It would be the second game of the weekend doubleheader for the #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in SUNYAC Women's Hockey in front of 400 fans. The Cardinals would start the scoring quickly as they would take the 1-0 lead just 3:36 into the game on the Mattie Norton goal. The Cardinals would not be done, and they would make it 2-0 just two minutes later when Bridget Orr would find the back of the net, where the first period would end. The Cardinals would keep coming and make it 3-0 on Bridget Orr's second goal of the game at the 4:33 mark of the period, and that's where the second period would end. With the game in hand in the third period, the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Mae Olshansky's powerplay goal at 15:58 to secure the victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinal, Chloe Lewis would make 18 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals go to 18-5-1 on the season as they head into their season finale against Williams on Wednesday on the road. As for the Canton Kangaroos, Molly Lenihan would make 23 saves as they fall to 6-15-2 on the season and head into their regular-season finale with a doubleheader against the Morrisville State Mustangs next weekend.
