The Cardinals would jump out to a 1-0 lead just 5:18 into the game on the Jake Sacratini goal. The game would stay there till the 5:08 mark of the second period when the Red Dragons would get the qualifier from Morley Phillips. Then, just 2:16 later, the Red Dragons would take the lead at 2-1 on the Matthew Despirit goal. The game would stay there until just 45 seconds into the third period, when the CardinaPls would tie the game on Lonan Bulger's goal at 2. In overtime, the Cardinals would get the game-winner on a 2 1 breakout play when Thierry Lizotte would tap in the rebound for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 29 saves as they evened up their record at 3-3 as they entered their annual Thanksgiving weekend tournament at Middlebury. It would be playoff hockey time from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as it would be a rematch of last year's SUNYAC Women's Hockey finals as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC Semi-finals this time around with 570 fans in attendance. The Cardinals would get the game's opening goal with 49 seconds left in the opening period when Ciara Wall would find the back of the net for the 1-0 lead as they ended the first period. There was no scoring in the second period, but that doesn't mean that neither team had chances throughout the period. However, the score would remain 1-0 after the second period. The game would stay 1-0 until 23 seconds left when the Cardinals would contact on the empty netter from Tessa Morris to secure the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 20 saves in the shutout effort as they go to 19-6-4 on the season and will take on the Oswego State Lakers in the SUNYAC Finals next weekend. It would be a top ten showdown at the RRonaldb Staford Ice Arena as the #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #10 Cortland State Red Dragons in front of 300 fans in a plate for second place in the SUNYAC. The game's lone goal would come from hometown native Mckenzie Brown at the 9:48 mark of the second period. In the win for the Cortland State Red Dragons, Molly Goergen would make 21 saves in the shut win, and the Red Dragons went to 15-2-2 in the season. As for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 24 saves in defeat as the Cardinals fell to 13-5-1 on the season.
