Plattsburgh State's Nick Belger (24) with a quick wrister in traffic for the power play tying goal. It would be the classic rivalry this time in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Oswego State Lakers. It would take until the 8:15 mark of the second period until we would have a goal from Jesse Neher to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Lakers would get two goals in the remainder of the period to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead after two periods. The Cardinals Nick Belger would tie the game up at 2 at the 7:17 mark of the third period on a power-play goal. Then the Cardinals would score again at the 10:09 mark from Dillan Fox to regain the lead at 3-2. Although the Lakers would get a late period goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. In that overtime Michael Radisa would score for the Cardinals at the 10:09 mark and give them the 4-3 win and send them to the SUNYAC Championship against Geneseo State. Plattsburgh State's Xavier Thomas (0) takes flight as he drives down the lane for the score. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Oswego State Lakers in the Semi-Finals of the SUNYAC Tournament. It would be a back and forth and game all the way from start to finish tonight. The Oswego State Lakers would take a slim 39-37 lead into the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same and the Lakers would win the half 42-37. It would give the #4 Oswego State Lakers the upset victory over the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals. In the losing effort, Kyle Richardson would lead the way with 25 points. As it would set up the Cortland State Red Dragons and the Oswego State Lakers in the SUNYAC finals and leaving the Plattsburgh State Cardinals to leave their faith in the hands of the committee if they are to go the NCAA Tournament. #1 Beekmantown Eagles Vs #4 Northeastern Clinton Cougars February 25 2016

Northeastern Clinton's Alex Gonyo (10) with the quick wrister on the net in front of Beekmantown's Keller Kowalowski (31). It would be a Section 7 Division 2 Semi-final matchup between #1 Beekmantown Eagles and #4 Northeastern Clinton Cougars. The upset-minded Cougars would take the 1-0 on Landon Coulombe's goal at 1:10 of the first period. The Cougars would extend there lead to 2-0 on Dayron Roberts's goal at 11:31 of the first period. The Eagles would get on the board before the end of the period on Hayden King at 13:15 of the period. When the teams came back for the second period the Eagles would be looking to take control of the game and they did with scoring four goals at 2:30. The four-goal scores in the period would be Nathan Hebert, Brantley Marion, Christian Wawrzynski, and Brendan Davison to strangle hold on the game at 5-2 Beekmantown after the second period. In the third period, the Cougars would try and mount a comeback as Ian Gordon would score at 7:38 of the period to make it 5-3. The Eagles would stomp out the as they would score at 10:45 thanks to Brantley Marion (second goal of the night ) to secure the 6-3 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles advance to the Section VIIChampionship next week against Lake Placid as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars season comes to an end. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Luke Baleshetta (23) goes one on one with the goalie as he breaks down the ice. It would be the last regular-season game of the season and a battle of the top 2 SUNYAC teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #12 Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get the opening goal of the game on a powerplay goal from Matt Solomann at 11:10 of the first period. The Cardinals would answer right back and tie it 1 18 seconds later on a Jesse Neher goal. Then at 13:29 of the first period, Stephen Collins would give the Knights the one-goal lead back. The Cardinals would tie the game back up again this time at two on Conor Gorman's goal at the 16:45 mark of the first period. The game would stay there all the way till the last minute of the second period when Patrick Hermans would score for the Cardinals to give them the 3-2 lead. Although the Knights would tie it at 3 in the first minute of the third period on a Pat Condon goal. The game would end up staying tied at three and the Cardinals would earn there the second tie of the weekend. Plattsburgh State's Dylan Fox (21) and Connor Gorman (11) comes in on a 2 on 0 breaks as time expires in overtime but the game would end in a tie. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play host to the Brockport State Golden Eagles. The game would remain scoreless until the 1:59 mark of the second period when Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall would give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Eagles would soar back with two-goal in a three-minute span Adian Verbeke to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at 17:09 on Chris Taff's goal to make it 2-2. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on the Dillan Fox goal. The Eagles would come back again and tie it at three on a Zack Slichick goal. They would go to overtime but there would be no change and the game would end in a three-all tie. Brady Rouleau would make 27 saves in the tie as the Cardinals go to 19-3-2 on the season. Gallery.

