The Plattsburgh State team celebrates behind the net as they would get the game-winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Williams Ephs in a non-conference contest. Williams would take the 1-0 lead on Nick Anderson's goal at 11:29 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 7:30 mark of the second period when Preston Kaye would get the tying goal on the power play to make it 1-1. Then Ephs would get two goals in just under a minute between the 8:30 and 9:30 mark from Nick Anderson and Peter Mistretta to make it 3-1 Ephs. Then with under three minutes left in the second, the Ephs would get a power-play goal from Matt Doyle to make it 4-1 Ephs after two periods.
