The Cardinals would have a 3-2 lead after the first quarter with goals from Brendan Damm (2) and Matt Prokescch. In the second quarter, the Engineers would outscore the Cardinals 4-1 and take a 6-4 lead into the break getting the lone goal for the Cardinals would be Ryan Callahan. When the teams would return for the second half the Engineers would win the third quarter 3-1 and have a 9-5 lead the Cardinals goal would come from Joey Kromer. In the fourth quarter, there would only be one goal scored by the Cardinals Patrick Nash.
