Beekmantown's Mason Carter (12) wrist it by the Byram Hills netminder to make it 2-0 Eagles game at the time, but they would eventually fall 5-2. It would be the first of two semifinals in the NYSPHSAA Division II Boys' Hockey Championships, featuring the #2 Bryam Hills Bobcats from Section I and the #4 Beekmantown Eagles from Section VII. The Eagles would jump out to a 1-0 lead just 3:03 into the game on a Pryce Parker goal. The Eagles would keep it going and make it a 2-0 game on the Mason Carter goal at the 8:50 mark of the first period. The Bobcats would answer right back, though, and make it a 2-1 game 49 seconds later on the Andrey Pytel goal, and that's how the first period would come to an end. The game would stay there until the 14:23 mark of the second period, when the Bobcats would tie the game at two on an Andrew Tymus goal, the lone goal of the second period. The Bobcats would get their first lead of the game at the 8:58 mark of the third period on Kai Licznerski's power play goal to make it a 3-2 game.
