It would be the last game of the regular season at the Terry Martin Arena on the campus of SUNY Canton, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos would battle for the fifth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC tournament in front of 300 fans. It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. The New York Dynamo would start the last weekend of the regular season in the United States Premiere Hockey League St. Lawrence Division with a game against Universel College Gatineau at the American North Arena. The Dynamo would get the opening goal of the game at the 14:19 mark of the first period, with Maddox Heise scoring for a 1-0 lead. They would extend their lead to 2-0 just 54 seconds later when Elkhan Abibekov would slide it through the Gatineau netminder. Gatineau would get on the board with 1:13 left in the first when Nicolas Barnes would beat Landon Blaine on the glove to end the first period 2-1 Dynamo. The Dynamo would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 when Tanner Hamilton gets it by a diving netminder at the 12:20 mark for the lone goal of the second period. Gatineau would strike quickly in the third period, just 36 seconds in, on the Hugo Berube goal to make it a one-goal game again at 3-2. The game would stay there until the 16:41 mark of the period, when Brock Spaulding would make it 4-2. Gatineau would keep coming and, for the third time on the night, make it a one-goal game with 1:07 left in the game on the Luca Godwin goal to make it 4-3. Skidmore's Tommy Atkens(29) with one of his 45 saves on the night in the 3-2 Skidmore win. It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they get the game-winner with just ten seconds left in overtime. It would be the second game of the Cardinals' weekend homestand with Western New York as they would take on the Fredonia State Blue Devils in front of nearly 1300 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would get off to a quick start, scoring just 21 seconds into the game, thanks to Gabriel Filion. The game would stay there all the way til the 8:51 mark of the second period when the Blue Devils would tie the game at one on the Mathieu Fournier goal. The Cardinals would answer right back two minutes later and regain the lead at 2-1 on the Colin Callahan goal. Then,n at the 16:14 mark of the second period, they would extend their lead to 3-1 when Shane Bondy would light the lamp. The Blue Devils would answer back just 43 seconds into the third period when Luke Morris would score to make it a 3-2 game. The Blue Devils would keep fighting and get the equalizer with just 33 seconds left in the game when Owen Cross would score to force overtime. However, the Cardinals would get the last one with just ten seconds left in the extra frame, when Quinn Tavares would send the fans home happy with the 4-3 win In the winning effort as Beau Lane would make 28 saves as they go to 12-10 on the season as they head into there final home game of the season against the Skidmore Mustangs. Plattsburgh State's Rilley Sutherland (28) with the quick wrister past Buffalo State's diving Marcus Cumberworth (35) as the Cardinals get the 3-0 victory. It would be a SUNYAC Men's Hockey regular season tilt from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena with 1500 fans in attendance as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals. The game would start well for the home Cardinals as Felix-Antoine Parenteau would get the opening goal of the game coming on the power play at the 14:38 mark of the first period. The Cardinals would waste little time in extending their lead to 2-0 as Patrick Cole would find the back of the net just 1:52 later, and that's how the first period would come to an end. There would be no scoring in the second period as both goalies would be up to the task. In the third period, the Cardinals would add a third goal in the closing minutes of the game with 4:12 left in the game when Riley Sutherland would score as they secured the 3-0 win. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 32 saves for the shutout as they go to 11-10 on the season. It would be the classic rivalry, renewing itself: Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Oswego State Lakers, with 14,500 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The home Cardinals would waste little time getting the opening goal of the game, just 54 seconds in, on the Alexandro Moliner goal for the 1-0 lead, and the stress ball was released. Releasedust 90 seconds later, the Cardinals would make it 2-0 on the Spencer Bellina goal, and the upset-minded Cardinals were cooking. Then at the 9:15 mark of the first, the Lakers would cut the deficit in half as Matt McQuade would score to make it 2-1. The game would stay there until 22 seconds into the second, when the Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on Quinn Tavares' goal. Then at the 7:22 mark, the Cardinals would extend ttheirlead to 4-1 when Felix-Antoine Parenteau would score The game would stay there till the last 7 minutes of the second period when the Lakers would go on a four goal blitz from Tommy Bannister (shorthanded goal), Connor Gatto, Josh Simpson, and Matt McQuade (powerplay goal) and take the 5-4 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals shaded their chances to tie the game but couldn't get the game-tying goal, and the Lakers held on for the 5-4 win. In the winning effort, the Lakers improved to 13-2-1 as Manzi and Milberg combined for 27 saves. Stafford Ice Arena in front of 1,250 fans for the first time as conference foe The game would not start well for the home Cardinals as the Statesmen would get three goals in the first period from Easton Ryan, Tanner Daniels, and Arvega Hovsepyan as they would trail 3-0 after one. In the second period, I wouldn't be much better as the Statesmen would get a couple more goals from Tamas Roth and Easton Ryan (second of the nig, making it a 5-0 game at the end of two. In the third period, the Statesmen would finish off the bashing of the Cardinals with another pair of goals from Dominic Schimizzi and Arvega Hovespyan (second of the game) as they would fall 7-0. In the winning effort for the Statesmen Damon Beaver would make 22 saves for the shutout as they stay undeefated at 17-0 as they head to there game against Skidmore, As for the Cardinals Spry and Lane would combine for 46 saves as they fall to 8-9 and will look to right the ship tomorrow night against time foe the #3 Oswego State Lakers. The game would start well for the home Dynamo, as they would get the opening goal from Ashtyn Catlin at the 3:01 mark of the period. The Knights would answer just 26 seconds later on the Alexandre Maniakhine goal to make it a 1-1 game. The Dynamo would have their own answer, retaking the lead at 2-1 on a Brock Spaulding goal, and that's how the first period would end, 2-1 Dynamo. The Knights would come back to tie the game at two on the Benoit Gagnon goal at the 3-07 mark. Then at the 10:49 mark of the period, he Knights wwould takethe 3-2 lead on the Raphael Lizotte ppower-play goal Then in the 13th minute of the period the Dynamo would get two goals in 38 seconds from Elkhan Abibekov and Tanner Hamilton as they retake the 4-3 lead, Then with just 1:26 left in the period the Knights would tie for the third time thanks to Noah St-Laurent and that's how the second ended. The Dynamo would not give up, though, as they came back again and tied the game at five on Colton Warren's goal at the 6:32 mark of the period. Then, with just 20 seconds left in regulation, the Dynamo would bang in the game-winner once again from Colton Warren for the 6-5 victory. In the winning effort, the Dynamo's Cade Kavanuagh made 42 saves as they improved to 13-19 on the season.
