Chateaugay's Holly Zeldenrust (17) with the walk-off bases-loaded single to send the fans home happy. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks 7-6 on a walk-off single by Holly Zeldenrust. The Bulldogs would out to 2-0 lead after one. Then in the third inning, the Bulldogs would get four and the Lumberjacks would add 2 to make 6-2 after 3. Then in the 6th, the Lumberjacks would tie the game at 6 as they would get four runs. Then in the seventh inning, the Bulldogs would end the game on a walk-off bases-loaded single by Holly Zeldenrust. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would strike out eight as the Bulldogs would improve to 6-1 on the season.Gallery

Champlain Valley Baseball League Airborne Speedway Padres @ Lyon Mountain Miners May 6 2012

Lyon Mountain's Chris Van Houten (4) on release with the fastball for one of his ten strikeouts on the day. The Lyon Mountain Miners would sweep the Airborne Speedway Padres 7-5 and 9-2. In-game one of the doubleheaders the Miners would take a 2-0 lead after the second. The Padres would answer back with one in third but the Miners would get three in the bottom to have the 5-1 lead. Then in the fourth, the Miners would get two more for the 7-1 lead. The Padres would try to make the late-game comeback but it just comes up short getting four runs in the last two innings for the 7-5 Miners win. In the winning effort, Justin Besaw would strike out four. In-game the Padres would just have no answers for the Miners as they would get 9 unanswered runs in the first six innings. Then in the seventh Padres would avoid the shutout by getting two runs for the 9-2 final. In the winning effort, Chris Van Houten would strike out 10 in 6 innings of shutout ball.

Saranac's batter makes connect on the pitch down the middle for the base hit. The Saranac Chiefs would take care of business against the Moriah Vikings winning 14-1. The game would be tied at 1 after the first. Then in the rest of the game, the Chiefs would get 13 unanswered runs and cruise to the victory. Saranac's Andrew Petro would go five innings striking out four while giving up one hit and one walk. With the victory, the Chiefs improve there record to 6-2 on the season. Gallery

Malone's Alex Johnson (15) drops the curveball for the strikeout in the game one victory. The Malone Huskies would sweep a doubleheader against the Canton Golden Bears 14-6 & 14-0. The Huskies would make easy work of the Bears in both games handily. In the second game, Devon and Bruce Monette would combine for the no-hitter. With the sweep, the Huskies keep there perfect season intact at 6-0. Gallery

Chateaugay's Cody Smith (1) with the catch at second base on the looper. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers in non-league action. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs it would be more the same a lack of offense and timely errors on defense would hurt them through out the day. The Flyers would get out to a 10-0 lead after the first three innings before the Bulldogs would get on the broad and by that point the game would be decided. The Flyers would get the 18-7 victory in six as the Bulldogs go to 1-5 on season. Gallery

The story of the game would be lots of runs and some misplaying the field would lead to runs. The 5th inning would be the Bulldogs dagger as they would allow 10 runs. Gallery

The game would be close at 1-0 until the fourth. At that time the Yellow Jackets bats would erupt for five runs and then come back with another six in the fifth inning to secure the 13-0 win. Malone's Derek Juntunen (6) delivers the bender for a strike. The Malone Huskies would come from behind to get the 7-6 win in extra innings over the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. Ogdensburg would get on the board first with one in the first, three in the third and one in the fourth for the 5-0 lead before the Huskies would get on the board. Then in the fifth, the Huskies would get two runs the Blue Devils would get one in the sixth. Then at the bottom of the inning, the Huskies would explode for four to take the 6-5 lead. Then at the top of seventh the Blue Devils would get one to force extras. Then at the bottom of the eighth Brandon Welch would have the walk-off single to get the 7-6 victory. Getting the win for the Huskies would be Derek Juntunen striking out two. With the Huskies improve there record to 4-0 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Softball Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Union Dutchwomen April 29 2012

Plattsburgh State's Heather Loughran (2) delivers a strike for the strikeout in the Cardinals winning effort. The Plattsburgh State Cardinal would finish off there regular season with a sweep of the Union Dutchwomen. The Cardinals would win game 1 8-3. The first game would be tied at 1 until the fifth inning. Then the Cardinals offense came alive and get four runs in the fifth and another three in the six. Then in game two the Cardinals just couldn't be stopped ad they would get 11-0 victory. With the sweep, the Cardinals finish there season at 27-8. Gallery
