The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be back in action with the second game of their fight cancer weekend, this time against another nonconference opponent, the Williams Ephs, at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena with over 1300 fans in attendance. The game would not start well for the home Cardinals as they would give up three first-period goals in six minutes from 6:53 to 12:59 when Connor Berg, David Vieten, and Mel Mortaerlli would score for the Ephs. The Cardinals would answer back with 2 two goals from Patrick Cole in 56 seconds, with one on the powerplay to make it a 3-2 game. Unfortunately, the Cardinal comeback would be cut short when the Ephs scored with 1:36 left in the period, thanks to Bobby Vorkey to make it a 4-2 game, and that's how the first period would end/ In the second period; the Cardinals would have the lone goal of the period from Vlad Pshenichnikov when he would score at the 11:39 mark of the period to make it a 4-3 game after two periods. In the third period, the Ephs would regain their two-goal lead at 7:01 when William Yee scored. The Cardinals could cut the lead back to one when Patrick Cole would score at the 12:36 mark of the period to make it a 5-4 game. The Cardinals would appear at the game at five in the closing minutes, but the goal would eventually be waived off on a delayed offsides call, and the Ephs would get the 5-4 victory. In the winning effort for the Ephs, Cal Sandquist would make 26 saves as they go to 6-7-1 on the season and head into their next game against the Colby Mules. As for the Cardinals, they will fall to 8-7-1 on the season as they head back to conference play on Wednesday against the Potsdam State Bears. Gallery

It would be a very evenly matched affair on a Saturday afternoon with both teams having their chances to take control of the game early. In the end, there would only be one goal scored on this Saturday afternoon with that going to Emily Kasprzak at the 5:22 mark of the second period. From there defense would be the name of the game with Lilla Nease making 31 saves for the shutout win as the Cardinals go to 19-2-1 on the season. The Cardinals will hit the road next weekend for a pair of games against Canton Kangaroos. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would have a single home game on the weekend as they would have Williams Ephs from NESCAC as a yearly non league match up come to the Ronald B Stafford ice Arena. It would be physical and evenly matched game throughout with both teams looking for the upper hand in the match. It would take all the way till there was 3:30 left in the second period before we would have are first goal on the night and it would come from Plattsburgh State's Bennett Stockdale to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. That is where the game would remain until the final minute of the game when Bennett Stockdale would seal the game away with the empty netter to give the Cardinals the 2-0 win in front of 1,100 fans. In the winning effort Eli Shiller would make 26 saves in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 11-4-2 on the season. The Cardinals will be back in action next weekend as they will head back into conference play as they will meet up with Oswego and Cortland. Gallery

It would be physical and evenly matched game throughout with both teams looking for the upper hand in the match. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #6 Williams Ephs in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Championshup. The Ephs would take the quick 1-0 lead nineteen seconds into the game. The game would remain there til the 3:08 mark of the second period when Cardinals Madison Walker would tie the game at one. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would take a 2-1 lead on Holly Schmelzer goal. The Ephs would tie the game at two with a powerplay goal with four minutes left in the second period. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 just a minute later on the Mackenzie Millen goal. The game would stay there til the eight minute mark of the third period when the Ephs would score and tie the game at three. Then the Cardinals would come back and take the lead back again at 4-3 on Nicole Unsworth goak at the twelve minute mark. The Cardinals would take a 2 goal lead at 5-3 45 seconds later on Mackenzie Millen second goal of the night to secure the 5-3 victory. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh State Cardinals return to the final four for the eighth year in a row and will face Adrian which they have split with on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Patrick Hermans (5) with one of his three goals on the night on the scramble at the net. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with #13 Williams Ephs in a nonconference battle between the top 15 teams at the Feild House. The Ephs would take the quick 1-0 lead on Craig Kitto's goal just 1:17 into the first period. Then the Ephs would extend the lead to 2-0 Dan Doherty's goal at 9:23 of the first period. Then at the 12:38 mark of the first period, Craig Kitto would get his second of the night to make it 3-0 Ephs after the first period. Then at the 3:42 mark of the second period, the Ephs would pick up where they left off and Craig Kitto would finish off the hat trick to make 4-0 Ephs. Then at the 7:11 mark of the second period, David Itlianio would make it 5-0 Ephs. Then finally at 14:32 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would get on the board with Patrick Hermans to make it 5-1 Ephs. Although before the period ended the Ephs would regain the five-goal lead at 6-1 on Greg Johnson's goal. In the final period, the Cardinals would try to make a game of it as Patrick Hermans would score twice to make it 6-3 and finish of the hat trick. As the Williams Ephs would get the 6-3 victory as the Cardinals fall to 12-4-2 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Sydney Aveson (33) with the blocker save that she sends to the corner as part of a 24 save night. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #10 Williams Ephs in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. The Williams Ephs would be looking for the upset as they would score just 1:15 into the first period on Gabrielle Vukasin goal to give the Ephs the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till there was 1:27 left in the first and Ali Vakos would tie the game up at one. The Cardinals would make some obvious adjustments as Ali Vakos would score just 28 seconds into the second for her second of the night and give the Cardinals the 2-1 lead. Then at the 12:11 mark of the second period, Ali Vakos would finish off the natural hat trick and give the Cardinals the 3-1 lead. Then just 31 seconds into the third period Ali Vakos would strike again and have a texas hat trick for the 4-1 lead and from there the Cardinals would hold on for the win. In the winning effort, Sydney Aveson would make 24 saves on the night and the Cardinals head to the final four next weekend where they will take on St. Thomas. Gallery
