Plattsburgh State's Ashley Davis (1) closes off the low corner and makes the stick save. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #8 Norwich Cadets in non confere action. Before the game started the Cardinals raise there 7th national championship banner in front of 650 fans to the rafters as it would be the home opener for the season. The game would start off slow but not for the lack of trying as there were many scoring chances. The first goal of the game would come at the 8:35 mark as Anne Katonka would score to give the cardinals the 1-0 lead. Although the Cadets would answer right back about a minute later on the tying goal by Jullia Masotta. Then about a minute after that the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on Sara Wolfe goal. Then with 2:05 left in the second period the Cardinals would strike again this time with Kaitlin Drew Mead to make it 3-1 game. That would end the scoring as the defense would clamp down and the Cardinals hold on for the 3-1 win. In the winning effort Plattsburgh State coach Kevin Houle would get win 400 of his career as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Emily Caoili (7) battles for the loose ball down by the net to keep it in the end. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Norwich Cadets in the programs first ever home game as the they begin the first year of competition. The game would start out very good for the home Cardinals as they would have the 8-5 lead after the first half. In the second half there lack of experience would hurt them though as they couldn't hold the lead and lose the half 6-2 and the Cadets would get the 11-10 victory. In the losing effort Frankie Porcaro and Reece Wiley would lead the way with three goals each as the Cardinals fall to 1-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Taylor Durnin (10) battles for the lose ball along with the Norwich playerto keep the play alive. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Norwich Cadets in the season opener. The Cardinals would start the game on fire and have a commanding 20-10 lead after the first quarter. In the second the Cadets would do there best to get back into and cut the defecit in half with a 15-11 although the Cardinals would still lead 31-25. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be pretty equal with the Cadets winning the quarter 12-11 and still trail the Cardinals 42-37. In the fourth quarter the Cardinals would pull it together and win the quarter 17-15 and secure the 59-52 victory. In the winning effort Taylor Durnin would lead the way with 13 points as they start there season 1-0. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Mackenzie Millen (11) flips the shot over the goalie for the goal. It would be a non conference battle between top three teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Norwich Cadets. It would be a game that would live up to the hype as the game would remain scoreless until the 13:57 mark of the second period. Then at that moment Cardinals Mackenzie Millen would score a shorthanded goal for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there til the 4:24 mark of the third period when Cardinals Annie Katonka would score on the powerplay for the 2-0 lead. That would be all the scoring on the night as the Cardinals would hold on for the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort Kassie Abbott would make all 32 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery.

The Cadets would get the quick opening goal as Sophie McGovern would score 29 seconds into the game. The Cardinals return fire and score two goals just over a minute apart at the four-minute mark from Kayla Meneghien and Courtney Moriarty for the 2-1 lead. The Cadets would tie the game at two at 5:06 on the Muranda Toews goal. The game would remain there until the 3:57 nark of the third period when Sophie McGovern would score on the power play to make it 3-2. Then at the 10:11 mark, the Cadets would double there lead on the Bryn Labbe goal. The Cardinals would keep fighting and would get a goal late from Kayla Meneghien's second goal of the night. Although it would be enough as the Cardinals would fall 4-3. In the losing effort, Kassi Abbott would make 32 saves as the Cardinals go to 3-1 on the season. Gallery

In the second quarter, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 11-3 with goals coming from Mike Gray, Jimmy Warden, Brendan Dam (2), Ryan Callahan (2) and Ryan McCarthy. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would win the quarter 5-0 and have a 16-3 with goals from Michael Labianca, Patrick Nash (3), and Jake Carroll. In the fourth quarter, the Cadets would get two-goal to make it look better.
