It would be the 6th annual teddy bear toss night to benefit the local youth, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get the home portion of their SUNYAC season underway against the Morrisville State Mustangs in front of 1600 fans. The Cardinals would get the scoring going quickly, letting the fans launch the bears, as Aaron Catron scored at the 3:08 mark of the first period for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there all the way to the third period when Tyler Zembryzycki would score for the Mustangs at the 7:18 mark to tie the game at one. Then the Mustangs would take the lead just 35 seconds later when Connor Santay would score to give the Mustangs the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep fighting through the rest of the period, but they would not have an answer to give the Mustangs the 2-1 victory and their first conference win in their last 18 games. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils as they battle it out to get a playoff spot in the SUNYAC Tournament in front of 1200 fans. The road Blue Devils would look to spoil the Cardinal's chances at the playoffs as they would get the game's opening goal at the 9:17 mark of the first period when Sam Chrenka would score to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at the 12:33 mark of the period when Kevin Weaver Vitale would find the back of the net for the powerplay goal, and the first period would end tied at one. The Blue Devils would retake the lead at the 11:14 mark of the second period when Gavin Bloder would find the net and give them the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep coming and tie the game again with 40 seconds left in the period on Tyler Ramm's goal, and the teams would go into the break tied at two.
