It would be another classic rival game as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the crosstown Beekmantown Eagles at the high school gymnasium. The Eagles would get off to a flying start and take a 19-10 advantage through the first quarter. In the second quarter, it would be a moe eventually match defensive quarter as the Eagles would win the quarter 9-8 and take a 28-18 lead into intermission. When the teams came back from the break the Eagles would be hammer down and expand the lead and start to but the game away with a 14-5 quarter and have a 42-23 lead into the final stanza. In the final stanza, the Hornets would do their best to stay with the Eagles but that's all they could do as they would win the quarter 11-10 but the win would go to the Eagles at 53-33. In a losing effort, Liam Perkins for the Hornets would lead all scorers with fifteen points. Next up for the Hornets would be a road tilt against Northeastern Clinton while the Eagles also will have their next game against Northeastern Clinton but not till Friday, March 12th. Gallery

Beekmantown's VanNatten goes up and under the defender and lays in the basket with the scoop. It would be another classic rival game as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the crosstown Beekmantown Eagles at the high school gymnasium. It would be the middle game of a three-game series between crosstown rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would strike first at the 3:19 mark of the first period on the Robert Tetreault goal. Then just over two minutes later the Eagles would light the lamp again and extend their lead to 2-0 on the powerplay goal from Dalton Kane. Then with just over four minutes left in the first period, the Eagles would strike again for their second powerplay goal this time from DJ Gonyo, and take the 3-0 lead into the first intermission. When the teams came back for the second period the Hornets wouldn't waste time in getting back in the game and making it a 3-1 game on the Jace Lacey goal. Then at the five-minute mark of the second period, the Eagles would extend their lead back to three on the Cooper Burdo 4 on 4 goals. That would be all the scoring throughout the game as there would be no scoring in the third period as the Eagles get the 4-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Eagles, Riley Hansen would make 25 saves as they go to 3-2 on the season while the Hornets fall to 1-4 on the season.Gallery.

It would be the start of the Upstate New York Girl's Hockey League season for both the Malone Huskies and the Plattsburgh Hornets from the Ameri-can North Rink in Plattsburgh, NY. The Hornets would get the opening goal of the game at just over a minute into the game from Madore to make it 1-0. Although the Huskies would shake off the rust and get back in the game and tie it up at 1-1 on the St. Mary goal. Then just over two minutes later the Hornets would regain the one-goal lead on the Boule goal and hold the lead to the end of the period. Then halfway through the second period, the Hornets would extend their lead to two goals at 3-1 on the Giroux goal. Then just 16 seconds later the Hornets would extend it to 4-1 on Boule's second goal of the night. It would be the classic section vii rivalry as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Nighthawks in Boy's Basketball action. It would be a game that you could tell was an early-season tilt as the offense would have some miscues and the Hornets would have a low scoring 12-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the scoring would even be less as the defenses would step up as the Nighthawks would win the quarter at 5-4 but the Hornets would still have the lead at 16-10 at the half. When the teams would come back for the third quarter it would be tight with some extra scoring as the Hornets would win the quarter at 10-9 and extend their lead to 26-19. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would get hot and pull away with an 18-9 quarter and secure the 44-27 victory. In the winning effort, Carter King would lead the way with 14 points and will be back in action Wednesday against Northeastern while Peru will be at home against Northern Adirondack. Gallery.

Northeastern Clinton's Sam Bouldson (19) crashes the net for the goal on the rebound. It would be the third meeting of the week between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and Plattsburgh Hornets this time at Ameri-can North Arena and the Hornets would be looking to get a win in the series. It would not start off very good for the Hornets as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars Sam Boulton just 14 seconds into the game to make it 1-0. Then the Cougars would strike again at the 4:50 mark of the first period on Sam Boulton's second goal of the game and take a 2-0 lead. Then just two minutes later at the 6:47 mark, the Cougars would score again to make it 3-0 on the Lucas Beard goal and that's where the first period would end. When the teams came back for the second period the Hornets would get on the board at the 1:40 mark on the Bostyn Duquette goal to make it 3-1. Then in the final 2 minutes of the second period, the Cougars would regain their three-goal lead at 4-1 on the Ryan Racine goal. In the third period, the Hornets would give themself hope as Jace Lacey would score at the 5:17 mark to make it a 4-2 game. Although just over two minutes later the Cougars would take the three-goal lead again at 5-2 on Lucas Beard's second goal of the game. Then in the closing minute of the game Cougars would put the icing on the cake on the Kai Britz goal to secure the 6-2 victory. In the winning effort, the Cougars would stay undefeated at 3-0 while the Hornets would fall to 0-3 still looking for that first win of the season. Next week the teams will be having three-game series again the Northeastern Clinton Cougars play the Saranac Chiefs and the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles meet up. Gallery.
