Plattsburgh's Owen Chapple (30) with the pad save on Saranac's Zane Vaughn (21) on the night he would hit his 2,000th save. It would be the 3rd annual Amy McLane Memorial Scholarship game at the AC North Arena, and it would once again feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Saranac Spartans in front of a packed house. The Hornets would get the opening goal of the game at the 13:05 mark of the first period when Owen Dubay would light the lamp, and that's where the first period would end. The Spartans would answer at the 1:39 mark of the second period, when Brady McComber scored to tie the game at 1. The game would stay there till the 7:39 mark of the second period when Ben Bezio would give the Hornets the 2-1 lead. The Spartans would come back again and tie the game at 2 on the Deacon Giroux goal at the 13:26 mark. The game would not be rematched for Vong, as the Hornets regained the lead at 3-2 on Tames Bayer's goal, and that was where the period would end. Then at the 5:42 mark of the second period, the Hornets would take their first two-goal lead thanks to Ben Bezio at 4-2. The Spartans would answer back again at the 8:10 mark of the period when Gabe Moore would sink it by and make it a 4-3 game. The Hornets would answer back again and stretch their lead back to 2 at 5-3 when Sam Bezio scored. Then, in the closing time of the game, the Hornets would add the empty-netter for the 6-3 win. Saranac's Brady Macomber (4) scored the game-tying goal with just over a minute left, sending the game to overtime. It would be an interstate contest, as the Saranac Spartans would host the Middlebury Union Tigers from Vermont at the American North Arena as part of the state 2026 portion of their schedule. The Tigers would answer the bell just 38 seconds into the game on Evan Northrup's goal. The game would stay there for the rest of the period. The Tigers would extend their lead to 2-0 on Ethan Mulcahy's goal at the 1:22 mark of the second period. The Spartans would answer back at the 2:52 mark of the second period on the Gabe Moore goal. The Tigers would regain their two-goal lead just 13 seconds later on the Asa Root Pratt to make it 3-1. The Spartans kept coming, and at the 6:05 mark of the second period, Robbie Squier scored to make it a 3-2 game. The Tigers would once again retake the two-goal lead at 4-2 at the 8:12 mark of the period, when Asa Root Pratt would get his second goal of the game. In the third period, the Spartans would come out shooting and, once again, make it a one-goal game at 4-3 just 1:26 in on the Zane Vaughn goal. Then, at the 7:32 mark of the period, the Spartans would tie it for the first time in the afternoon on the Adrian Barnes goal. Aiddlebury would answer with 3:14 left in the game on the Tyler Munson goal. Although the Spartans wouldn't go quietly, they would once again tie the game at four on the Brady Macomber goal. The teams would head to overtime, and two minutes in, the Tigers would get the game-winner from Gabe Quesnel to secure the 5-4 win. In the winning effort, the Tigers would go to 5-3 on the season as TJ Baron made 39 saves. As for the Spartans, they combined for 18 saves, but fell to 1-6 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Edward Sweenor (56) with the tip near the net that he puts high over Northeastern Clinton's Greyson LaFountain (1) as they get the 4-2 victory. It would be the first game of 2026 for both the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the Beekmantown Eagles, and they would face off at the Plattsburgh State Field House in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The game would remain scoreless until the final two seconds of the opening period, when Sullivan Loughan would light the lamp and make it a 1-0 game. The game would stay there until the 8:26 mark of the second period, when Jacoby Weeden would score on the power play and make it 2-0 Eagles. The Cougars kept coming and cut the deficit in half at 2-1 on the Josh Seymour goal with 1:41 left in the period. The Eagles would come out flying in the third, and they would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on the Ivan Roy goal at the 3:44 mark of the third. The Cougars would come back and make it a one-goal game again at the 8:12 mark of the period on the Scott Wyre goal. The Eagles would have one more answer and make it a two-goal game again at 4-2 on the Edward Sweenor goal at the 13:28 mark of the third. From there, the Eagles' defense would stand tall and get the 4-2 win, and in the winning effort, Jack Bell would have 23 saves on the night and arecordhis 1,000th career save as they go to 3-4-1. Beekmantown's Mason Carter (12) with the hard hit on Max Niejadlik (9) thats sends him over the boards into the bench. It would be the championship of the 2025 edition of the Appleee's Winter Classic as the host Beekmantown Eagles would take on Section I powerhouse and #5 Rye Garent at the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse. The Garnet would get the opening goal of the game, but it would take till the 15-minute mark of the first period when Jamie Morris would score to make it 1-0 at the end of the first period. The Eagles would come out soaring in the second period and get the equalizer just 1:23 into the period on the Mason Carter goal. The Garnet would keep coming, though, and they would retake the one-goal lead on the Max Niejadlik goal at the 115-minute mark. When the third period opened, the Garnet made it 3-1 just 2:04 in on the Will Niejadlik goal. Then, seconds later, the Garnet would make it a 4-1 game on the Jamie Morris goal, and from there they would clamp down on defense and secure the 4-1 and the 2025 Applebee's Winter Classic championship. Northeastern Clinton's Alexander Bulriss (2) scored the breakaway goal to get the Cougars on the board in the first period. It would be the second day of the Applebee's Winter Classic, and the first game up in the afternoon would be the consolation game between the Storm Hockey and Northeastern Clinton Cougars as they go after third place. The game would start well for the Storm, as they scored three goals in the first nine minutes from Joe Kosier and Andrew Boldyrev. The Cougars answered back at the 14:11 mark of the period, when Alex Bulriss lit the lamp and made it 3-1 after the 1st period. In the second period, the Storm would have the lone goal of the period from Keegan McGovern at the 13:28 mark of the period to make it a 4-1 game. The Storm would come out in the third period and make it a-1 at 55 seconds in on Alexander Boldyrev's second goal of the game, and then, just about three minutes later, he would finish off the hat trick, making it w-1. Then, at the seven-minute mark of the period, the Cougars would strike twice from Cobe LaFountain and Josh Seymour, making it 5-3 with just under 10 minutes left in the game. Then, with just over a minute left in the game, the Storm put the game on ice, making it 6-3 on Nate Conner's goal, and got the win and third place on the weekend. Gallery
