Rye Garrant Vs Northeastern Clinton Cougars Applebees Winter Classic Semi-Finals December 18th 2021
Rye's Kevin Curran (5) comes in on the 2 on 1 break and tips it in past Northeastern Clinton's Peter Judkins for the goal. It would be the opening game of the return of the Applebee's Winter Classic and it would see the Rye Garnets and the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. It would be a great start for the Garnets as they would score four times in the opening period from Aidan Cunningham, Reece Dorfman, and Cal McLoughlin (twice). In the second period, the Garnets would stay hot and get another five goals from Lukas Elovaara, Cal McLoughlin (a third of the night), Henry Bagley (twice), and Kevin Curran while Reid LaValley would score for the Cougars to get them on the board and make it 9-1 after the second period. In the third period, the Garnets would stay hot as they would get another four goals from Liam Draddy, Foster Richardson, and Dempsey Brown (twice and get the 13-1 victory. In the winning effort, they go to 2-0 on the season with a matchup on December 19th against Beekmantown while the Northern Clinton Cougars go to 0-1-1 and play Storm next. Gallery.

Northeastern Clinton's Ethan Garrand (24) with the paddle save on a shot down line. It would be the consolation game of the Applebees' Beekmantown Winter Classic between the Rye Garnets and the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. It would be a matchup between a couple of evenly matched teams and there would be no scoring in the opening period. The Garnets would finally breakdown the wall at the 8:41 mark of the second period on the Cal McLoughlin goal to make it 1-0. The game would stay there until the six-minute mark of the third period when the Cougars would tie the game up at one the Lucas Bedard goal. It was starting to look like overtime until Rye's Carter Bradford would come in on a breakaway and beat the goalie with 34 seconds left to give the Rye the 2-1 victory. In the losing effort the Cougars fall to 1-2 on the season. Gallery

The Garnets would not take long to take control of the game as they would score twice in the first period for the 2-0 lead. In the second period they would add one more to extend there lead to 3-0. In the third period, the Rye offense would open up with three goals. The Eagles would give up some fight they would add a goal from Matthew Maggy. Although it would not be enough as the Eagles would fall to the Garnet 6-1 and fall to 1-3-1 on the season. Gallery

Northeastern Clinton's (25) and (19) with the tag hit along the boards on the Pelican. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the top team in the state the Pelham Pelicans as part of the Beekmantown Holiday Tournament. The teams would be equal throughout the first period as they would trade goals to and be tied at 1 after the first period. In the second period, the Pelicans would show why they are the number 1 team in the state as they would score four goals and extend there lead to 5-1. In the third period, they would continue and put the icing on the cake with two more goals. With that, the Cougars would fall to the Pelicans 7-1 and fall to 2-1 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Hockey Beekmantown Eagles Vs Kennmore East Bulldogs December 4 2016

Beekmantown's Kaden Kowalowski(18) fights through the check at center ice and gets the puck. It would be a non-league matchup where east meets west. As the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Kenmore East Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would strike first in the last two minutes of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second period, the Bulldogs would get two more goals to extend the lead to 3-0. In the third period, the teams would trade goals. Although it would not be enough as the Kenmore East Bulldogs would hold on for the 4-1 victory. In the losing effort, the Beekmantown Eagles fall to 0-1-1 on the season. Gallery
