The game would stay there till the 4:49 mark of the second when Riley Keller would score to increase the Cardinal lead to 2-0. The host Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take on the Mount Holyoke Lyons from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference in front of just over 400 fans. The Cardinals would get the game's opening goal with 49 seconds left in the opening period when Ciara Wall would find the back of the net for the 1-0 lead as they ended the first period. There was no scoring in the second period, but that doesn't mean that neither team had chances throughout the period. However, the score would remain 1-0 after the second period. The game would stay 1-0 until 23 seconds left when the Cardinals would contact on the empty netter from Tessa Morris to secure the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 20 saves in the shutout effort as they go to 19-6-4 on the season and will take on the Oswego State Lakers in the SUNYAC Finals next weekend.
