Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins would defeat NAC Bobcats 2-1 in MVAC action. In the first half, Joel Morris(9) - Griffins - would score at 12:51 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. Later on, in the half, Turner(3) would score at 16:32 assisted by Morris(9) to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead. NAC would get on the board by Cory Lafountain; the goal was unassisted to cut the lead to 2-1 but it wasn't enough as the Griffins would hold on and win 2-1. Westport Lady Eagles shut out Johnsburg Jaguars 3-0 in girls MVAC soccer. In the first half, Lizzie Stephens(15) - Westport - would score at 7:13 assisted by Chloe Mitchell(5) giving the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead. Later on in the first, Taylor Gough(13) - Westport - would score at 27:15; the goal was unassisted giving the Lady Eagles 2-0 advantage. In the second half, Ellie Schwoebel(11) - Westport - scored at 49:19; the goal was also unassisted giving the Lady Eagles the 3-0 win. The Lady Eagles had 6 shots, 4 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls, and 2 offsides. The Lady Jaguars had 4 shots, 3 saves, 4 corner kicks, 5 fouls, and 0 offsides.

The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2014 Section X East Division Champions. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Massena Red Raiders in Section X East Division with the two top teams in the league. The Bulldogs would get the straight-sets victory in about an hour. They would win the three games by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-20. In the winning effort, the Bulldogs would finish off the undefeated season at 16-0 and be crowned the 2014 Section X East Division champions. The Bulldogs would strike in the 12th minute on Reid Laplante's goal to make it 1-0. Then just two minutes later Reid would strike again for his second goal to make it 2-0. Then in the 37th minute Jordan Martin for the Bulldogs would make it 3-0. The in the 38th minute Zack Cowan would score for the Bulldogs to make it 4-0 as the teams went into the intermission. When the teams back for the second half it would be more of the same as Nick Ashline would make it 5-0 in the 45th minute. Then in the 46th minute Reid Laplante would finish off the hat trick to make it 6-0. Then in the 71st minute Josh Trombley would get his first career goal to secure the 7-0 win. American Legion's Mark Golden with a catch in front of Maliamakas's Pete Wheatley (6) that he takes along the sidelines for the first down. It would be week 5 of the North Country Flag Football League as it would pit the top two teams in the league the Malianakas Masonry Vs American Legion/SL Trucking. It would be a defensive game all the way through as the American Legion would take the slim 6-0 lead into the break. When the teams came back it would be the same and American Legion would scrap out another score and take the 13-0. In the winning effort, American Legion/SL Trucking would go to 5-1 while T Malianakas Masonry would drop 5-1 with three weeks left in the season. Gallery

It would be week 5 of the North Country Flag Football League as the West Side Saints and Northeast Monsters would lock up in battle. It would be a game that would see both teams have trouble getting there offenses going. The game would eventually need overtime as they went into extra period still tied at zero. In the extra period, Tevin Conners for the West Side Saints would make in an interception in the endzone that he would return for the game-winning score to get the 6-0 victory. In the winning effort, the West Side Saints would go to 2-4 while the Northeast Monsters would fall to 0-6. Gallery

Saranac's Dylan Clay (17) goes low and makes the tackle on the legs of Peru's Brian Stewart (38). The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in Week 7 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Indians offense would be in form as they would take the 14-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as they would extend the lead to 29-0. In the second half it would be more of the same as they would outscore them 22-0 and get the 51-0 win. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians would finish off the regular season undefeated at 7-0 while the Chiefs would finish at 2-5. Gallery.

The Saranac Chiefs would take the 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a Johnny Devins rushing touchdown. Then in the second quarter, the Peru Indians offense would start to click as they would get two scores to take the 14-6 lead into the break. Then when the teams came back for the second half they would pick up where they left off getting another score in the third to make it 20-6. Then in the fourth quarter, they would get one more to put it away and secure the 26-6 victory. With the win, the Peru Indians go to 1-6 while the Saranac Chiefs fall to 0-7. Gallery.

This would also be senior night for the Bulldogs as there five seniors would be honored tonight before the game. As for the game itself, the Bulldogs would make quick and easy work of the Huskies winning the match in about 45 minutes in straight sets. The scores of the three games would be 25-5, 25-8, and 25-10. With the win, the Bulldogs would stay undefeated on the season at 14-0. Gallery.
