Plattsburgh State's Kaelyn Morgan (25) with the off-balance shot as she drove the lane for the score as part of a game with 16 points. It would be the last game before the winter break for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals Women's Basketball as they would host cross-state foe and fellow SUNYAC member the Buffalo State Bengals in front of 200 fans. The game would be tight through the first quarter as both teams were feeling each other out, and the Cardinals would have the slim 19-17 lead after one quarter. The Cardinals would start to find their groove in the second quarter, extending their lead to 22-12 and taking a 41-29 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Bengals would do their best to get back in the game, scoring 15-11 to shrink the Cardinals' lead to 52-44. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would do what they needed to do to keep the game in hand and win the quarter 14-12, securing the 66-56 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Kaelyn Morgan led the way with 16 points, as they go to 6-2 on the season. For the Bengals, Morgan Popp had 13 points, as they fell to 0-7 on the season.
