It would be Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Basketball action from Plattsburgh as the home Hornets would meet up with the rival crosstown Peru Nighthawks on a Friday Night. The game would start well for the Hornets as they would start by doubling up the Nighthawks at 16-8 after the first quarter. The teams would be a little more equal in the second quarter, but the Hornets would win the quarter slightly at 9-7 and take the 25-15 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Hornets would be hot, double up the Nighthawks again, this time at 20-10, and take the 45-25 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, with the outcome of the game no longer in doubt, the teams would empty the benches, and the Nighthawks would win the fourth quarter at 10-6, but it would not be enough on this day as the Hornets would get the 51-35 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets will go to 8-4 on the season as they head on the road tomorrow with a nonleague game against the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. It would be the second straight night of the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles rivalry from Plattsburgh, as we would have Boy Basketball action this time. The game would start well for the home Hornets as they would jump out to the 14-8 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Hornets would step up their game on both ends as they would hold the Eagles to just 5 points in, scoring 21 of their own and taking the 35-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, it would almost be like a couple of rounds as the Eagles would come out soaring, have a 20-8 quarter, and cut it down to a ten-point game as it would be 43-33 Hornets after three. It would be the most equal one of the day in the fourth quarter as the Hornets would win the quarter 15-13 as they secure the 58-mandatory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, they will go to 7-2 on the season as Danny Hartman will lead the way with 28 points as they head into their next game against the Saranac Lake Red Storm on the road Friday. It would be the second straight night of the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles rivalry from Plattsburgh, as we would have Boy Basketball action this time. The game would start well for the home Hornets as they would jump out to the 14-8 lead after the first quarter. We would have Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls's Basketball action from the Plattsburgh High School as the Hornets would host their neighbors in their annual rivalry game against the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would come out flying in the first, doubling the Hornets with a 13-7 quarter. In the second quarter, the Eagle's defense would be top-notch for the eight minutes as they would hold the Hornets off the scoreboard with a 13-0 quarter and take a convincing lead of 26-7 lead at the end of the first half. When the teams return for the third, it would be a bit more of a competitive quarter, but the Eagles would still be on top with a 14-9 quarter and take the 40-16 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would empty the bench and score high on both ends, but the Hornets would only win the quarter by one at 16-15 as the Eagles would get the 55-38 victory. In the winning effort for the Eagles, they would go to 6-4 on the season as they head into their next game on Thursday against Ausable Valley. We would have Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Hockey, and for the second time in a week, the Saranac Lake Placid Lakers would come to Plattsburgh and the Ameri-can Sports Center as they would take on the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Hornets would get on the board at the 10:45 mark of the first period on the Chase Laravia goal to make it a 1-0 game. Then, about 90 seconds later, the Hornets would expand their lead to 2-0 on the Lucas Dashnaw goal, and that's where the first period would end. The game would stay there till the third period, as there would be no scoring in the second period. In the third period, the Hornets would make it a 3-0 game at the 11:12 mark on the Braeden Calkins. The Lakers would get on the board with just under two minutes left in the game on the Ayden McCormick goal to make it a two-goal game again at 3-1. The Hornets would finish the game in the final minute on the empty netter from Braeden CalkCalkins'l to secure the 4-1 win. With the win, the Plattsburgh Hornets go to 2-4-1 on the season as they head into their tournament in Albany next weekend. As for the Saranac Lake-Lake Placid, the Lakers go to 3-3 on the season as they head into their meeting with the Beekmantown Eagles. Gallery

It would be Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls's Basketball action from Plattsburgh High as the Hornets would host #14 Saranac Spartans. It would take some time to get the first score of the game. We would be halfway through the first quarter before our first basket, but when the scoring came, the Spartans would string a few together and have the 11-3 lead after the first quarter. When the second quarter came around, the Hornets would find their shot, but they would not be able to chip into the deficit. The Hornets would win the quarter 12-11, but the Spartans would have the 22-15 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Spartans would stay hot with an 11-8 quarter and take a 33-20 lead into the fourth quarter. With the Spartans having the game pretty much in hand, it would be a slower pace in the fourth quarter played, and the teams would tie for the quarter at eight as the Spartans would get the 41-28 victory. With the win for the Spartans, they go to 9-2 in the season as they return home next week. It would start the 2025 portion for the Plattsburgh Hornets as they would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Basketball action. The Hornets would start hot, and their defense would be up to task as they would shut them out in the first quarter at 11-0. When the second quarter would get underway, the Sentinels would find their shot, get on the offense,e and get in the game with a 14-12, although they would have the 23-14 lead as the team would head into the halftime break. When the teams returned for the third, the teams would play another tight quarter with some high scoring as the Hornets would win the quarter 17-16 and take the 40-30 lead into the 4th. In the fourth quarter, defense would be the game's name as the Sentinels would try and get back in the game, but the 9-7 would not be enough as the Hornets would hold on for the 47-39 victory. With the win, the Plattsburgh Hornets go to 5-2 on the season as they head into their next game Thursday night at Saranac.
