The game would start well for the Eagles, as they jumped out to a big lead after the first quarter, 23-9. In the second quarter, the Knights would do a better job of staying with the Eagles, as the Eagles led 16-12, giving them a 39-21 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Eagles would finish their shot again,n, and they would have a 19-10 quarter, taking the 58-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game was played very evenly, with the Knights leading 14-12, but the Eagles held on for a 70-45 victory. When the teams returned for the second half, it would be more of the same. Still, the Cougars would have their chances, getting within a couple of points at different times. Still, mental mistakes down the stretch would cost the Cougars, as they would win the half 44-39 but fall 82-7. In the losing effort for the Cougars, they were led by Jeffrey Collins Weeks III, who went to 3-8 on the season. As for the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings, Julius Reed led the way with 33 points as they improved to 6-8 in the season.
