Plattsburgh Hornets would win and get there first win in program history and go to 1-1 on the season. The Hornets return to action Thursday evening with a game against the Canton Golden Bears as they return to league action.Gallery

Plattsburgh's (11) fights through the check as he turns for goal. In there first ever game as a member of Section X the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Massena Red Raiders. It would be a very low scoring game. The Red Raiders would strike in the second quarter with 2 goals and take the 2-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half there would be no change as the Red Raiders would get one more to take the 3-0 lead in the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Red Raiders qould get another and take a 4-0 lead. Then in the final couple minutes of the game it would happen the Hornets would get there first goal as a section x member from Ethan Vaughan to make it a 4-1 goal. Although the Hornets would as they would add one more with 17 seconds left in the game from Corbyn Birch. Although it would not be enough as the Plattsburgh Hornets would fall 4-2 and start there season at 0-1. Although there will be little rest for the Hornets as they are right back it tomorrow with a game against the Milton (VT) Yellow Jackets. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the New England College Pilgrams in front of 150 fans in non conference action. The Cardinals would set the tone early in the game with four unanswered goals in the first quarter with two coming from Jack Carroll for the 4-0 lead. In the second quarter the Cardinals would extend there lead with a 4-1 quarter with two goals from Jack Mullen for the 8-1 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cardinals would outscore them 3-1 and have a 11-1 lead headed into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the Pilgrams would actual win the quarter 4-2 as the Cardinals had backed off the throttle and the Cardinals would hold on for the 13-5 victory. In the winning effort Jack Carroll and Jack Mullen would lead the way with the hat trick each as the Cardinals go to 3-4 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up there first season in the SINYAC conference with a game against #15 Cortland State Red Dragons ub front of 150 fans. It would be a rough one for the Cardinals as they would give up fourteen unanswered goals in the first half and trail 14-0 at the intermission. In the second half the Cardinals would get the first goal of the half from Emily Caoili. Although the joy would be short lived as the Red Dragons would get seven more unanswered and secure the Cardinals defeat at 21-1. In the losing effort Alexa Cassidy and Kaitlyn Boyea-Gynup would combine for ten saves as the Cardinals go to 1-6 on the season.Gallery