It would be a non-conference matchup as the Salmon River Shamrocks would travel to Plattsburgh and take on the #9 Beekmantown Eagles. The Shamrocks would jump out to the quick 1-0 lead on Bryton Burns goal at 2 minutes of the first period. The Eagles would come back and tie the game at one on Kade Collins goal. The Eagles would take a 2-1 lead on Christin Wawrzynski goal at 13:30 of the first period. The game would remain there til 13:10 of the second period when the Eagles would extend the lead to 3-1 on Michael Parent's goal. The Shamrocks would cut the lead to 3-2 on Otto Thomas's powerplay goal at 8:43 of the third period. The Eagles would regain the two-goal lead on Hayden King's goal at 9:03 of the third. The #22 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe the Potsdam State Bears in the last home game of the regular season. The Cardinals would jump out to a 47-30 lead at the break and not look back from there. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Cardinals would win the half 46-32 and roll to the 93-62 victory. In the winning effort, Xavier Thomas would lead the way with 15 points as the Cardinals go to 19-4 on the season. Gallery.

The Cardinals would be in complete control from start to finish and have a 29-16 after the first half. In the second half, it would be more of the same as they would win the half 33-15 and secure the 62-31 victory. Plattsburgh State's Devona Paul (21) slices around the defender goes up for the layup as part of a 24 point night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe the Cortland State Red Dragons. The Cardinals would take a slim 17-15 after the first quarter. The Cardinals would extend there lead in the second quarter with a 17-13 quarter to have a 34-28 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would win the quarter again 19-15 to give them at 53-43 lead headed into the fourth quarter. Although in that fourth quarter the Cardinals would fall apart and the Dragons would win the quarter 26-13. With the Cardinals would fall in the end 69-66. In the losing effort Devona Paul would lead the way with 24 points as the Cardinals fall to 11-10 on the season. Gallery.

The #23 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe the Cortland State in a battle of the top two teams in the conference. The Cardinals would be in pretty much complete control from start to finish as they would take a 48-38 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Cardinals would win the half 50-40 and secure the 99-78 victory. In the wining effort, Edward Correra would be the newest member of the 1,000 point club for the Cardinals as they improve to 20-4 on the season. Gallery.

Northeastern's Ryan Savage (44) comes in on the breakaway and puts it in the top shelf for the goal. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would travel to Plattsburgh to take on the Hornets in Section VII. The Hornets would come in with revenge on there mind as they had gotten beat in early match this season. The Hornets would get the opening goal to make it 1-0. The Cougars would charge back and tie the game at one on Ryan Savage's breakaway goal in the first period. From there on out the Hornets would be in control as they would score 4 unanswered goals to secure the 5-1 victory. In the losing effort Ryan Roberts would make 30 saves on the night. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Kayla Meneghin (9) taps in the goal along the goal line to start the scoring. The #1 ranked Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in ECAC West action. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get the lone goal in the first period on Kayla Meneghin's short-handed goal at the 4:32 mark. The game would stay there until the 6:09 mark of the second period when Karen Hudson would score to make it 2-0. Then the Cardinals would end the second period with a couple of power-play goals from Courtney Molarity and Jordan Lipson to make it 4-0 after the second period. The Red Dragons would get on the board at 2:28 of the third period to make it 4-1. Then at 6:02 of the third period, the Cardinals would regain the four-goal lead on a power-play goal by Melissa Ames. Then to finish out the scoring the Cardinals would get a pair of goals in under a minute from Ashley Songin and Courtney Molarity (second of the night) to secure the 7-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Aryton Valente (15) with the shot on net on the breakaway attempt. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead at the 5:08 mark of the first period on a goal Ryan Chaisson. The Red Dragons would come right back and tie the game up at one just about 90 seconds later. The game would stay there till the 8-minute mark of the second period when Pat Egan would score on the power play to make it 2-1 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Luke Baleshetea's goal at 9"58 of the second. Then at the 12:44 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 5-1 on Mike Radisia's goal. Then at the 15:45 mark of the second period the Cardinals would make it 6-1 on Nick Belger's goal. The game would stay there till the last second of the game when the Cardinals would score on Santino Ragone's power-play goal to secure the 7-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) cuts in front of the net and puts over the goalie's shoulder for the opening goal. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host arch-rival Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals take the lead early at 4:33 of the first period on Kyle Hall's goal to make it 1-0. Oswego would answer right back thirty seconds later to tie the game up at one. Then in the last five minutes of the first, the Cardinals would retake the lead at 2-1 on Conor Gorman's goal. Oswego would come back and tie the game up back up at 11:54 of the second. The game would remain there till the early minutes of the third when Oswego would take the 3-2 lead. The game would stay there till about two minutes left in the game when the Cardinals would tie it up on a 4x4 goal by Anthony Calabrese. The game would go to overtime where Connor Gorman would get the game-winner with 2 seconds left to secure the 4-3 victory. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would make 27 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 17-3-1 on the season. Gallery.

The Eagles would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first couple minutes of the first period. The game would stay there until the second period when the Cougars would get a power-play to go to make it 3-1. Shortly after though the Eagles would score to put the lead back at three.
