#2 Au Sable Valley Patriots Vs #3 Saranac Lake Red Storm - Section VII Class B Semi-Finals - October 20 2017

Saranac Lake's Jarrett Ashton (9) with the stiff arm to Au Sable Valley's Mason Douglas (44) as he takes it for the big gain. It would be the #2 Au Sable Valley Patriots hosting the #3 Saranac Lake Red Storm in the Section 7 Class C Semi-Finals. The Red Storm would get the first score of the game from Jarrett Ashton on a 12 yard run to take the 6-0 lead 5:14 into the first quarter. The Red Storm would extend there lead to 14-0 on Jarrett Ashton's 1 yard run in the closing minute of the first quarter. The Patriots would answer back 3:37 into the second quarter with a 2 yard run by Matthew Pray to to make it a 14-6 game. The Red Storm would come back to regain there 14 point lead on a 19 yard pass to Ward Walton at 7:32 on the second quarter to make it 21-6. When the teams came back for the second half the Red Storm would not let up as they would extend the lead to 28-6 on Jarrett Ashton's third touchdown run of the night. In the fourth quarter the Red Storm's DJ Morgan would a running touchdown to put the icing on the cake of a 35-6 victory. In the winning effort the Red Storm go 2-6 and will face the Saranac Chiefs in the Class C Championship. In the losing effort the Patriots season comes to end at 1-7.Gallery

Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Brushton-Moria Panthers Northern Adirondack Conference Volleyball October 17 2017

Chateaugay's Taylor Staples (34) with the tip at the net for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in there last regular season home again. Before hand the Chateaugay Bulldogs would honor there three seniors on the team. Once the game would get under way the Bulldogs would make quick work of the Panthers winning in straight sets (25-12, 25-6, 25-14). It would be week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League and in Game 1 it would be KC Photo Video Ram Rods against Team Malinick. In the first half, it would be low scoring as Team Malinick up by the slim 7-0 lead. In the second half the offense of Team Malinick as they would win the half 21-0 to secure the 28-0 victory. Team St. John/Downs Vs Team Maulding North Country Flag Football October 15th 2017

Team St. John/Downs defender with the interception in the endzone to stop the scoring chance. It would be Week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League and it would feature Team St. John/Downs against Team Maulding. In a game that would be the tale of two halves, Team Maulding would have 6-0 lead after the first half. In the second Team St. John/Downs would show up on offense as they would win the half 14-3 and secure the 14-9 victory. In the winning effort Team St. John/Downs goes to 3-4 while Team Maulding falls to 1-6 on the season. Gallery

Demolition Derby Showdown Airborne Park Speedway/Clinton County Fairgrounds October 15th 2017

Anthony Smyte (70) with yjr hard shot to the front fender of the Stockwell (96) car during the 8 cylinder feature. It would be the Demolition Derby Showdown presented by Moore 24 Receyling and Airborne Park Speedway. On the day there would be around 30 cars separate between 4 divisions the 8 Cylinders and 6 Cylinders along with the Imperails and Vans. Even though the car count wasn't the greatest the action on the track would be. The feature wins on the day would go to Jamie St. Mary in the 6 and 8 Cylinder and with that he would take home 6,000 dollars for the day. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 7 Beekmantown Eagles @ Saranac Chiefs October 14th 2017

Beekmantown's Sean Dixon (11) with the sliding catch along the sidelines for the first down. It would be the last week of the regular season in the C.V.A.C. and the Saranac Chiefs would host the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would get the first score of the game on a Matthew LaValley 2 yard run 2:53 into the first quarter. The Eagles would extend there lead in the closing minute of the first quarter on a Brandon Belrose 12 yard run for the 14-0 lead. In the second quarter Matthew LaValley would get his second score of the game on at 1 yard run at 6:55 of the second quarter for the 21-0 lead. Then in the closing seconds of the half, the Eagles would add a 21-yard field goal for the 24-0 lead at intermission. At the 9:59 mark of the third quarter the Eagles would extend the lead to 31-0 on a 19 yard run by Dylan Hazel. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would end the scoring with a 17-yard pass to Evan Brunell for the 38-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 4-3 while the Saranac Chiefs fall to 4-3 on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 7 Au Sable Valley Patriots Vs #12 Moriah Vikings October 13 2017

Moriah's Dylan Trombley (10) with the stiff arm on the Ausable Valley defender knocking him to the ground and getting the big gain. It would be the last week of the regular season and Ausable Valley would be hosting #12 Moriah Vikings. This would be a game that Vikings would be in complete control from start to finish. The Vikings would score twice in the first quarter on a couple 2 yard plays one to Jerin Sargent and the other to Connor Anderson for the 14-0 lead. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same as the Vikings would score three more times. This time scoring would be Dewey Snyder 2 yard run, Jerin Sargent 85 yard strike, and Flack on a three-yard run to have the 35-0 lead at halftime. When the teams came back for the second the Vikings would step off the gas and coast through the second half getting just one more score to secure the 41-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Vikings finish the regular season at 6-1 while the Patriots go to 1-6. Gallery

Team Malinik would show why they are undefeated on the season as they would have a 14-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, it would be more of the same as they would win the half 14-0 to secure the 28-0. It would be week 5 of the North Country Flag Football League in game two it would be KC Photo Video Ram Rods against Team St.John/Downs. It would be a tight game throughout that would be affected by the rain. KC Photo Video would have a slim 6-0 lead at the end of the first half. In the second half Team St. John/Downs would change up there attack and win the half 16-0 and get the 16-6 win.
