The Cardinals would extend their lead to 2-0 just 89 seconds later when Molly Riggi would light the lamp, and that's how the period would end. The game would stay there till there was 2:38 left in the first period when Shane Bondy would make it a 2-0 game on the powerplay goal, and that's where the first period would end.
