Beekmantown's Kade Collins (9) with the wrister on the breakaway for the opening goal. It would be the season opener and feature the Beekmantown Eagles and LaSalle Cadets. The Eagles would get the lone goal in the first period with just about five minutes remaining from Kade Collins. In the second period the LaSalle Cadets would come back and get a pair of goals from Ryan Murray and Sam Balston to take a 2-1 lead. That is where the game would stay until 1:30 remaining in the game when Christain Wawrzynski would score to tie the game at 2. The teams would go to overtime but it would not help as they would finish tied at two. Gallery.

Section VII Class B Championship: #1 Beekmantown Eagles Vs #2 Peru Indians October 29th 2016

Peru's Evan Palmer (3) with the leaping catch along the sidelines over Beekmantown's Chris Arzola (23). It would be the classic rivalry for the Section VII Class B Championship as the #1 Beekmantown Eagles would take on the #2 Peru Indians. The Eagles would fire the shoot and take the 7-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter the offenses would come alive and combine for 35 points and the game would be deadlocked at 21 at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the defenses would show up as the Indians would get the only score to take a 28-21 into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the Peru Indians would outscore the Eagles 13-8 and secure the 41-29 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians advance to the New York State playoffs and will take on the Potsdam Sandstoners in the first round. Gallery

#1 Beekmantown Eagles Vs #2 Peru Indians October 29th 2016

The Peru Indians pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2016 Section VII Class B Champions. It would be the classic rivalry for the Section VII Class B Championship as the #1 Beekmantown Eagles would take on the #2 Peru Indians. The Eagles would fire the shoot and take the 7-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, the offenses would come alive and combine for 35 points and the game would be deadlocked at 21 at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the defenses would show up as the Indians would get the only score to take a 28-21 into the fourth quarter. The Cougars would take the 1-0 lead at the 8-minute mark of the second period on Kyle Vassar's goal. The Cougars would extend there lead to 2-0 on Adian Lvalley's goal with four minutes left in the second period. The Eagles would cut the lead in half on Christan Wawrzynski's goal in the final minute of the second period. In the final three minutes of the regulation, Matthew Maggy would get the equalizer to force overtime. In the overtime, the Cougars would get the winner in the final minute from Ian Gordon. In the winning effort for the Cougars Ryan Roberts would make 25 saves. In the losing effort, Cole Harvey would make 23 saves as the Eagles go to 0-2-1. Gallery

The Northeastern Clinton Cougars celebrate in the corner as they score the game-winner in overtime. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars in section 7 action. The Cougars would take the 1-0 lead at the 8-minute mark of the second period on Kyle Vassar's goal. It would be a Section 7 Division 2 Semi-final matchup between #1 Beekmantown Eagles and #4 Northeastern Clinton Cougars. The upset-minded Cougars would take the 1-0 on Landon Coulombe's goal at 1:10 of the first period. The Cougars would extend there lead to 2-0 on Dayron Roberts goal at 11:31 of the first period. The Eagles would get on the board before the end of period on Hayden King at 13:15 of the period. When the teams came back for the second period the Eagles would be looking to take control of the game and they did with scoring four goals in 2:30. The four-goal scores in the period would be Nathan Hebert, Brantley Marion, Christian Wawrzynski, and Brendan Davison to a stranglehold on the game at 5-2 Beekmantown after the second period. In the third period, the Cougars would try and mount a comeback as Ian Gordon would score at 7:38 of the period to make it 5-3. The Eagles would stomp out the as they would score at 10:45 thanks to Brantley Marion (second goal of the night ) to secure the 6-3 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles advance to the Section VIIChampionship next week against Lake Placid as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars season comes to an end. Gallery

The Shamrocks would jump out to the quick 1-0 lead on Bryton Burns goal at 2 minutes of the first period. The Eagles would come back and tie the game at one on Kade Collins goal. The Eagles would take a 2-1 lead on Christin Wawrzynski goal at 13:30 of the first period. The game would remain there til 13:10 of the second period when the Eagles would extend the lead to 3-1 on Michael Parent's goal. The Shamrocks would cut the lead to 3-2 on Otto Thomas's powerplay goal at 8:43 of the third period. The Eagles would regain the two-goal lead on Hayden King's goal at 9:03 of the third. The Eagles would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first couple minutes of the first period. The game would stay there until the second period when the Cougars would get a power-play to go to make it 3-1. Shortly after though the Eagles would score to put the lead back at three.
