Plattsburgh's Bryan Kemokai (2) lays it in off the window for the score on the breakaway. It would start the 2025 portion for the Plattsburgh Hornets as they would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Basketball action. The Hornets would start hot, and their defense would be up to task as they would shut them out in the first quarter at 11-0. When the second quarter would get underway, the Sentinels would find their shot, get on the offense,e and get in the game with a 14-12, although they would have the 23-14 lead as the team would head into the halftime break. When the teams returned for the third, the teams would play another tight quarter with some high scoring as the Hornets would win the quarter 17-16 and take the 40-30 lead into the 4th. In the fourth quarter, defense would be the game's name as the Sentinels would try and get back in the game, but the 9-7 would not be enough as the Hornets would hold on for the 47-39 victory. With the win, the Plattsburgh Hornets go to 5-2 on the season as they head into their next game Thursday night at Saranac. As for the Ticonderoga Sentinels, they will fall to 3-7 on the season as they head into their game next week at the Saranac Lake Red Storm. Gallery

It would be a matchup inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Ticonrodegoa Sentinels in boy's basketball action. The home Hornets would get off to a buzzing start as they would have a 19-2 lead after just the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Sentinels would start to find their game and they would stay with the Hornets as it would be a 14-10 quarter for the Hornets and have a 33-12 lead as they head into the break. When the teams returned for action, the Hornets would keep their foot on the gas pedal, storm with a 21-12 quarter, and extend their lead to 54-24 as they headed into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would empty the bench with the outcome of the game, not in doubt and the Sentinels would get the quarter 7-4 although the Hornets would hold on for the 57-31 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets would go to 5-11 on the season and will be back in action Wednesday as they will host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars while the Ticonderoga Sentinels fall to 2-14 on the season and will look to get back on the winning side Friday as they travel to Saranac Lake. Moriah's Riley Demarias (8) walks it in the endzone with one of his three touchdowns on the afternoon. It would be the traditional Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D Championship as the #1 Moriah Vikings would take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Vikings would start off the scoring with a Riley Demarais 8 yard run touchdown run for the 6-0 lead and that is how the first quarter would end. The Vikings would be able to extend there lead to 14-0 on Riley Demarias second score of the game 1:19 into the second quarter on a 44 yard run. Then with just under four minutes left in the half Riley Demarias would get his third score of the half on a six yard run and take a 22-0 lead into the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half the Vikings would let off the pedal and coast it through the rest of the game as Logan Gilbo would get a couple scores in the second half to secure the 38-0 victory. In the winning effort the Moriah Vikings win another Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D title and advance to the New York State Class D Tournament where they will meet up with the section one winner as they go to 8-1 on the season and the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to end at 0-8 Gallery

Peru's Mia Marino (2) with the three from the wing It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference matchup between the host Peru Nighthawks and the visiting Ticonderoga Sentinels. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would be doubling up the Sentinels after the first quarter at 15-6. In the second quarter, the Nighthawks would continue to pull away with a 13-3 quarter and take a 28-9 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Nighthawks would keep their foot on the gas with a 15-6 quarter to extend their lead to 43-15 as they head into the fourth. In that fourth quarter, the Nighthawks would lighten up with the outcome, not in question with a 13-10 quarter, and secure the 56-25 win. Leading the way on the night would be Kortney McCarthy would be 19 points as they go to 6-5 on the season while Ticonderoga falls to 5-3 on the season. Gallery.

Ticonderoga's Braeden Perry (80) broke through the tackle attempt by Plattsburgh's Colin Golden. It would be Week #3 of the Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference season and the Plattsburgh Hornets would be hosting the Ticonderoga Sentinels on what would be early senior night for the Hornets. The Ticonderoga Sentinels would get the quick score and lead as they would run back the opening kick of the game 82 yards for the score thanks to Ayden Smith. Although the Hornets would answer back in a swarm with 33 points in the first quarter with four scores from Trenton Griffiths and one from Michael Phillips as they would have a 33-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Hornets would add to more Braeden McGinnis and Dylan Crowley-Williams as the Hornets would lead 47-6 at the half. When the teams returned for the second half the teams would trade a pair of scores as you could see the Hornets had downshifted for the half scoring for the Hornets would be Colin Golden and Landon Coon while scoring for the Sentinels would be Connor Yaw and Vigliotti. As the Plattsburgh Hornets would hold onto the 60-18 victory and go to 2-2 on the season while the Sentinels go to 0-4 on the season.
