It would be a battle of North Country rivals from theFlorencee Center as the Clinton Community College Cougars would host the #11 NorthCountryy Community College in NJCAA Region 3 basketball as we are nearing the end of the season. The Cougars would be fighting an uphill battle the whole way through. They would do their best to stay with them early, but the Saints would start to pull away and lead 41-29 at halftime. When the teams returned, the Saints were off to the races, as they led 45-23 at halftime and secured an86-52 victory. The game would be called with around 4 minutes left after a fight broke out in the stands, and with the game in hand, the officials figured that was enough for the night. Clinton Community College's Zamir Foster (GK) with the diving stop on the penalty shot attempt by North Country Community College. We would have NJCAA Region III Men's Soccer from the Plattsburgh State Field House as the Clinton Community College Cougars would host the North Country Community College Saints as they would be benefiting the American Cancer Society. Both teams would come into the game looking to right their early season woes and get back on the right track. The Cougars would get the game's opening goal as Ben Burdo would give them the 1-0 lead 11 minutes in. The Saints would not let that get them down as they would keep fighting and Jon Snell would score on the penalty kick in the 22nd minute to tie the game up at one. The Cougars would be relentless though and not give up as they would keep coming and be able to retake the one-goal lead at 2-1 on the Cyle Marshall goal and that would end the scoring for the first half. The Cougars would come out of the locker room on fire as they would have the rare lead to start the half and they would answer with Ben Burdo's second goal of the game in the 61st minute to expand their lead to 3-1. Although the Saints would not give up they would keep fighting back and make it a one-goal game again in the 74th minute as Jon Snell would get his second goal of the game and make it a 3-2 game. The Cougars would not be throwing off their game answer right back 2 minutes later and regain their goal lead at 4-2 on Ben Burdo's hat trick goal and from there the Cougars would hold on for the win and their first of the season at 4-2. In the winning effort, Zamir Foster would make 6 saves as they go to 1-5 on the season. As for the North Country Community College Saints, Marc Bechard would make ten saves on the day but it would not be enough as they fell to 0-5 on the season. The North Country Community College Saints would take on the Finger Lakes Community College Lakers in NJCAA Region 3 action. This would be a very high pace up and down game and would be tight throughout. The Saints would trail by a score of 39-31 at the intermission. In the second half the Saints would do there best to keep it a game stay close but they would fall short and lose 79-73. Leading the way for the Saints would be Michael Boyea and Matthew Gullotta as the Saints go to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

North Country would get on the Lakers early and gets the early edge on the turnovers and Lakers couldn't get much of the answer. The Saints would hold a 30-21 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same and they would get the 54-41 victory. North Country Community College Saints would take on the Corning Community College in NJCAA Region 3 action at Chateaugay Central School. The first half would be hotly contested throughout the Saints would hold a slim 32-28 lead at the break. When the teams returned the Saints would jump on them early and extend there lead to 17 points. Although the Express would not go quietly and get right back into the Saints would have to hold on for the slim 67-63 win. In the winning effort Michael Boyea would lead the way with 14 points as the Saints go to 2-2 on the season. Gallery
