It would be the start of the SUNYAC Men's Hockey playoffs. It would see the #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals travel to Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga Springs Ice Rinks for their quarterfinal matchup with the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in front of 700 fans. The game would remain tied until the 16:549 ark of the 1st period when Tyler Chenevert would light the lamp for Skidmore and take the 1-0 lead after the 1st period. The second period would start well for Skidmore as they quickly jumped to ta2-0 lead on the Coleman Jenkins goal. The Cardinals would answer right back just over a minute later on the Brannon Butler goal to make it a 2-1 game. The Thoroughbreds would come back and regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on Shane Baker's goal at the 7:50 mark of the second period. Then, with just under five minutes left in the period, Skidmore would extend the lead to 4-1 on Cooper Rice's goal, and that's where the period would end. The Cardinals would keep coming in the third period and make a 4-2 game at the 12:03 mark on the Spencer Bellina goal. The Cardinals would get a goal in the closing seconds of the game from Jake Sacratini, rotoake it a 4-3 final, as the Skidmore Thoroughbreds advance to the Semi-finals. In the winning effort, the Thoroughbreds' Tommy Aikens made 35 saves as they went to 15-9-2. As for the Cardinals, Brady Spry would make 34 saves as they finished their season at 13-13. Gallery

It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 31 saves as they fall to 12-11 as both teams head into the final weekend of the season, as they travel to take on Potsdam and Canton. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return to conference play after nearly two months away, traveling to Saratoga to take on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, at the Saratoga Springs Ice Arena in front of 500 fans. The Thoroughbreds would take the 1-0 lead at the 12:22 mark of the first on the Matthew Franzoi goal. The game would stay there until the 5:44 mark of the second period, when Matthew Franzoi would get his second of the night and make it 2-0. The Cardinals would answer back 2:08 later with the shorthanded goal by Vlad Pshenichnikov and make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would score again 31 seconds later and tie the game at two on Riley Sutherland's goal. The game would remain tied till the 15:58 mark of the third period when the Thoroughbreds' Coleman Jenkins would score to make it 3-2. Then, in the closing seconds of the game, Tyler Fogu would add the empty netter for the Thoroughbreds and secure the 4-2 victory.
